Oi you! Yeah, you! 'Av a sit down 'ere an' let Grampa Gazgutz spin ya a story! You 'eard the story of 'ow we came ta be, boy? Nah? Ow'z about I tell you who we is then, yeah?
If my memory serv's, It goes a little sumfin like this:
Long, long ago, when da universe was jus' a snotling, Gork n' Mork was avin' a diskushun 'bout who was tha punchiest an' who was the most brainy-like, an' it went sumfin' like this:

"Oi! Mork! I 'eard tell uv' you sayin' you was the most punchiest, eh?" yelled Gork.
"Yeah, s'the truth! Wot, you think you is more punchier or sumfin?" bellowed Mork.
"Zoggin' 'ell I do! I's more smart-like too!"
"WOT? YOU CALLIN ME DUMB OR SUMFIN?" yelled Mork, enraged.
"YEAH, YOU WANNA MAKE SUMFIN OF IT?" screamed Gork.
"YOUR ZOGGIN' RIGHT I DO! ILL TEAR YA ZOGGIN-Oi, Wot's this?" said Mork.
"Wot's wot?" asked Gork, turning to look over his shoulder. "I don't see nuffin'!"

Gork turned back an' got a face full uv' Mork's fist.

"OI! YA ZOGGIN' SNEEKY LI'L SNOT!" Gork roared. "I'LL ZOGGIN' KILL YA FOR THAT!"

Gork pulled his knife and slashed Mork 'cross the jaw. A drop uv blood spilled out an' splatt-ad to tha ground.
On tha surface of tha universe, that drop o' blood made ripples, an da ripples made waves. A red tide wash'd ova' tha worlds, killin' everythin' and drownin' everythin' else. Everythin' burned, 'umies an' zen-oes alike.
We is that wave, boy. We is that blood.
We crush an' burn an' loot an' kill, an' we does it the best, 'cos we is the
BLOOD UV MORK!

Hi, Dakkites!

I've had a few requests to start a plog for my Blood of Mork orks, so I guess that's what I'm doing!
They are a klan that, obviously, worships primarily Mork.
I'm currently working on a unit of converted AoBR Nobz, which I hope I'll get to posting about soon (pics or it didn't happen, am I right?).

Hope you'll enjoy following my plog (you damn well better ) and I'll get to posting soon.

Hadouken for the god,
H.A.

Ah, finally an update!

Okay, so I've converted all of my Nobz now, But I only have finished shots of two (Not entirely finished actually, they're all glued together now, here they're blu-tacked).
The other two are a normal choppa/slugga nob and a WAAAGH! banner nob.
I'm waiting for some bitz to get delivered currently, to make them a bit more 'Ornate'.
Hope you like!

On to the pics:
Nob 1: Tha Reepa Boy!

Nob 2: Tha Butcha Boy!

More pics of the other two coming (and some good fluff, too)!

for the god,
H.A.

Well, after recieving some bits from ModelBits.co.uk, I went to work with a knife and some glue.
Here's the results (sorry about the rushed images, my photo-shooting spot is occupied):

The Banna Nob (his banna was painted seperately, no pics yet):

The 'Murda Boy':

I was thinking of adding some wires and worky gubbinz to the chain-axe, but I think it fits in well with this boy, that I converted a while ago:

I added a Gun/Knife pack to my 'Reepa Boy's' back, to resolve any "Double CCW" disputes.

Also, my first piece of terrain!
FENCE!

Electric
fence, to be precise. The posts are made from ice cream sticks, the wire is....well, wire, the sign is a nail and some thin plastic and the power box is part of a nobz' slugga. It's based on some kind of foam and reinforced with my ghetto-style plasticard (plastic dinner plates. I can't find ANYWHERE in Aus that sells the real stuff.).

Hope you like!,
H.A.

Aight, so here's some progress on tha nobz.

Banna Nob iz Finished!

The Auto-Adjust feature went to town with the skin colours, so bear in mind it is high-lighted a bit more than in the pics.
Also, I didn't manage to get an in-focus shot of it, but the left pauldron (shoulder pad) is roughly/haphazardly painted with iyanden darksun (yellow). My nobz will all have yellow on one or two objects on their person, painted in this same style.

A penny for your thoughts,
H.A

The teeth seem very pearly white - was that the intention or a side effect of the auto adjust?

That's the auto adjust again. They've got a few layers of Devlan Messiah on them, so they're fairly browny-yellowy-white, as opposed to pearly.

ghosty wrote:I love the reaper guy, but he really should have a skull mask and a hood

I knew I forgot something! Nah, I'm saving the skull mask+hood for a SeCrEt PrOjEcT.....sometime in the future.

Thanks!

I have started painting the reepa boy, but I've run into some problems. Expect an update as soon as my gork-damn metallic paints start mixing properly.
Thanks for all the feedback so far,

While searching the forums for a good name for my upcoming Big Mek, I found this awesome site:
http://www.ergotoxin.webs.com/
It was created by Ergotoxin here on dakka and generates ork names, which IMHO is extremely useful.

Here are my favourites from what I got:

"Da Big Bad" Gasbag

"Da Slayer" undefinedbag (glitches FTW)

Badfingaz

Dictator Warpchop

Grabrod ( )

Try it out!

Just needs some work on the base and it will be perfect. (Looks a little bare - just needs some grass as per your Orks methinks - nothing major. Please ignore if it is unfinished!)

My thoughts exactly, although my static grass experience is most certainly not a pleasant one. Any other ideas?

My big brutha used to use coffee grounds i think. That's a pretty easy one, and then you just drybrush the tops a bit. Sand is also nice because it's light colored to start with so it makes the comparatively darker model stand out all good.

The base does have sand on it, it's just horribly fine textured. My old sand which came in the starter pack was much coarser, I miss it :(

I like the objective marker and fence a lot.

The paint job on that nob is nice, but a little too clean for an ork, I think. Good choices of color, too.
