Another battle of not killing anyone. Me sad

I played my first game with SM last weekend against my friend's Tau, it went great. I was using my friend's dad's Blood Angels. Destroyed a few people then took aim at the battlesuit, wounded it with a Lascannon, and though it shouldn't have lived as it says in the rules, my friend didn't know of that rule and destroyed my Land Raider. But I won, with a 7 man Tac squad, full Tac. Squad, Captain and Apothecary left. So it was a good win

Ever played last man standing games? The battle ends after one side does not have anything left on the field. My personal favorite was when I played a game like that with my marines against my friends guard. On the last turn my friend has only two leman russes left. One immobilized and the other had it's battlecannon destroyed. I had the techmarine gunner from my thunderfire cannon and a scout biker sergeant. Blew up both russes in the assault phase.

The game we played was like that, it came down to the 2 tac. squads, the Captain and his Apothecary, against 7 BS 2 drones

My 7 man Loganwing versus a platoon of guard.
Ended with Logan Grimnar hacking apart several squads of guard infantry before they got the message and legged it.

I managed to make that happen. Killed a full infantry squad with my assault terminators. Only the attached Lord Comissar survived... and fled. I had also just destroyed two russes (with one man in two turns), two squads of his veterans failed their morale checks and dropped his vendetta and the explosion killed 5 stormtroopers. At that point my opponent surrendered.

I realized that I haven't done any awards so here I go:

Brother Captain Sam gets........the stuff award - awarded for heroically for killing stuff

Brother Simythius gets.........a Tau rail gun turret - awarded for taking out a rail gun turret

Brother Amanax gets..........Gunner of the past long while since the last time I said so - award for killing the Broadside suit

Brother Sergeant Humps gets........Persistence award - awarded for keep going after the Hell's Bane been stunned and shaken but refused to have his crew do nuthing

Another for the shelf to add to the marksmanship award

Yes, and twice I've had epic moments. The first time, I was playing Eldar vs my friends space wolves. My entire army had been completely devestated, and the only thing I had left was Eldrad, he had two of his Long Fang squads left.

I kid you not, Eldrad ran up the field with his re-rollable 3+ invulnerable save and not taking a single wound, and killed both squads (Only wound he took was from a perils of the warp... go figure given how much protection he actually has from it)



The second time I did it, my friend was trying out my Eldar, and he thought it would be fun to try fielding 1400+ points of jetbiked seer councils... I had been running my Black Templar Helbrecht Command Squad deathstar. He blew up my land raider, and in shooting I lost my apothecary due to stupid wound allocation. He charged my unit with both squads, feel no pain gone from my units. He slaughtered everything but Helbrecht, my Chaplain, and my banner bearer. They held their ground, slowly dying off. MY banner bearer fell in the following combat, my chaplain falling on the round after that. My Emperor's champion and his squad charging in to attempt to assist my chapter master, and died after a single round, but still Helbrecht held. Three and a half full game turns, he took those armor saves and passed, even making his bionic saves a few times when he did fail. It was truly epic...

That sounds like a fun game.

I know it sounds odd, but try getting it a little late, and using the TINIEST amount of toothpaste. Make sure you spread it around, focusing on the areas that need to be cleaned the most. Rinse it off, then, using a microfibre cloth or something of similar quality, dry it off.

It's the second best thing I've found to work besides using a buffer.

I've used that in the past... NEVER USE PAPER TOWELS.

For the first battle (which was against Tau) I took everyone here's how it went:

Brother Captain Sam killed a Stealth suit squadron

Tactical Squad Death to Xeno's killed a fire warrior squad

Tactical Squad Hellfire took out a couple of broadsides

The Hell's Bane took out a few firewarriors drones and stuff

the Attack with no name did nuthing but drove around

and that's it for that battle.


For the battle against some Imperial Guardsmen:

we sortoff called a tactical retreat as we were well outnumbered, outgunned, and had no whiskey so we killed:

The Command squadthanks to Captain Sam

The main guns off of some Leman Russ tanks thanks to Brother Amanax

A troop squad because of Tac Squad Hellfire

Half of a troop squad thanks to Tac Squad Death to Xeno's

after that we left the battle to do some whiskey/rum raiding of which we were successful(hooray ) and they had 2 squads of Leman Russ tanks

so you think it's safe for me to keep my helmet off? because it is really stuffy in there.

I'm a sniper in two Imperial Guard Roleplay forums on here already. Do you think you would be albe to customize one of the snipers to be me? because that would be fun and it means I wouldn't have to wear this heavy suit of full power armour ^^

Just a suggestion on what to get next, Avon: Assault squad or Assault termies if you want to even up close combat and range. If you want to do range, go normal Land Raider, if you wish (call me crazy, if you want)

Well the marines that are in the reserve company will have the option if they want to be in the scout squad(as that will probably the only spot open for a bit unless shanigens happen) plus I will choose one among them to be the Sergeant of the squad so there.

Sister Valence, as a custom we generally break out the Rum and Whiskey every day, and hold almost weekly raiding parties to get it (from the SW IIRC)

The fact is that 75% of my friends are girls and we even have girls nights (yes I count as a girl for those purposes). In my opinnion it is a bit more easy to talk with a girl because guys are usually a little... limited in that aspect. And before anyone asks: yes, some people think I like boys but my girlfriend thinks otherwise. (I also apologize for any generalisations and possibly offending someone)
