ALL WHO GIVE YOUR MARKETING THE TIME OF DAY GET NOTHING.
And then hours later The website updated.
But now it's a website with buttons and links that when I click nothing happens...
Not a great start.. hope the game is less bugged.
Rumours of multi platform. Ipad or iPhone will be nice.
For Multiplayer at work (where I'm most likely to find time for chess!) I'll need it to be web based...
...
In the mean time heres the trailer.
It Looks Awesome.
I'm sure this game will be good, but come on Hammerfall give us the proper details... ... ... ... We've waited.

Interesting, I wonder who the creator of this is? I doubt its FFG considering they still have that wh40k card game their releasing, any others that GW tends to give their IP to?

Everything I say, barring quotes and researched information, is my personal opinion. Not fact.

There was a thread on this last week or so, which we removed after some discussion with relevant parties, as it seemed someone jumped the gun somewhat with regards to the announcement of the game.
Ross Watson -- who did some fine work with the 40KRPG range -- was the lead writer on the project.

yeah, If it's just chess with a 40K coat on.... I'm still interested!! Especially if it has a 'play by mail mode' or whatever its called and Especially if it's web based and I can play while at work.
Regicide wrote:Regicide is a human tabletop game played across the Imperium of Man. It uses a board and pieces or can be played using a virtual holographic display. It is similar to the ancient Terran game of chess, and can be played on a "hooded" board where only certain pieces are visible, making the game more complex. It is known that this game was played by Chief Librarian Petrok of the Iron Snakes Space Marines Chapter as a trainee Librarian to improve his tactical ability without relying on his psychic talents.

So Regicides in the fluff as future version of chess.. evolved.. Chess with fog of war! sounds cool.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

There have been a fair few timer issues where folk think it's counting down for a specific time zone, but instead it's counting down based on whatever machine/server it's hosted on
so give it 24 hours to be sure it's not just that sort of glitch
Not buying thaqt one Orlando, we got Aussies and Brits both seeing the Zeros. Someone just didnt have the the time to recite the litany of smooth transitions.
So does this mean GW is going to screw up the rules for chess now?
Are we going to be flooding the forums of how chess is suppose to work now?

No but there will be a huge rant on the fact that the queen is grossly OP (and how Queen-spam lists are ruining the meta), the rules for a bishop are badly worded and if taken RAW allow them to voluntarily move like a knight, and that the king is a useless unit that is severely overcosted for its abilities...
And that is why you hear people yelling FOR THE EMPEROR rather than FOR LOGICAL AND QUANTIFIABLE BASED DECISIONS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE MAJORITY!
