Just started up Infinity pretty recently and have been learning with the Corregidor starter set plus a couple other purchases. Not sure what I'm going to do with the bases yet though.
Worked some more on the Yu Jing minis finished painting a Daofei and started work on a Hsien, Posted some pictures of the the finished miniature and some w.i.p pictures here
That was my first go with secret weapon crushed glass. On the test base it came out ok but there too much mud is still showing and its absorbed some of the color on the other side so I think i'll give it a couple of days and throw on another layer.
Oooh this is a good thread to have subbed. I've only painted one Infinity mini so far, so I won't have my blog added to the list. Once I get more done I'll have it added and link to specific posts involving Infinity progress.

I think he's at a "good enough" place for Infinity, he looks better than a lot of my other skirmish/army infantry, but well behind the studio minis and most of you talented/driven Infinity painters
The mod looks a bit better than 'good enough' i'd say. I think all nomads should be made to wear pink shoes! And how did you find gluing it to the clear acrylic base, no problems with frosting?
Thanks guys, I swear it's the model, he just wanted to look better than my other guys I didn't do much differently for him.
@Pacific just waiting for my replacement Teflon washer to come in and I should have a bunch of terrain knocked out on the quick, then I'll be doing nothing but posing and shooting
@BB I read up on clear acrylics before I ordered them, and took Litko's suggested products (where I ordered the bases). I use craftics #33 acrylic cement for hard plastic and restic figures (it works kind of like plastic cement for restic too which can be handy) which does not frost (though it's really foul and goopy and dries to unusability within literally 10-15 seconds). For the metal moderator I used a 2 part resin epoxy, a 5 minute dry or quick dry or whatever it's called. It's clear too and probably one of the stronger/more durable bond types you can get since it's got a tiny bit of elasticity (supposedly). I'm not sure how some of the really skinny feet or single foot on the ground dynamic poses are going to work, if I have to pin anything I'll come back with my results. Anything that doesn't balance on it's own will require special attention until the epoxy sets, then after the cure time it should be rock solid too.
He looks good! Definitely looks like an Infinity mini, something to do with the colors.
Slowly removing models from my paint queue, I'll get to my Reverend Moira from the Bakunin starter sooner or later. Still trying to decide if I want to give her some more tasteful spandex (or whatever they wear in the future!) or just paint her with the butt hanging out as intended. Definitely going for a full on Dracula style cloak too.
Crankin' away at my Yu Jing. And I snapped some pictures of my buddy's WIP stuff as well. It'll be more impressive once CB sends him the missing parts for his Dragoe.
Hi there! Here´s some new stuff. The Hyperpower...
The Bolts got me back to PanO and I repainted some of my older stuff. I love the new NCA stuff and will build up a Aux- and Devabot heavy list with a lot of flamers and Hexas, Swiss Guards and Aqulias...
The yellow looks excellent. It is that -just right- tone where it is a rich, nice color without turning into eyebleed yellow. And it accents with the teal nicely.
I know nothing of this Ariadna of which you speak, but the Metro looks pretty snazzy.
Hopefully I'll be back sooner than later to bid you all to view my Nomads, I finally got most of them assembled so hopefully I'll have a few painted for you soon.
Hey there. Nice stuff in here.
I've got a good bunch of Infinity in my plog here on Dakka as well. Mostly Ariadna but a little bit of other factions as well.
Well the base trim is not completely white. Only the front arc. You can see it better on the two pictures below.
Yes, the Ariadna symbol is a freehand and marks the front of the view arc. I will do something similar for Yu Jing / JSA as well. Just haven't decided on the details, yet.
Just a few minutes ago I updated the basing for Yuriko Oda.
And if Casey is reading this, I'd like to have my thread moved to the Haqqislam section if possible. I only painted the YJ starterset + tigers to get me learning the game, and because I liked those models. I will update this blog with Haqqislam from now on probably, so that's why
So I've made an update to my log. Not much for Infinity at the moment, a WIP shot of my AP rifle Jannisary, and a better base for Tarik. That piddly little rock he comes with just wa not manly enough for Mr Beefcake McMantag.
