Howdy all,

So I've been in the hobby for aprox 2 years now. I've played just about every army in the book, went through my whole "build an army, play it to death, sell it" phase. Now I've pretty much buckled down to two armies at the moment (3 when the new 'Crons get around).

As such, I'm starting a P&M blog for my two armies! I'll post pics here later tonight as I have to finish some plaguebearers... but I'll type a brief synopsis of my armies, their playstyles, and where I plan to go to next!

Please note a lot has changed on the first post. The purple-headed vets were scrapped and turned into jump HG (will get pics of them shortly). I added HF's to all my speeders so they need more painting done. I also added a few elements to both armies. My BA are turning into a more DoA/SR heavy army as well. Enjoy the new pics!

Just out of curiosity, im guessing that your DP has a staff made from the banner from the horrors set?
If so, i like it lol.

Half way through painting mine at the moment, which has the same weapon lol.
And enjoy painting kairos, ive also just started painting him, and its actually a pretty nice model to paint.

Yeah, I chopped the sword off, drilled a small hole on both sides, cut the horror staff in half (where the horrors hand was) and tada! Worked well for a tzeentch DP

And I can't wait to get the daemons painted; saddly, however, my BA are more priority and I still have a LOT to paint :(

Used the axe arm though so it looks like he is swinging the staff.

I find my daemons to be easily the best army ive started painting.
Plenty of variety that stops me going mad painting all armour the same colour -_-

Granted ive only just got started painting, but thats because ive been sculpting a few new things and converting like mad.
which reminds me, i need to get the plague dragon GS'ed up tonight.


Ill have to book mark this and keep an eye

Yeah, was trying for an orky-looking skull; like some dudes got bored and grafitti'd it. Think it gives it charecter!

i like the sculpting on some of the blood angels. Ive been trying to sculpt hoods and robes on some of my space marines and none have turmed out nearly as good as yours.

I roll GS flat with a pen when I make cloaks/hoods/gowns.... just make sure to wet the GS so it doesn't stick!

Heres the unpainted Daemons/Dark Eldar. I'll be starting work on them as soon as I finish up the 1850 BA list; Not worried about having a 2500 pt painted list for 'Ard Boyz lol

Note: it was VERY easy to convert 2 additional blasters from the boxes; yes, they don't look 100% like the book, but it would be hard to argue against them as nothing else in the army looks like them. I cut the blades off the shredder for 1, and the other was a Dark Lance with the long portion of the barrel chopped off. I think they look neat!

Note: 1 Haemunculous is an old grotesque model I bought at my FLGS from a bitz box; I think he'd make a neat looking Haem. Especially with the stitched up arms and stuff

Love those venoms. Putting spare sails on them really works for the models.

The DE army looks pretty fierce already. Can´t wait to see them with paint on.

You and me both brother Sadly tho I wanna get some of the Daemons painted up first (even tho they're gonna be shelved for a while after I get all the DE together)

I just have issues building armies up and not painting them; trying to correct that lol. DE will be my last army for a while... at least til new Necrons come out, which is the only other army I want (miss my 'crons :( )

So heres pics of my first DE warrior. My wife wanted me to do a turquoise/teal color on black for the armor. I decided to do kneepads and spikey bits it bronze. I wanted to go with a myriad of colors; I'm pretty surprised how he turned out! Yes, its a little sloppy, my fine tipped brushes are split to hell and I gotta invest in some new ones lol... luckily from afar he looks clean and the blue REALLY stands out.





He still needs some highlighting and some touchup, but hes essentially done. Thoughts? Suggestions?

No comments on the eldar...?
