MineFactory Reloaded adds Blackstone, which is craftable with an Ink Sac surrounded by the stone of your choice.
I'm in the process of finding some screenshots for you.
From left to right: Smooth, Cobble, Large Brick, Small Brick, Gravel, and Paved. Crafted each with a different stone block around an Ink Sac.
Before the server is generated: I claim the closest large lake to spawn, or scorched area that has a canyon in it, to be filled with blood and the great meat tower to be erected.

Not sure if intentional or not- but always hilarious.
4, to say that the red tower was an eye sore, is plain out pathetic, it was one of the best pieces of MC art id seen and I consider my self honoured to have both seen it and worked on it!
1: I didn't say I didn't like it, only that I didn't want to be nearby. I don't want that Flux problem again. And don't say there wasn't one, because there was- I remember it distinctly.
2: If you recall, you built it within four hundred blocks of my own home, and when the other inhabitant of my home requested that you obtain my blessing to build there, you just built anyway.
3: Then you denied that the massive flux problems in the area were anything to do with you. Well, they certainly weren't me. I have almost no interest in that train-wreck of a mod called Thaumcraft.
I didn't say it was an eyesore, but a red-brick tower two floors high, surrounded by dirt scaffolding, is not a piece of Minecraft art. Art is a matter of opinion, and in my own opinion, that was not it.
Sorry to Anvildude if my comment seemed childish. It was only really meant in jest.
Hey guys I will not be back till my internet is fixed. If any of you did actually miss me I vote BoP. So Could someone list some Biomes that are going for those who are ignorant of what is happening.
Unforunately I will not be on for another week. Are we going to have a starting area? Or will that be a no? (please don't decrease the efficency of the Minium stone please It becomes worse overtime when you use it as a crafting table.)

In the interest of keeping the thread clean, we will have to agree to disagree. I could explain exactly why it isn't a good mod in my eyes, but I doubt the other users of this thread would be appreciative.

My bad, sry I meant it as a joke, I was planning on removing it as soon as someone said anything anyway. Lesson learnt for me, it will not happen again.

Totally awesome, and looks like an arena on the minimap. Next picture should be of Darkinnit standing in the middle shouting, "Are you not entertained!?"

Sad face.... But me have no access to webpage. Me using ipod touch.
Just saw the skylands and jadecliffs. I want my house ontop of a jadecliff Or in one. Would be a fun one to build. A town on one and around it. Cliff City.
Looked up the jade cliffs, was hoping it'd be a turquoise version of reddy/orange canyon that the 1st mages tower was in but it's just a boring old forest :(

No the jade cliffs are on coastlines and really beautiful. Check out all the other ones.

I didn't see that thank you for the clarity of mind.
Grundz wrote: lemme know if you want some help building a powerplant that you dont have to fix all the time
The main problem with the previous spawn was that I had it set up so that when power was running out you had to supply dirt to get it going again. Trouble was, hardly anyone provided dirt, they just used the machines and in some cases directly stole power. When it did run out of power, people didn't report it because they knew they hadn't been supplying dirt.
So this time I'm not going to bother trying to encourage people to keep the power going themselves. If you use it too much, it'll run out, but will recharge on its own.
Have any of you guys ever tried to automate Potion Brewing? I'm looking into a couple of systems I've planned out, and potion creation would make some of them easier. I had one idea with the wither and an awful lot of Healing potions...

that wouldn't be an issue if I had some sort of use for hundreds of potions

All I heard was "blah blah blah blah fill it with lava grundz that'll teach em"
Mhuhaha, new spawn does not use lava for power at all. Will still need some for the smeltery though, so spawn won't be a lava free zone, let's not get too silly now.
I say we pump lava into every free spot in the map. Then we build a collection of obsidian stilted structures and charge extortionate rent to the plebs in order to fund our gigantic warmachines which we take it in turns to fire at each other.,

that actually sound slike a cool idea, having large lava lakes and having large warmachines to destroy the rest for dominance! dark, how about adding that as a world a PvP machine battle built age with lava floor, or other deadly liquid
Also, apparently the original Buildcraft Autocrafting table exists under a different name. The assembly table doesn't work as a conventional crafting table, though.
yeah like that 4, but with peoples large mechs/battle ships battling and firing nukes, TNT and other strong weapons at each other! please dark, please!
@The Dark Apostle- why ask Darkinnit to make it? Be the change you wish to see, as my computing teacher used to say. Lava can be obtained near-infinitely with not much effort, and you could just place cobble scaffolds until you've filled an area. Hell, if you were to finish a large enough arena like that, I would be impressed.
although I wonder how many people would actually make use of it. I wouldn't want to put time into things that other players are just going to detonate.
What death pit? The one in vanilla MC? If you look at it and don't listen to wyrms claims you'll find it's not (and never was) a death pit and is a stairs leading underground that too large to miss and excitement to the next level causing you to lose 3 hearts without any armour.