-Loki- wrote: So I've made an update to my log. Not much for Infinity at the moment, a WIP shot of my AP rifle Jannisary, and a better base for Tarik. That piddly little rock he comes with just wa not manly enough for Mr Beefcake McMantag.
Amentothat.
Glad to see an update! And for Tarik of all models! He's quite the badass.
Alright, so I managed to paint up some more Infinity after a bit of a Hiatus from it. Finished up the Aquila Guard with HMG and started some of the Order Sargents.
It's small enough that it really doesn't NEED the master arms - and this model (and his brother) aren't gaming pieces ( I don't play the army that lets you take them) - I just bought them because I wanted the models on the shelf.
The arms get in the way of the mech arms anyway. It's hard enough to fit them on and the slave arms on the mk12 model, so I left them off.
The TAG pilot was a real conundrum. I liked the little TAG seat it came with, but figuring out how to make it work on a desert base to fit my Haqqislam just wasn't working. It wasn't until I made Tariks more manly rock base out of cork that I gave it a go replacing the seat with a rock formation.
With the Jannisary, it wasn't the next on my list. I was going to take another stab at the Barid (it had to be stripped), but in a recent game it pulled off some pretty remarkable feats, holding the line with my rifle Muyib against an Asura and a couple of Myrmidons. It deserved to be painted after that.
If you're using the pilot, that means the maghariba guard is incoming? Btw I just noticed you applied the device from the ghulam doc to the model itself ^^ I was thinking of doing that myself, it looks okay I think.
Not a fan of that Jannisary model, but you've used the same colours as those from the leather on the rest of your models, and it does look good on the armor parts
Everything is being done in those colours. Basically, armour is always the green parts. Fabric is the sandy parts. However, since the Jannisary has no fabric, I followed how I did my Nasmats, with armour trims as the sandy parts.
And yeah, I liked the medkit bit, so I basically positioned it so it looked like it was on the doctors belt.

Looks good Daba! I like the colors for the helm's visor, and the strategic use of green here and there. Should snag some more shots!
Disclaimer, not MY stuff I'm about to post. One of my buddies who lurks here (but I don't think he has an account) finished up a bunch of his PanO, so I figured I'd post the group shot for him. I have a few of his other things in my plog. Haven't uploaded the Fusiliers yet, they were being fuzzy when photographed.
I like the red/orange on the Dragoe. Looks like demo colors or something used in promotional material. I could totally see one painted up like that being used in a commercial.
I'll try and get some better shots. I don't know what is up with the camera on my phone. Something about the distance or whatever. I snapped some pics of my Gear I painted up last night and it looks awesome... so maybe it is just how I'm positioning stuff.
I'm not sure how much I like the idea of running them as a link team, but the box of 4 has pretty neat poses, and this one was relatively fun to paint. Maybe some day.
I'm up to 14 painted models. I'm ramping up my pace because I've given myself a limitation if only buying the amount of models I paint, so my backlog at least doesn't grow. One more to go and I can add the new Ghazi to my collection.

Yeah, that was going to be my other suggestion. I know they do them in acrylic now, but they did at one time do them in mdf.

They still do them in MDF. They just had a sale due to, I'm assuming, excess stock. That's when I picked mine up.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Goal acheived! 4 models painted. I am now allowed to buy the new Ghazi.
I'm fairly happy with this one. He came out pretty much the same as my other Muyibs which is all I wanted.
I 'love' it when i find errors only during the review of the photos...
Looks good to me man!
Is that a 3mm clear acrylic with his unit icon stuck underneath it? That is interesting... i may have to look into something like that in the future, might be useful in-game somehow.

You're right on on the base I have 3mm Clear Acrylics from Litko in 25mm, 40mm, and 55mm. Koni was nice enough to pass me all the Combined Army Unit logos so I size them appropriately in Photoshop before adding them to a 4" x 6" image and printing them up on photo paper. I have to use the glue E6000 to clue the photo to the base or the photo will fade/haze/blur.
