OK, kind of to the first, definite no to the second. Thanks to Avon creating new Command Squad and Veteran Positions you could become a tactical-squad brother, or you can stay in your predator. As for further promotions, although I am only in charge of the recruits - not the promotions - I'd have to say "wait your frickin' turn man!", basically, there's no existing positions suitable for promotion and others warrant the promotion more. Ultimately I'd suggest you stop requesting promotion as if you warrant it, it'll happen, rather than as a result of your repeatedly asking...

In that case, I would like to put in a request to be moved to a position of front line combat, also if possible I would like to maintain a special weapon of some sort, as I have proven my skill with such weapons already.
The reason most sntences are mundane is that people are whiling away time until the next battle report is posted or some news is heard, also Shiny is not mundane and mundane is fun

I wouldn't say it necessarily puts you out of the running, it's just arguably you're doing a sterling job as it is and would therefore only do worse in any future role. If you say to Avon you'd still like to be considered for promotion I'm sure he'd oblige.
I did say to Avon that you'd been doing a good job and therefore it's questionable whether you should be considered for promotion or remain where you function best, much like Brother Sergeant Tyr's dilemma. Maybe the honours you receive(d) can represent this? Maybe you could be the gunner in a future Land Raider? Just food for thought man.

I got some more personal records for the battle..... Brother Forden saw a space wolf peeking through a window and shot him in the face, while Brother Simythius shot a random wolf marine carryin a plasma gun with a krak missile... he said "ooooof!" and died while one of you tac brothers managed to ge the first wound on the Wolf Lord with yer boltgun miraclously, and I shot a bunch with my trusty storm bolter... but then they came thru the house and stormed the tac squad woundin most of yall but not before Sergeant Tyr basically falcon punched the wold lord in the face after that I called for a timely retreat as they got reinforcements... but not before we took their Irish whiskey and some rum too apperently

I can't speak for Avon's decision, but I know I recommended Brother Phobus for the position; he had repeatedly performed well and above expectations, expressed an interest (rather than demand, key difference IMHO) in becoming a standard bearer and was overall a friendly guy that was no hassle. Frankly, Phobus has out-performed you which is reason enough in my opinion. As I said though, this is my interpretation rather than Avon's decision making process, but I support his decision and i don't think your questioning it is going to help your chances.

I play when I have the chance. I have a game arranged for saturday. Me and a friend of mine will be merging our guard armies as a single army for a game against my brothers nids.
I'll tell you how it went. I will be controlling only a single platoon though... well also a Leman Russ named "Platoon". It is something I want to see fighting nids. A Punisher variant. With three heavy bolters and a stubber. 32 shots a turn if it does not move. 26 if it moves.
Just a friendly advice. Do NOT give me any coffee. Or energy drinks for that matter. The effects are... well let's just say your mental health will suffer greatly (tested on people with and without mental health).

First you will be put into the Reserve waiting list, until a new position becomes available, then eventually assigned an open position by the Master of recruits (who I believe is brother Dave)

Aye, I am. But as far as I know my job consists of managing the number of recruits and the roster of the company as a whole. Occasionally Avon' gives me an additional duty on top of this, such as with the Command Squad promotions.
I'm not in charge of who gets assigned to which squad as far as I know, or at least I haven't been told I am by ze Chapter Master.

Well I think when the time comes to take the new recruits into the squads there will be 10 places vacant. 5 men got into the command squad so freed up 5 spots and 5 will be going into the vanguard veterans so another 5 spots free.

Available vacancies are probably gonna be in the Tactical squads and Vanguard squads...
Though some may be promoted into the Vanguard squad from another position so you'll take the spare positions...

Well I have information regarding the squad promotions. I shall post up information later - probably within the hour...
I'll ask again however; any new recruits have any preference as to where they go? Predator Storm Bolter Operator is available, as is Predator Driver (although driver is unlikely to get kills). A wealth of tactical squad positions are also available, if you have a preference (including wielding a special weapon) say so.
Also, any current Battle Brothers wish to be promoted to Vanguard Veteran Status?
Finally, Brother Tyr, do you wish to stay as a Tactical Sergeant or be 'promoted' to Vanguard?

- If anyone is unhappy with their newly assigned positions, just say so and you will be reassigned to your original squad; it's no hassle so say so if you do wish to return.

My Rocket launcher fires trampolines... I shoot it at people and they all jump backwards but they fail to jump again :( Then they stop playing and don't jump any more... or stand up... no fun :(

It's actually the reason the Purplefood codex is OP.
You only get 1 unit choice and it's just me with a plasma gun. I cost all of the point limit no matter how much it is.
The rest of the codex is just fluff about how awesome i am...
