Not_U - Those 2 mini's are inq right?
Servia and sevora (sp?)
They are pretty common for slaanesh princesses.
Most people also use morathi's pegasus wings that you can order from GW.
Also, if you want something along those lines, look for sophie models from reaper.
Thats a pretty good one and has no nudity on it.

Yep the Inquisitor DCA. Was looking around reaper a touch, but I seem to suck at navigating their site.
Saw that one in a conversion that made reference to it, but couldn't find the specific one. Seems they make a few models of that character.

naw... i think the BB one is way more wicked... look at the barbed wire and the tighs... that is very naughty... adding cloth to cover up places tho would totally ruin the point it is making for me... after all it should count as a slaneesh DP...eh? you need nasty for that i think... tho i also think bulging out her panty in the front would be helpful too... aren´t slaneesh the guys that took everything from the sexy pallette?

I've always thought of maybe doing chaos rivets as drilling a hole then gluing a small bit of wire in place. Are chaos after all. I just got the idea I was using for an Eldar titan, project might get kicked off. Though leaves the issue of the top half.

No probs
Thats about the only sophie model that is to scale really.
Everything else is far too big.
Also, love the weird and wonderful theme of your army, but have you checked out any of the banebeast models?
They are again something that broadens the range a bit and look amazing.

Yeah, was just discussing Euryalia a touch on the previous page. Not seen any of the models in person though, but they did get my interest at first with Oácyning. Then I sort of lost interest in the line after the next few things I saw of it so catching up on it a bit.

Well as something to do in between making more Fiends I figured it was time to do some mini tutorials for the different skin tones. Seeing as I had that one for the blue I'm not even using.
Starting it off with the Deneb Stone base purple skin.
To start off the skin area is given a coat of Deneb Stone. It would be nice to have it as an even coat, but it doesn't matter too much if there's already some "shading" in it as it will be built up on a touch and cover it anyway. As usual the pink and purple areas are basecoated Liche Purple.
Pink areas are given a coat of VGC Squid Pink, purple is drybrushed with 1:1 Liche Purple to white focusing on avoiding the recesses.
Then you have to pick a point somewhere off the model and picture it as the light source. The areas raised towards this point need to be brighter than the rest; it's sort of a quicker way to highlight in my opinion when it comes to rank and file models. For the purple areas the previous mix of 1:1 Liche Purple to white is then mixed 1:1 with more white. This purple is then applied to the raised areas facing the light point. For the pink the same is done, but instead the mix is 1:1 Squid Pink to white. The model is now up to the point where it can be washed easily. The main reason it is left for this long is due to trying to keep the purple and the skin tone together and also to avoid any mistakes that would mark the skin as it is sort of annoying to fix up a small part of it without having to redo the entire limb. It's also probably a good point to touch up on the Deneb Stone to tidy it up if needed.
The model is then glazed using Leviathan Purple. This is done by using a thin coat to just tint the colour underneath, being careful to avoid pooling outside of any recesses. I tend to use a soft bristled brush when doing this as I feel it works a little better. If a darker colour is needed it is best to do several coats like this instead of just one thick coat as it will usually pool where you don't want it and create a bit of hassle.
Also noticing the bit I missed on the chin more.
All but the recesses on the flesh is then lightly drybrushed Bleached Bone as it is very similar to Deneb Stone but unlike Deneb Stone it doesn't have the same coverage which is a good thing in this case. Afterwards the skin is then given another glaze of Leviathan Purple, althought the pink and purple areas are not this time.
The most raised up areas of flesh are then drybrushed Bleached Bone.
Sort of back and forth a bit.
The skin is then given a final glaze to tie the highlights in with the colour underneath.
The pink is given a highlighting drybrush of 1:1 VGC Squid Pink to white to brighten it back up again a little from the glaze it got a while back. Then using a small brush, Leviathan Purple is put in recesses that would have a shadow cast on them from the point of view of the light source; such as just under the ridges on the armour. It's also then used on the eyes and for something different this time the lips.
I'll have to leave it at this point and finish it off tomorrow.

Probably just the light, tried to make these a bit bright to make it easier to see.
Black Ink is then applied with a small brush to the eyes (being really really careful to avoid getting it anywhere but the eye ball), the collar and metal parts. If you're careful enough you can avoid the top edge of the collar allowing Badab Black to be used to "highlight" later; however it really isn't needed too much. You could use black paint for this, but mostly I just use the ink since I was already using it for the eyes. The reason I use it for the eyes is the sort of light sheen it gives, gloss varnish could possibly be used but I haven't tried it yet.
The gold areas are based with Dwarf Bronze, at this point you can also try to make the armour more fancy by lining it. Using a small brush Badab Black was added to the hair decoration and also on some of the recesses that needed to stand out a touch more like the folds in the cloth. The hairline also gets the black applied to it.
If you want to sort of speed paint the rank and file it's basically done at this point, could even avoid the gold lining and buttons perhaps. It's really just a touch slower due to having to take breaks to update this.
The underside of the bronze is painted Tin Bitz while the upperside and edges are highlighted with Shining Gold. All that needs to be done at this point is the basing then the model is good enough for rank and file as when it comes to hordes it's how they look together more than apart.

Still has to look good I suppose. But if you spent forever on painting all the infantry in a horde to the same level as the commanders you'd probably never play a game with them.