As soon as I get my airbrush back together I am going to be doing the Raicho next, my only dilemma is if I want to free hand his unit logo on his shoulder or do the MAF logo.
Litko makes 55mms now!? Kick ass! I just wonder if they're in the 1.5mm thickness like the rest of my bases or not.. hell it's a bigger model it can float a little higher if need be. Gonna have to go look those up now.
I'm not sure if the paper under the base is quite for me, i like it on your guy of course. I'm thinking it may be a cool place to put counters/tokens for status, especially to clean things up during battle reports, neat technique I'mma steals. Do you have a blog for which i may peruse other things to steal?
That used to be penny? I just thought it was one of the aragotos... but that's the ninja head isn't it... we'll it's killer regardless!

Thanks for the info! Site is being slow for me today so that helps me plan for the future, also, looking forward to seeing more!
Looks like 55mm x 1.5mm circular clear acrylic bases weigh in at a buck apiece if you buy the minimum of ten... ten should do for awhile.. probably. Will have to find some other stuff to order!
This one gave me particular problems. For one, the spider veins on the legs. I just can't paint them. They're wonky. Second was the hair. I really wanted to practice my Symbiont Armour technique on something like this, and I think the orange came out really nicely. But It also came out too bright for this model. I decided to keep it, as a model to stand with my Hawwa Snipers bright pink hair.
Also because I have so many models to paint I didn't want to get hung up on some small details, especially on a model that will spend its life as a token 90% of the time, and when it finally hits the table it'll go down in flames.
Thanks I used this tutorial as a base for the pattern. the colours i used was first a base of vmc german field grey which I then shaded and highlighted before moving on to the next layer which was some vmc ivory and khaki, last layer was some black splotches. I then applied a mix of german field grey and the dark purple I used to shade the first layer with as a glaze to tie the layers together.
Sangarn, your conversions are far and away the best that I have seen for Infinity to date. Way to up the ante and go far beyond the out-of--the-box armies that most Infinity players field.
Nuclear Messiah, looking good! You've convinced me to actually use metallic paints on CB figs, which I had been resisting until now. Apparently the secret is airbrush?

Airbrush or using the airbrush metallic and brushing them on. They are thinned down enough they work out well.
I admit i've been hesitant to use proper metallics on my infinity minis so far, except for little bits and bobs like buckles and gun barrels. Looks good on your guys though.
Savnock wrote: Yeah, Morats seem to be the right place for metallics. Maybe some colored metallics on the EI units too. Okay, I'm convinced!
I have a deep blue metallic paint, perhaps I should get a red metallic and do up some purple for EL units Haven't deiced how I will go about on the Shav. But I am thinking of sticking with my Steel color that I wash down to look grimy for all my CA units.
Wow that blues real cool on the fiday, pretty different to the common earthy tones they have but I approve. Plus just noticed I can change the color of my text, which pretty much makes me a mod right? Let's all be mods.
Yep, though I"ve had them for months. Don't think I won't be stealing your 'paper underneath them' idea for something though Maybe counters.
Another thing I've noticed about my clear bases... people seem to think superglue clouds them? I haven't been having that happen. The last few models I put to bases I've used superglue, and to no issue. Just careful with it.
Yeah, for what you do it could be an issue. I just noticed it worked for for me, and the epoxy stuff is kind of troublesome to hold in place for 5 minutes on a model that isn't balanced.
I've got a couple of my Combined Army to post tonight. You can zoom in on them in the gallery. There's a lot more detail to be seen up close, like the lights on both figures and the markings on the TAG.
Nope, it's actually just Vallejo's fluo paint. Put a dab of white paint wherever you want the light, then put the fluo over it and you get a very nice glowing effect.
Barzam wrote: Nope, it's actually just Vallejo's fluo paint. Put a dab of white paint wherever you want the light, then put the fluo over it and you get a very nice glowing effect.
