Here it is: the Dungeon Saga base game, all painted up.

I'll put up more photos on my personal pblog tomorrow.

I had planned to finish the bone piles and resin traps, but they won't be finished by the end of the month. I'lll try to crank those out before starting on my February goal-- the remainder of my Sedition Wars kickstarter rewards:

From over in my blog.

As promised, the two fatties to complete the first squad of zombies from black plague.

I'll get them all Strong toned tomorrow, or really late tonight.

I'll get them all in a group shot once the strong tone is done.

Edit: Nevermind, see below, I had a little time to get more done.
I call the green dressed guy the Sheriff of Rottingham . I could totally see CMoN doing an expansion with Kevin Costners Robin Hood as the basis. It could have the opposing group function going so you could have your king, sheriff and a few lackeys versus Robin hood and the gang. Special weapon would be a spoon to carve peoples eyes out .

anyway here's a quick and probably only shot of the whole zombie squad with the abomination and Necromancer. I did a fast strong tone splash on everyone, they are still drying.

Very cool Undead Dwarf, Ulf. A shame that the Rackham stuff is so tricky to get hold of nowadays.

Amazing work, Josh. I can't believe you got the whole damned thing painted up. Sedition Wars next? You're a brave man, but then again, the challenge is about making motivation, so it actually fits pretty well.

A nice pack of Zombies there, Theo. Looks like you and your kids will be doing some Medieval zombie killing in the next day or two.

Sedition Wars wasn't *THAT* bad. Barzam and I did up a set a year or two ago. It was actually kind of fun just slapping paint all over the more zombie styled Strain.

Is it bad of me to still pine for the new standalone expansion? With how CMON have really fine tuned their board games, makes me curious what a relaunch for this would look like.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Those are some neat zombies. Most of them look like they'd fit into a regiment of Mantic zombies to add some variety. I'll have to file that idea away.

I didn't find SW models too terrible to work with. I finished the base game (less the characters) shortly after it arrived. What I'm working on for February are all the add-ons.

Great job on DS Josh. Hope there are more close ups in your thread.

Im probably half way through my next nine Zombicide models though its likley they wont get finished until feb starts.

Anyway for the month of Janurary that gives me 10 Zombicide models and 1 Skirmish game model (Red Hood). Leaving me having met Jans goal.

Will post the months group shot tomorrow.

I think my Feb goal is going to be:

1 Carnifex
1 Trygon
5-10 more Confrontation/RPG models. Undead and goblins, I think.

The object of a game is to win. The *point* of a game is to have fun. Never confuse the two.

Yikes, I've not had a chance to read this thread for a week or so. Some great stuff has been posted since then, well done everyone.

I've not finished my Epirian squad yet and I don't think I will do so before the end of tomorrow so I think they'll have to carry over in to February. There's not too much to do on them just highlights and basing but I've had a busy couple of weeks and little to no hobby time. I'm not going to reveal my plans for next Month yet but they will hopefully go down well.

Anyway here's my finished Karists for this month.

Just wanted to hop in tonight to say thanks to Azazelx for starting this thread. You've done an awesome job getting everyone together and keeping the first page (which looks awesome if people haven't gone back to see it) updated. Great idea and very motivational for me. Thanks again for all the hard work you've put into this.

Thanks guys, I'm glad that it's working as a motivational took for people.

Well, I wasn't going to get the Gondor Cavalry finished, due to distractions like work, Rainbow Six and Space Marines, so I finished off a Hero model that had been a pain in the arse for a year or more instead: Forlong the Fat.

Sure, it looks nice now that it's done, but that goddamned tree is such an anti-motivator to paint. It's a combination of all of the swirls and twirls along with the need to keep it as (close to) perfectly symmetrical as possible. Anyway, like much of the Gondor army, it's not that much fun to paint, but looks nice when it's done. I still need to add the static flock once his spray varnish dries, but I'm calling him done now.

And here's the "total" shot - one unit each for Undead and Gondor. Sure, they're both pretty small, but they had both sat on the desk for months, taunting me.

Goals for next month, which I'll start on in the next few days. My Imperial Guard, mostly pictured below apart from 3 more Heavy Weapons Teams that I'm getting this week, and as many of my friends' Tyranid models as I can do. He gave me a box full of gaunts and gargoyles months ago and I haven't gotten around to doing it, so seems this challenge should give me the motivation to. There'd have to be at least a hundred models in the box, I'll get a pic tomorrow morning when I get them ready to prime.

Stretch goals for February are Goreshade the Bastard, Deathwalker and the Cryx Battlegroup for my new Warmachine army.

So it was touch and go, seem to have some pretty major computer problems that nearly brought me to tears of frustration, a shaky internet connection that had me yelling to the heavens and a puppy that is cute as they come but has a taste for power cables...... But I have managed a good chunk of Tyranids for the January part of this tale. I present to you 1 Toxicrene, 3 Venomthropes and 22 Termagants.

More photos are available (or soon to be available depending on my dodgy internet connection) over on my blog if anyone is interested.

I think I am going to aim for another 22 (or so) Termagants, a Tervigon and 3-6 Tyranid Warriors depending on how I feel.

Updated January progress photo.

Next months minis:

'Not at all Orks' by Troublemaker Games. Considering that these are 6mm they are incredibly detailed, perhaps too detailed as the they are very fragile and they are very hard to clean up as I have already broken off 3 choppas trying to remove flash.

The Truks are also very nice.

Well, the sun is not shinning, and neither are you (a general you, not a specific you) (unless you (a specific you this time) are some kind of bioluminiscent lifeform or are covered in LEDs), so no new picture, but in the other picture they were finised so:

This January I FINISHED 4 Acontecimento Regulars

EDIT: Going to paint four more regulars in February, and I have even planned the rest of the army in waves until June, after that its probably going to be the Space Chinese Magistrates' NKVD SS SMERSH Gestapo Inquisitorial Traffic Police of Doom With Guns, also known as the SCMNKVDSSSMERSHGITPoDWG and even better known as the Imperial Service of Yu Jing.

I think that they were originally designed to be plastic but there was some kind of funding issue (which is what killed Troublemaker Games AFAIK) so they ended up metal and sold by another company.

Thanks mate.

Red hood is pretty cold blooded. Has no issue with killing what so ever. The animated movie under the Red Hood is on Netflix I think.

Got my doors done. Phew. Thank god that's 30 doors total, because I don't want to paint any more of them!
Here's my January pledge - 30 minis, but only 4 of them are "alive" as everything else is furniture. Still, I think it was good to clear it all out, and now I have fully painted dungeon furniture and doors.

Next month I'm gonna do a collection of different stuff to fill in the Dungeon Journal missions, along with the Dwarf Bartender, Halfling Fighter, Blaine and Keldan.
