Those tracks are pretty awesome. Definitely looks a lot more brutal/chaotic. Flesh Grinder Pattern suddenly springs to mind.

Thanks guys the Machinator tracks are definitely one of the best additions to the Land Raider kit Ive seen. Especially these ones for World Eaters, they just scream KILL MAIM BURN!

Gearhart, thanks for the words on the Gorehound Titan I will get back to that soon but at the moment im concentrating on getting all my game playable pieces finished.

No updates tonight Im afraid as Im completley done in after work. Hopefully do some more work over the weekend. Have a good one folks.

The Land Raider is indeed looking very cool, buddy!

I must say that, from a modelling perspective, the LR is one of the most uninteresting selections in the codex, in my opinion. But you still managed to almost make it look interesting enough to be worth it. Hmmm....

In any case, those tracks are fantastic and should definitely be included on pretty much any Chaos LR. I would like to know how robust they are: Is there any acute danger of something snapping off, or are they rather stable?

Looking forward to your next update!

Thanks for the words guys. I'm happy with how it's turned out considering the sorry state it was in when I got it.

I'm finishing work a bit earlier tonight and was planning to work a little more on the Raider and a few other pieces to get them ready for primer. That plan was of course before I remembered the 6 Nations was on today and definitely before Scotland won! So tonight I won't be doing any modelling, tonight I'm getting drunk! Updates soon hopefully folks.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And Kraut the tracks are made of fairly sturdy stuff. They're not brittle at all.

Tonights update is actually someone I completely forgot about, I started him a whie back and then I had a bit of a disaster in the room I keep all my hobby stuff so he was packed away and forgotten about. I did a little work on him tonight, the head is still a placeholder as I have a few ideas to make one a little more like Kharns. His legs still need tidying a bit and I may replace the sword, the lower handle fell off after I took the first pic so it will need pinned anyway

This guy will be run mostly as a power armoured Lord but I like the idea of him occasionally running as Mr Kill, Maim, Burn himself.

Even if he isn't Kharn, it's a still a sweet Khorne Lord model. And love the tracks on the LR, will deffinatley get me some of those

Loving the added detail on this guy, especially the tilt plate and the chains! If my package gets there in time, you should have a couple of additional options regarding the head

One possible problem is that the legs may end up looking too plain once they're painted, since they're missing the added chaos trim, so maybe you should add some decoration there.

Looking forward to the next update, buddy!

Thanks guys, I have thought about the legs and I'm thinking about switching them. The mk6 leg especially. Liking th sound of the head possibilities Kraut. I have a couple of ideas like I say but ill hold off till your package arrives to see what I get. I picked up a box of the Dark Eldar from the 3rd edition 40k boxset. It also came with the ruins and a Space Marine Land Speeder still on sprue. So in a few weeks I'm gonna have a terrain building frenzy.

Whoa, buddy, are you going retro-Dark Eldar on us?

Seriously, though, if it turns out you don't need the bare DE heads and the ones with the two blades on each side of the head, I'll happily take them off your hands, since those are the one I use to build my Sisters of Silence Oh, and I have some very fond memories of those old DE sprues. They may not look like much nowadays, but I taught myself how to convert stuff using the same ten DE parts over and over

I always liked the ruin set from 3rd edition - of course it's much less grandiose than the newer cityfight terrain, but it should still look great on the table!

No plans for the DE at the moment, I was more interested in the terrain and marines/speeder. They were just a nice sweetener The next package I send your way will include some of those if you like.

Thanks mate, appreciate it, I am rather proud of him and the Gorehound. Speaking of which, I had a mess around with bigger brother earlier looking at improving its shoulders and dropped the fething thing so in an epic example of 'throwing the toys oot the pram' its been banished back to the cupboard of shame for now. I will work on it but I want to finish the infantry/fast attack sections of the army then Ill look at him over the summer possibly.

Worked on the objective marker/shrine as well tonight but my superglue decided to behave a little strange which meant I had glued my fingers to everything desk, jeans, other fingers and face (a new low for me :() I got there eventually though an heres the results of what was waaay to long spent unsticking things lol

Hey again! Sorry I've been gone for so long, the dreaded modhammer hit me in the face.

Anyway, excellent work so far! Loving the tracks on the Land Raider.

Thtas actually a really good use of Warshrine bits. Makes a fantastic marker. I've stuck my fingers to each other, models and clothes but never to my face. You have made a new low on that front

Yeah it was an experience. Lol.

Next up I'm gonna finish off the Land Raider and Raptors then the Lasher Fiend and Voorhees the Relentless. Then I've got an 8. Man CSM squad with an Icon bearer. There's also the small matter of the Gorehound. After that I have approx 1500-2000pts of Star Phantoms to work on. So not a lot really.

Thanks buddy. I'd kinda burned myself out on the Gorehound, like I said I was looking to work on it a couple of days ago but dropped it and it broke up slightly. I'm gonna look at this a positive thing though as I was never really happy with the shoulders. There will be progress on it soon.

As for bits I use a few different sites and eBay sellers. Occasionally I do buy full kits but when I was building the Gorehound I realised it was gonna cost a fortune.

Thanks guys,

Its not the standard I really want but Im running out of time as I have to pack my flat up and work before moving next week. I will revisit him and sort out a couple of touch ups in the future.

I wanted him to have a more ancient look than Krueger the Undying hence the reason he has more brass and is a slightly darker red.

Cold tires, wet road, and knee dragging... great formula for a bad ride. And highside SUCKS! One of my drops was highside, and I distinctly remember having a lot of time to think about what was about to happen before I hit the pavement. Ugh. Glad that neither of us seem any worse for wear.

Back on topic... this project just keeps getting better and better. This was staggering (spoiler to not stretch out this post)

Spoiler:

I especially like the eyes and the weathered bone effect. From a fluff perspective it looks terrifying to anything coming up against it, and the NVG / security cam shots were especially creepy.

Great job all around.

Highsides do indeed suck buddy, hasn't stopped me playing with fast bikes though

Thanks for the words on both Voorhees and the Blood Stalker, while Voorhees doesn't look bad I don't think I've really done the model justice so will revisit it in the future.

As for the CCTV pics of the Stalker those were by Krautscientist, Im waiting on a package arriving from him so I can crack on with Varrus as well So hopefully Ill have updates on him in a few weeks. Unless Royal Mail pull the same 'lets send Bios package on a vacation then back to Germany' lol