So I bought all 5 variants of the Vallejo Fluorescent paints they are about $3 a bottle at thewarstore. I look forwards to some of the cool things they can do.
Wow in for a penny, in for a pound Nuclear Messiah! Look forward to seeing what kind of results you get with them (might well consider it for my own CA to help give a more 'alien' look)
@Barzam - Ah I was only kidding, just used to you using some fantastic diorama-type backgrounds for your pics!
I've updated my blog for the first time in 4 months with the first pics of my QP Mercenary force. Someone please add a comment as the poor Haqqislam guy got buried under a page of Space Marines within 30 minutes!
Got this one finished and was able to quickly take some pictures before it began to rain again, perfect weather for staying in and painting.. I mean studying all day (a)
Far from being a browncoat, but it does still fit my theme so it's okay:
That is an interesting scheme for a Kaplan, though I think you've done a good job of pulling it off. Looks like a pretty neat force you've got growing with those two.
I like the base, looks ilke you're inverting a second base on top of the first and filling it with material to make the street? Cool idea. I also quite like the soda can
Model itself is nice too, I dunno what his job/specialization is, but he looks fairly stealthy like that. I like the colors in general, the wood look for the lower tech haqq gun especially.
GrimDork wrote: Model itself is nice too, I dunno what his job/specialization is, but he looks fairly stealthy like that. I like the colors in general, the wood look for the lower tech haqq gun especially.
He's the complete opposite of sneaky. The Azra'il are heavy infantry that carry heavy weaponry. That model has an AP rifle, Light Flamethrower and a Panzerfaust. A real toolkit unit.
Ahh, forgive my ignorance, I don't think he's available to QK, or at least I haven't looked into one. Regardless, he still looks fairly low-key despite the gear and servo muscle bits, which is always a battlefield asset when people are liable to start shooting you
That's more the paint job. They wear old pattern powered armour due to the menacing look - particularly to draw fire and be scary.
They're definitely in QK as well. One of Haqqislams 'hidden' gems, in that people generally don't seriously look them over until they see one wreck up the place in a game.
Oh cool, then I'll have to check them out, though he'll have to talk my new Mobile Brigada into sitting out or sharing the spot-light (though the Azra'il's kit looks better anyway, it's just that I have a brigada :p).
Looks good. Nice mini, they just don't have the bulk that they probably should given their description. I'm looking forward to some of the Haqq HI getting the update treatment. Even though it's not their 'thing' they still have some of my favourite HI designs.
But...we're talking about the Azra'il. Not sure what the problem is!
I'm a bit nervous that the new Jan render is going to make the ap-rifle mini look like a skinny teen by comparison.
OT, I think I finally have my colour scheme sorted out, so look out for a blog update in 2-3 years!
plastictrees wrote: I'm looking forward to some of the Haqq HI getting the update treatment.
This? you did post it, afterall. I thought you meant redesigns of other HI, since a redesign of just the Azra'il wouldn't be 'some' of the designs, it would be 'one' of the designs.

it makes the original AP rifle who was cradling the AP rifle look skinny. It doesn't make the AP rifle in the starter who is one handing the AP rifle look skinny, since it's the same design. Maybe small differences here and there due to being a new sculpt, but it's not a redesign. It's to go alongside it and replace the older HMG Jannisary (which was done to go alongside the old AP rifle model cradling the AP rifle).
Yes the current Janissary is pretty big as far as any Infinity miniature goes, I'm just painting up the one with the rifle at the moment. Judging from the one that was in the starter set (and I think is definitely a bit thinner? I don't have the actual miniature but it appears that way) I would expect the new one to be a little bit less bulky.
plastictrees wrote: I'm looking forward to some of the Haqq HI getting the update treatment.

Absolutely, a re-sculpt doesn't inherently mean that a mini is getting bulkier. I don't even think that ground up redesigns are necessary per se, but I'm assuming that a model like the Ahl Fassad is on the list (albeit low on the list) for an update rather than just having a matching HMG toter sculpted.
