There are not enough troops in your army to last in an objective based game. Your gretching will be most likely be swept away and only having 40 boyz at 1850 is unheard of. I run 40 in my 1000 pt list and I feel like that's too little.
I also agree that there are far too many lootas.

Kill some lootas. I know they are crazily powerful units in tourneys, but they are eating your points to bits.
SO if you can't find points other ways, killing some lootas seems the best way to go.
I am guessing that you will be using the grots to fill in the gaps in between the kans, good idea.

I am guessing that you will be using the grots to fill in the gaps in between the kans, good idea. arent grots going to get tored to pieces?? (WS2, T2, I2) and grots do not give cover save anymore since they are too small (QQ) and yeah, 45 lootas are going to give you big shooting, but it is also 675 points ((15*15)*3) put around 20 ish lootas and put more boyz, a 30 boyz mob with a nob( PK/ BP) cost 220 points without any special weapons. SO here is a suggestion: Lootas x 7 = 105 Lootas x 7 = 105 Lootas x 7 = 105 TOTAL = 315 points, so 360 points left to put on boyz 20 boyz w/ 2 Big Shootas and PK/ BP = 170 20 boyz w/ 2 Big Shootas and PK/ BP = 170 and you have 20 points left to put somehwere else (more boyz, bigger gretching squads????) That way, you would have 6 scoring units, and 80 boyz, lots of dakka (trying to follow the style you were going) and 4 pks to bring the pain on heavy armored targets.

The grots are for grabbing objectives in the back while the rest of the army advances. coverd by all the fire support from the lootas.

that is what I thought, its just that the option of putting them in front was proposed (which I didnt understand)
but yeah, grots are good for 40 points

What "rest of the army?" Kans aren't very hard to deal with in close quarters (just about any MC or Walker will do), so that leaves your army with 40 Boyz for hitting power. 40 Boyz is what it costs just to reach the enemy. You need another couple mobs left to deal damage. Too many Lootas, too many Kanz. You only need just enough Kanz to cover your some of your Boyz, and just enough Lootas to crack the enemy's transports.
Boyz before toys.

just played a 1750 tourney last saturday, came in tied for first with the guy i drew with at top table.
Hq:
kff mek
kff mek
Elites:
none
Troops:
Deff dread, 2x rokkits
Deff dread, 2x rokkits
27 boyz+nob/pk/bp(28 total)
2 more copied units of boyz
Fast:
9 rokkit buggies
Heavy:
9 rokkit kans
Plenty of boys, plenty of walkers, plenty of rokkits, plenty of cover saves from dual kff, you can keep 20 vehicles covered if you play it properly!
Do something more like that depending on what models you have, then maybe add the grots in with the last 100 points

Victory is not the most important outcome. Enjoyment and excitement is the best outcome, victory is sweeter when it was fun. |

Take out a squad of lootas and add in 30 more boyz. Also What I like to do with a KFF is put one in a BattleWagon. Then you measure from the hull of the BW for the KFF.

Just to re-iterate the other posts - less lootas, more boyz.
Also, the 1 Big Mek isn't going to be enough to cover the amount of boyz/kans you have. I recommend taking a second one.
