I believe pre-orders usually go up midnight GMT, with an difference of an hour depending on whether if Daylight Saving Time is in effect in the UK.

So in approximately 9 hours from the time of this post.

Kroothawk, I think the Collectors Ed. also contains "Warzone Armageddon" (you can see a couple blurbs about it in the photos but no real details other than it has rules for the Third War for Armageddon).

You are right, two warzone files: Pandorax and Armageddon. But I think, both are included in the standard Apocalypse rulebook, here as separate "secret files" for style.

Odd thing I noted from a quick flick through the new issue.

During the battle report, one of the players uses a stratagem -- undermining or collapse or somesuch ? -- that, I think, removes one section of the RoB board they're playing on.

No, the Pandorax campaign (GK, DA and CSM) is not included in the default Apocalypse book, but they hint that it will be available later through other means, but not for a few months at least. The Armageddon campaign is included though.

Wait what? Now that's just silly and a lot of effort. What if you aren't playing on a RoB board? Put police tape and a sign that says "this table does not exist" on the missing section?

You're allowed to play Warhammer on something Other than a Realm of Battle board? GW never told me that!

It is likely that you will not be able to pick that one if you are not playing on a RoB. Fantasy has something like that in storm of magic and it forbids you from using it without a RoB.

Technically, it says don't use if not using a RoB board or similarly constructed table.

And by "Similarly Constructed" they must mean a table that can't be measured off into 2' x 2' sections? Come on, we measure off sections of the table every game for deployment, it's not like we can't do it during play. I know they want to sell their tables, but that's going a little too far.

That's what I fear about this version of Apoc - there won't be a thing in the book that isn't represented via an existing model and/or template.

Consists of at least two Ork Deff Dreads, and 6 Killa Cans. Some Randomness involved as the formation can give the group extra bonus's to close combat, shooting, give it a kustom force field, and sometimes combine the effects

The Lost and the Damned (Chaos Space Marines)
It infiltrates, ignores pain, massive bonus's to assault, and destroyed units within the formation can be brought back to fight some more. 6 units of 10 cultists and a Dark Apostle make up this formation.

I'm looking forward to this release. I'm slightly disappointed about the lack of new big kits.

At this point I actually prefer the Khorne superheavy to the new Necron kit. Roll on midnight.

HBMC brings up a valid concern. Are they going to remove rules for Warlords and Imperator titans? Or the Plaguebearer SHV?

It will be interesting what all is in the book. For 74.75 it better be a damned lot!

You could just taken an axe to your table and hack off a 2x2 section?

Actually, to me, that's only slightly removed from the mentality of spending £200 on a 'collectors edition' of the book.. it's managed to make the price of the Forge World Horus Heresy book seem reasonable by comparison.

Guys, just a thought. There might be new models being released that are not under GW. It's infrequent that we have leaks about Forgeworld releases. Remember, this is Apocalypse. So we might very well see an Imperator model in this release. They've been building up - from the Warhound to the Reaver, and the Phantom and Revenant titans.

Same here. APOC is my favorite way to play. I'm already pissed I have to buy new templates...and that has soured me somewhat to this release. I loved the scratch built uber laser in the original APOC and all the cool scratch built tables. I would be sad face if all the tables had a "canned" or "out of the box" look to it. The new APOC Batrep definitely felt that way.

But if we've learned anything from the GW vs CH lawsuit, its that GW will not release another codex without having models from it. They don't want to let a second rate third party fill in their gaps. Its better to hold off on getting the codex updated so they can ensure they have filled 100% of the models in their new book. Hence the reason we didn't have any substantial updates for a year and a half or so and they are all coming out now.

We get infrequent leaks about FW because they actually tell us what they're going to be releasing in good time.

That said, if they were going cross company, they wouldn't be able to spill without ruining GWs super special secret squirrel club, so its something to hope for I guess.

FW is under GW. It's not a different company.

I'd be surprised if fw tied in any releases with this, as they've already sent out 1 new release notification today - a minotaurs contemptor. Wouldn't have thought that they'd do 2 separate new release announcements in the same day

It may be down the line. You never know. Look at the majority of the Apoc-only units. Guess who produces them? That's right. Forge World.