Damn, all of the stuff that's been posted lately is looking good. I've been meaning to post in here, but by the time I get home from work, I've completely forgotten about it.
Speaking of the Janissary, I really don't like the new design for the Janissary. I like it for an Ahl Fassed though. I much preferred the old Janissary scuplt. I think it fit the fluff a lot better. I'm still of the opinion that the "new" rifle Janissary was originally meant to be a male rifle Ahl Fassed and CB just said "eh, nobody plays Ahl Fassed, let's just make him a Janissary instead."
Love the lighting effect on the metal, please give a quick run-down of how you did that.. !
yeah it is fairly simple. How I did it was I used my airbrush (you can use a brush) and did the light source in a bright green, after I did my wash I took green florescent paint and started dry brushing it from the source. The Flou paint even though it look like a thick paste is semi translucent and shows up best on light colors. So over the green light it brightens my greens and over the surrounding area it just adds a green hue. His right leg and cod piece I did not add white to the center, but his right arm I did along with all the other sources. I still need to get a good process down, but overall I am happy with my first attempt.
I'm gonna have to try these Vallejo Fluo paints, between NM and Barzam I am fully convinced of their utility! And just in time to put evil glowy alien lights on my recently ordered Shasvastii advanced forces.
GrimDork wrote: I'm gonna have to try these Vallejo Fluo paints, between NM and Barzam I am fully convinced of their utility! And just in time to put evil glowy alien lights on my recently ordered Shasvastii advanced forces.
They are certainty useful for any lighting effects and I look forwards to using them more on the rest of the units in the CA. On my Ikadrons I want to do a white base on his fiber musculature do a red flou brush deep in the crevasse and do a black dry brush on the upper portions to give a deep down underglow. It is going to be a bit challenging cause the Flou paint is really thick and I don't want to paste it on.
Pacific wrote: WHAT a conversion Sangarn. That definitely looks better than the original stock miniature.
Can I ask what bit you used for it (I'm guessing from that Nomad pack?)
Thx for your comment
Maybe a little late for the answer but here we go:
with the nomad bootleg mini i've used the left arm of the combi bolt girl and miranda right arm
the nomad backpack is from the tomcat box
The jump-pack bit is in my bitzbox and itching to be used (since it seems silly to leave the fans on the zondcat when the TOmcats apparently ditch theirs upon landing). I'm going to copycat that build a bit if you don't mind Sangarn.
Nice work on the anaconda. Really looks good. I just can't get past the human arms sticking out of the chest on the TAGs though. Reminds me Quato from Total Recall.
Red_Starrise wrote: Nice work on the anaconda. Really looks good. I just can't get past the human arms sticking out of the chest on the TAGs though. Reminds me Quato from Total Recall.
Haha!
Yes I know exactly what you mean, but yes as Musashi363 says its something common to robot design in a lot of Manga (Appleseed and the like, where a lot of the landmates have that kind of design)
If you zoom in really far he looks grainy, I think it's the undercoat or maybe an effect the dip is having on the camera... I can't tell. You can't see it in person, or at least I can't.
I really like how the dip blended my various greens more smoothly than I would have, and you can still see the pink! The purple spots.. I need to improve my technique, but should they only be on the pink/green skin, or should I try some on the thicker armor-like bits as well?
I need to go back over the seed-plug things with some more fluo yellow. Not sure if I'm gonna seal him, kind of like the gloss. Maybe I'll put some matte down by hand on the darkest green armor spots, but these guys do erupt from seeds at the beginning of the game so... slimy seems appropriate no?
Thanks . I'm starting to think is to he undercoat... krylon white primer instead of regular white... too bad I used he whole can... its not noticeable in person but it will show up in photo shoots apparently.
Now to paint his brothers and develop some seed pods.
I've been on a bit of an Infinity hiatus while I paint some Malifaux stuff for a change of pace. There's light at the end of that tunnel though (primarily due to there being significantly less to do due to less models) so I should get some more Infinity done. My 5th Muyib is washed and ready to be relayered, so it shouldn't be too long.