In that case you just do what i do
Normal models get a basic paint job and larger ones get done to a good standard.
Once you have everything painted you can go back and keep adding in more details or highlights etc to the normal models and eventually you have a nice army.
But until its finished, atleast everything has paint

Well this army hasn't seen a game either yet.
Unless you count the quick game I had after I had just finished gluing some of them together. Guess I'll have to see about getting a game in with them now, put up what I can remember of it all as a sort of battle report.
Also I guess a quick picture of a quick terrain piece I've worked on sort of on and off. It's going to be an IoM power generator (change of pace from the trees, hills, rocks and logs I seem to have).
10 points to whoever can guess what it is though.

For the FW Keeper of Secrets, try assembling it without the spines. I have seen a KoS that was being assembled before they put on the spines and it actually looked quite good. The bits where the spines fit in look almost like coral.

I'll try to keep it in mind when I eventually get around to getting one. May even be able to go as far as magnetising them in place.
Here's the tutorial Daemonette, based and ready to go.
Trying to scrape up content to make post 12k somewhat more meaningful seeing how Slaanesh's number is 6 so may as well. So putting together a display board for the Daemons themselves. So far this is what I have. Not much so far, but it's at the point I can throw tons of runes onto it I suppose.
Speaking of runes I translated two more "paragraphs" (lines seem to be much longer in these runes) into the Daemonic runes to use with the army. Split them up into their individual passages to make it easier to post here.
"Shaking my brightly shining golden hair, I spin a melody of the moment with you."
This is the main one I intend to use, probably on the board and maybe the next Daemon Prince's base. Though this one does follow the first directly it looks better.
"That painfully sad melody is spreading, I say a wish to hope that it echoes forever."
Then to finish it all off I put together all the Slaanesh Daemons and made an army list to figure out just how much I had so far and also so I could use them.
Total 1000
Keeper of Secrets (Iluni)
Daemonic Gaze, Soponific Musk
Fiends
Two, Unholy Might
Fiends
Two, Unholy Might
Daemonettes
15, Icon
Daemonettes
15, Icon
Daemon Prince (Nyarlathotep)
Daemonic Flight, Mark of Slaanesh, Aura of Acquiescence
Though not entirely a competitive build some of the things are in there just for fun, like Daemonic Gaze (24" S5 AP3 Assault 3) which I figured the KoS has an 18" threat range (6" move, d6" run, 6" assault), but if they're not in range I suppose this can still let it do something. Or even if it is in range soften the unit up. Probably swap it out later for a better upgrade, but the idea of the Daemon running up and glaring at some marines making them explode is sort of appealing in an army which other than that doesn't fire a single shot.
The musk also gives it hit and run allowing it to essentially slingshot to a proper target by charging another unit or duck out of the way of shooting which being a big target it will see a lot of.
Unholy Might on the Fiends feels worth it though, without it they have 5 attacks at S5 which is respectable, but chuck that on and one in the unit has s6 instead and I suppose can open transports a touch easier. Probably more or less training wheels as when the units get bigger they probably won't need it anymore.
The Daemon Prince is probably sort of crappy, but I gave it AoA since the rest of the army besides the fiends (who had no option to it) had it by default and having the effect of grenades when charging into cover is pretty useful. I'd put in Iron Hide so it has a 3+ save to keep it going easier, but that puts me 30 points over the 1k mark so it'll have to wait for the next points range. It's already bad enough trying to cram two MC into this points level anyway. Daemonic Flight is expensive, but without it it'll be moving significantly slower than the rest of the army; the lack of any way to give it fleet already making it slower as is even with the wings though at least it can keep up somewhat.
As a prediction for how the game goes I guess the prince will likely under perform and thus it'll be used the same way I use the Avatar when I use Eldar. Fun enough this game should be against Dark Eldar, so off to a good grudge match.

Yay Luna finally joins in.
I guess they are a little different Vik, they're at least toned down from the KoS' "Screaming is just vulgar".
In context it was:
Anyway moving onto the board, I ended up just going with the "That painfully sad melody is spreading, I say a wish to hope that it echoes forever." one though I got an idea while painting it.
To make it "echo" around by splitting it in parts, it all says the same thing, but where it splits the sentence still continues but in multiple parts instead. Scale shot to show the size of it and also to give this update a cooler thumbnail.

Added white into the center of each of the runes bringing them closer to having their slight OSL done. Still not happy about how all front on shots of it seem to come out, but I like the way it looks under the models. To go with them dragging all the grass along with them, I'm thinking of making this base sort of like a tree; the runes themselves being the branches which is where the grass will spread out from.
Also got Fiends five and six put together. They're a touch bigger than the others, but that's because I actually don't measure the sprue when I cut it. Instead I just cut a length that looks right then use that as a template for the rest I'll cut for that session. So if they're made in a batch they're likely to all have the same height or roughly the same height at least. Also Fiend six was kind of an experiment for a slimmer fiend. You can see from the front on shot that it mostly meant it wasn't built up too much. I'll probably be able to fix it up in painting. I also cut the sprue in a way that allowed them to lean a little.
I'll see if I can get them painted in time, but I'm considering leaving the fifth unpainted for the game in case I get the "you can't use non- GW models" speech and have to prove I sculpted them myself, since the game will be in a GW and I haven't been there in quite a while so have no idea if the old cool staff are there or not anymore. Either way this is going to be the tallest they get since it's really more of a disadvantage to have them super tall, they thin one looks alright and is faster to put together and that they'd be slowly creeping towards the MC end of the scale.

and now i see why this text might be fit for a slaneesh army^^
the fith and sixth fiend looks good... specially like the tentacles on the sixth as the pose looks very convincing!
and yes i think your strategy would be good to have a game in a FLGS if they get all nerdy about not GW stuff on you!