The hell is wrong with you?
I'm not talking about ships!
I'm talking about entire mansions/castles/cities raised above the molten surface like stilted houses! Each shelter has its own laws and culture but all venerate The Gun. The Gun is what allows them to strike back against the agressors who boiled the Earth and forced them into their lofty hiding places.

I did look at it and I told you to cover it up. You said you would. Cover it up. Final warning.
Minefactory Reloaded's Grinder is an odd thing. It produces Wither Skulls when used to kill Wither Skeletons, but will give no other rare drops- no iron from Zombies, for instance.

No problem, I'd like to control most of the early farms since I will need /lots/ of liquid meat, might as well make liquid meat if you're going to kill the mobs, assuming skeletons are made of meat. without buffers I'll have to get creative to make the community chest work again so I'm open to ideas on that but a public coal enderchest should be totally doable
with the loss of xycraft I'll need a ton of tanks made from whatever to store all this delicious meat

ducks dont like getting poked in the eye
The buttons actually open the trapdoor, so it kind of looks like he's quacking. However, it is just inside the spawn protected area, so I don't think non-opped players can press the buttons.
To be honest having door ways made out of phantom blocks... Would be fething awesome. That would be so cool. Just color them different colors to indicate which is a doorway and which is not.
Those two videos just prove how awesome those mods are to me. Draw bridges, new thaumcraft tools. Creative flight tools...... How is that not awesome? Now we just need customizable armor!
There has to be /something/ that isn't terrible buildcraft pipes I can use
BC pipes are just too problematic and vomit stuff randomly
BC Seemed much better pipes-wise. Liquid pipes were always fine for me.
Waterproof pipes you mean? their throughput is aweful, liquiducts are the only thing that really put out a usable amount of fluid, My issue was buildcraft pipes who seem to poop their contents randomly upon chunk load, I could get wacky and use conveyers I guess but I dont think they sort and they are kind of a pain in the butt.

I've been too busy working on re-creating all the ages and then setting up the new Nexus:
Spoiler:
There won't be a Mystcraft Sky age this time around. However, Biomes o Plenty adds The Promised Lands, you just have to work to unlock it first...
If Reliquary is now enabled by default I won't disable it. (To be fair it was a bit odd that Reliquary was disabled for being abuseable, and then Dartcraft was included, which is sooo much more abuseable).
As for Hats, I'll take a look. They look fun, but some of the huge hats could get very annoying if people spammed them.
Ah, like the Aether. However is that custom grass or just vanilla? ...The Aether had custom blocks. ...Aether.
So why are you including that particular age? Because it doesn't look so broken as the Sky Age did? Is there a practical reason for it I mean, like for instance people using it as a communal portal location?

It's perma-day, has custom grass, trees etc and a few things you can't get anywhere else (amethyst) as well as some nice treats (that fancy spring water that heals you). Plus it looks damn cool:
Ok i have been trying to read up as much as possible on Thaumcraft and how it all works and vis and flux and all of that stuff.
There are a few beginners guides and guides that tell you how to sort of get started but nothing that really encompasses everything.
Could someone post a list of things that would be useful when using Thaumcraft? I do not want a list of crazy stuff but like a smallish guide like " you should build x and then make y and you should try and research/craft z because..."
i have been reading about vis and flux and how to control both, but any additional tips would be a great help!
Well basic startup for thaumcraft make a wand and a thauminomicon. Then read the book it will tell you the basics for getting started, such as how to make the arcane workbench, crucible and so on.
Good tip would be to control your flux by not overfilling the crucible with essences you dont need. Wisps hurt, especially before you get a lightning wand or such to deal with them.
Getting a Netherwart farm going early is good. The netherwart has the flux/chaos symbol on it IIRC, so it's good for researching all the items you need for flux control.
Once you've got your goggles, four arcane alembics on your cauldron and are avoiding overusing aspects, you can then just explore the Thaumonominom and have fun with what you find.
4oursword wrote: So Reliquary is back in, along with that weird hat mod?
Reliquary is in, yeah.
I will probably add the hats mod in (and the hat stands) because if you get sick of it, you can set "renderhats=0" in your config, and others can still enjoy it without bothering you.

That's the main reason I'll add them in, they're don't change the game in any way and they're configurable at the client end. So hat connoisseurs can have all the fun they want, and anyone who considers it nonsense can hide them.

