High time I posted a status update as well, lest I forget.



Instead of finishing those annoying infantry models I've been "rewarding" myself instead with working on tanks. The two Executioners are more or less done now, both have their decals in place, they just need to be sealed in. The Exterminator still needs to have some titbits done, such as the searchlight, the cable connected to it and the vision blocks. This is the third vehicle of the squadron, so two more to go.

After that though.. back to those Raging Heroes models.

I really ought to post something but I've had next to no hobby time this month. I'll be lucky to get a single model finished.

Half term is over, and here's my last offering before school comes back - Descent Trolls, also for use in Dungeon Saga as Ogre Brutes or Dungeons and Dragons as...trolls!

Lovely models and I'm happy with the scheme - a bit more fussy than the ogres though!

I got 6 more zombies done up today, they just need the strong tone applied. Might get some time tomorrow to paint some more up. No pics since they look terrible till they get the wash.

I like the angel thing. Cool effect for sure. Too much effort for me, but that's why I hang around and watch what the rest of you guys do

Really cool work on that Angel, that purple really pops. The base really works as well.

I am progressing slowly this month but did get my Algoryn basecoated today. I am really enjoying the variety that we see in this collective project.

I find that mind-boggling! Your minis look so great. If you put less effort in that which I described, you clearly are a superb painter to achieve your standard of mini in less time

BrookM good to see someone other than me is doing Russes this month! Just finished mine on Sunday (only one though).

I'll get some finished pics some time in the next 2-3 days once the rest of my Guard are finished and my Cryx get their touch ups, then I might work on some stretch goals. Probably will be these Tyranids I've had laying around for nearly 4 months now, need to get them done for a friend of mine.

I would post some progress photos. If progress was being made. Can't complain too much about a fairly social month. But certainly eats into the painting time. Have managed to secure a trade for a Tyrannofex so fingers crossed it turns up soon.

On a different model note; with GW discontinuing Tomb Kings, if anyone has any Ushabti, Bone Giants or Necrotects lying around I would be interested in having a chat.

But hopefully more Tyranids soon. Two weeks is a long time....

Bah, you will make me blush, they aren't that special! Pretty much everything I do is basecoat, (maybe) drybrush, dip, matte seal. There's a little more here or there but nothing like smooth blends involving mixing half a dozen colors! I've just managed to find a few parlor tricks to make my minimal efforts look nicer than they should

Still gotta finish these orclings and get them a base... I'm trying, so many distractions this month!

Made some painting progress on my Trygon and Carnifex for this month's pledge.

Also converted up some Zoanthropes, and started basing/painting the first batch of spore mines and swarms.

I've almost got my Blood Throne wheelie chariot thing done. Damn that thing did not want to glue together correctly. Horrible connection points, vague spots for the Bloodletters to stand... ugh.

I'll try to post a photo of it tonight.

At this point I just need to finish the Juggernauts and I'll have actually finished painting the Start Collecting: Khorne box.

Still need to do the bases... but at least I've got a week or two still!

That Rangers' Project Salamander has been requisitioned for the Greater Good.

I hate to tell you this, but the Hazel is in Titans blue and black, not gray. What is that throne thing? I can't make sense out of it.

I went with a lighter Titans' blue. I know what I'm doing, and I checked out plenty of artwork before taking the plunge. Yeah, Titans tended to be darker, but there's plenty of lighter versions out there. So hush with your Gundam nerd talk. There was an actual Tau sept with similar colors, so it's official. Nyah!

That throne thing... I can't make it out either. It's weird. It's got flesh parts, metal armor parts, chrome pipes and exhausts, mouths and teeth, skull acne embedded everywhere... just need to put it on a base now. No clue how it even moves, or why everyone is chained to the thing.

The guys on the front platform look like a pair of gymnasts at the circus or something perform. "Ta dah!"

The scheme works. Now for the big guys. All that's left is the Matt varnish and then gloss varnish claws and head bulge. More stuff in my MEdge blog

Back in Korea and back to painting. ONly 10 days left in the month and am back to teaching next week. Couldnt sleep last night so I wewnt through EVERYTHING I need to get done hopefully by the ned of June (full list os over on my Áll The Rest' thread - it's a doozy!) so Feb's targets are mostly about finishing so stuff up:

10 days to go! I think I'm going to find it hard from next month onward to keep up my hopeful pace, since I'm not able to do much outside the weekends anymore, and have to fit painting in with all of the other things I want to do on the weekends...