I'm going to have to get an Al'Hawwa sniper at some point. She's a nice looking mini.
Musashi, your Anaconda is looking good. Where'd the rifle come from?
Grimdork, your Shasvastii looks really good. Green and pink, can't say I've seen that scheme for them before. The green parts are meant to be the rigid armor right? You painted him to be wearing a helmet?
Thanks. Yeah the skin is pink with green stripes/blotches and a few patterns of purple spots, thicker but still flexible bits are medium green, and rigid plates are darker green. The face looks like a mask to me. The gwailos has one too. The asuang has a face, so does the speculo killer and the malignos I think.
Bases are clear acrylic, so aside from popping him off and gluing him back down, this is done.
So not only do I love the scheme (even though it isn't rife with crazy blending, highlights, osl, and other things indicative of standard infinity paint work), but it's pretty quick. Got this guy done while watching my daughter after work today.
He's freshly dipped there, need to let him cure then touch up his grisly snack/trophy with some BftBG, and go back over several items with fluo yellow. But I'll do that when I have a queue of several.
These are going quick, I'll stop bugging you guys here and come back when I've got the whole brood maybe.
Looks very cool Grimdork, suitably organic/yukky looking paint scheme, and interested to see what he will look like with the fluo yellow bits added.
Have added something a bit different for my blog, a local security forces miniature. This is to represent the armed response teams in Acontencimento - I'm currently finishing up writing some rules for Infinity warfare in populated areas, which involve a third player and local security forces. Hopefully will get them posted here on Dakka soon once they have been playtested.
Oooh please do, may bleed a little into AI territory? I really want to develop some cloak 'n dagger missions with patroling guards that only ARO while you take a specialist (or small team) with a slightly buffed order pool and try to achieve an objective sneaky wise Bakunin and Shasvastii have me feeling all sneaky
She's got a good scheme, looks like she's trying to project "good guy" and law enforcement at the same time which is cool. A suitably beefy gun and can either be considered as barking jargon and commands into her communicator, or biting her finger in distress
Those look really cool Duce, I like the colour scheme - you don't seem to see that colour for Pan O often, but it looks like it works well.
Now you need to take some better photos of them!
Grimdork wrote:Oooh please do, may bleed a little into AI territory? That sounds like a really good idea!
For now they are going to be quite straightforward 'gamesmaster' style rules, with a 3rd player taking control of both civilians and security forces in a neutral phase. There is a 'GTA'-style 'threat' tracker which operates similarly to the stars system in that game. Starts off with local rent-a-cops and traffic police, but as both players start killing civilians and blowing things up, the tracker increases and you will get armoured response teams, TAGs etc eventually..
Just putting final touches to it now, will post on Dakka and hopefully a downloadable document from Scribd or some such like as well.
That may indeed be the first green iguana tag, the regular kind are usually green The hacker looks good, I can see why you like the sculpt, I think he keeps pace well enough with the new guys.
The purple is based on a ~50/50 mix of Vallejo Model Color "Royal Purple" and "Sunset Red".
Shadows are pure purple (step 1) and purple + black (step 2).
For the brighter parts I added more "Sunset Red" up to the almost pure color.
I promised I'd lay off till I had some more done, so here's my latest 3 Shasvastii additions, and a group shot of the 7 I've got done so far:
One of these days I'll get a professional lightbox, but right now it's more fun buying and painting minis so the sun will have to do. Just two more Shasvastii and I'll be looking towards Icestorm.
So, after a brief hiatus from painting Infinity to get some Malifaux done, I got back to the Hassassins and finished my last Muyib.
Muyib with DEP (still needs to be dullcoted and get grass tufts)
Muyib link team (my first completed link!)
All of the Hassassin badasses together
The most amazing thing about that final picture for me is that about 4 months ago the only finished models there were the Spitfire and Rifle Muyibs. That's a lot of finished models (there's others too like the Sekban and Malifaux stuff I've done) for me to get done.
Muyibs are looking good, Loki! I got mine done and love the models.
had a good paint session with my buddies last night. Infinity, D&D and Bolt Action were being painted. I'm pretty darn close to being done with my Haqq. Must get pics done!
As soon as I find the spiffy bases I bought for them (and promptly set aside) about 6 months ago.
To be fair, mine won't get any closer than that individual shot of the Muyib. I try to make my stuff look good from a few feet away. Once I get close in macro mode, my stuff looks even worse than it does now. I'm not a detail painter.
Barzam wrote: I don't know how you guys do that blending on such a small surface!
I would say it takes 4 ingredients:
1) Well thinned paints. Sometimes it's even a matter creating glazes to put a faint of a different color on a surface.
2) A good brush tip. And brushes don't always have to be extraordinary expensive to fullfill this. I painted the Asura with a brush for about 3 Euros.
3) Somewhat steady hands. Or a good technique to get them steady (e.g. resting hand with the brush on the hand holding the model).
4) Patience.
Good eyes can't hurt either but I wouldn't call mine overly good.
Sometimes (after a long working day for example) I switch to my reading glasses.
I also tried working with a lense but it does not work for me. Messes with my hand-eye coordination.
Little hard to see in that light but they look pretty good as far as I can tell. I like the colors.
Looks better on my monitor over phone, I still say the colors look good Nice and dark. Well, comparatively, the darker side of Pan-O.
And then four more photos from me and I'll leave you guys alone for awhile:
Malignos Sniper activating his camo.
Shrouded sniper, apparently he is both very flexible and a bad person to approach from behind!
Since I'm done buying more models this year, I won't be doing any more Shasvastii unless some show up as a gift around the holidays, so here's the lot in a group pose:
Gonna switch gears and do some Mars Attacks! stuff before turning towards Icestorm, and there may be some Deadzone wave 2 stuff going on before that... so here's all of my Infinity minis to date, plus Priss the Knight Saber (who will likely stand in as a Zondbot).
Here is my first model from the MRRF Starter the Zouaves, he is alright had a bit of an issue when I matte coated him the varnish ate off some of the ink. And it appears I scrapped off some paint on his boot, have to go fix that now.
Regards the bases, just do it, I ordered some 55mm last Friday direct from MAS and they already here, and matching my specifications as to which ones I wanted precisely. Top service.
Great Wildcats, ckig, really nice contrasting scheme.
Thanks the female one and the one with his gun up fit pretty well. But there was quite a gap on the one with his gun down between the shoulder and his left arm. So I guess it wasn't just my one.
Haven't had much trouble with my other infinity stuff though. Most seem to fit together pretty well.
I had some trouble with a couple of my Shasvastii, but more so because I reposed them a little bit. I know post people will use greenstuff but I'm lazy and usually end up stuffing a little blue tack into the offensive joins. You can moderately shape and texture it in a pinch, and superglue makes it pretty sturdy unless you go around poking it with something.

Yeah the female was fine. The guy with the gun up wasn't too bad but yeah the one with the gun down has some huge gaps in the shoulders.
Nice! I like the dark scheme, still a lot of variation in tone though. They looked flat black for a second before I focused my eyes on them, there's a lot going on. The pandas are really nice and clean and the eyes you've done give them a lot of character.
Thank you very much White basecoat, undercoat GW Hawk Turquoise, black ink wash a couple of times and then just layered back up. You can see it clearly on the nose of the first photo where I've missed a bit of layering, just murky blue really. Bit of a cop out compared to all the wonderful blending on here, I just flat colour and call it a good 'un
Okay, some bad phone camera photos, but 3rd old rifle Ghulam done. I didn't spend much time on her, it's an old, dated model that I wanted painted simply for completion sake.
Here's all of the old Ghulam hanging out.
I also have the old hacker, and I have an urge to buy the old HMG (a store near me still has a few) just so I have all of the oldies. Once all painted, I'll start grabbing the new Ghulam. That way when I play SpamIslam, I'll have two distinct groups of Ghulam to differentiate combat groups.