You're going to the nether I'll give an ETA when I have one. It will probably be ready at some point in the next few days, but that's all you'll get for now.
Powerconverters will stay disabled. They've disabled it due to some ability to effectively get infinite free power. Yes the ratios can be adjusted in the config, but if it were that simple, they would have done that and included it.
ok i watched a pretty good Thaumcraft 3 playthrough and i am starting to watch a FTB Unleashed one so i should have a pretty decent grasp on things. i also will be trying everything out on a single player world just to make sure i have an understanding of how things work before the server gets the update.

Craaap, are these the bridges and such? :(
note: I'm not generating infinite power with them, I used them for easy delivery of EU and other crap energy to machines that explode mostly, instead of screwing around with so many lag inducing bridges and generators that sometimes vomit coal everywhere I converted over to bridges and tesseracts which is about where I stopped killing the server
There are a lot less EU powered machines now that Gregtech is gone. For those that remain, there are ways of converting power that aren't messy. Also, solar panels are a lot cheaper this time around. Free power anyway :-p

Yeah I'm thinking of it, I never liked all the risk of explosion with every thing you did and when I tried to get crazy with infinite resources the first time I lost a ton of stuff to it :( I really enjoyed the safety that those bridges provided
I'm now rather sad about the removal of Redpower as I now have to reinvent how I"ll do my infinte cobblestone generator.
Also, I finally tried that infinite flux generator from about 50 pages ago. The backlash the mode unleashed to restore balance was so bad I had to nuke the whisps and my lab.
Dr. What wrote: I'm now rather sad about the removal of Redpower as I now have to reinvent how I"ll do my infinte cobblestone generator.
Use Igenous Extruders, they're one-block low lag Cobble Generators from Thermal Expansion. One Cobble Block every 2.5 seconds with no power, water, or lava consumption.
Dr. What wrote: I'm now rather sad about the removal of Redpower as I now have to reinvent how I"ll do my infinte cobblestone generator.
You know there's a single block, that generates infinite cobble, requires no power to run, requires no resources to run, doesn't generate any lag and can output cobble into the pipe or inventory system of your choice, right?
http://thermalexpansion.wikispaces.com/Igneous+Extruder
These are so good that I actually recommend people void all cobble from quarries at the actual quarry location (rather than teleporting it across dimensions and then voiding or storing it).

(Not saying some starting supplies wouldn't hurt. But yet again this is minecraft)
Also could we have unoffical rule not to use power suits with flight (or game breaking jump height) in the twilight forest? It really defeats the purpose of mazes and everything. Also could we make it so people do not use quarries in the twilight forest? At all? We have the mining age for that. So keep it there please.
The twilight forest in my opinion is suppose to be hard. Not taken with the most op power armor with flight where you could fly away and kill bosses from a quarter of a mile away. (or cheating on the dark tower and just flying to the top.)
Heh, people actually bothered climbing the towers instead of just flying up, knocking a hole in the wall and gravity gunning the boss to death? Its that the loot's a bit meh in the Twilight Forest in general, so I kind of don't see the point in working to get a hold of it. If others want to spend ages trudging through a maze to get a hold of a bucket then that's their decision. =P

Thats the same with the Ender Dragon yet everyone always goes hardcore for that. The Bosses in the twilight forest are no different.
If I recall correctly the Tekkit Enderdragon was mining lasered to death and I can't assume Matapata took it easy on the FTB Ultimate enderdragon.
If you don't want people to use flight suits to steal the goodies from Twilight, you'd be better playing it single player where it will definitely remain untainted. I really don't have the capability or the time to patrol the Twilight Forest stopping people

In power armor its an (easy) fight, it is the gravity guns that people just instantly murder all the bosses with
Rather than a blanket ''No Quarries!'' rule, i'd be more supportive of a rule, unofficial or otherwise, which limits Twilight Quarrying to far away. I mean, I like some of the blocks in rhe forest but there's no way I'd quarry them all manually.
oh, and I'm going to need a lot of Clay. Between Coke Ovens, the huge smeltery I plan on creating and Bone Blocks, I will need a metric fuckton of clay. I might just buy some off you lot, in exchange for bees and mosr of the Thaumcraft rubbish I might find. I still have unused Knowledge Fragments on the FTB ULtimate server.

quarries malfunction and dissapear in twilight and the distance from dirt to bedrock is pretty small, it isn't very smart to either way
I'd be willing to take thaumcraft stuff in exchange for clay.
And Bone Blocks? Grundz, sounds like you'll have to put a skeleton inside your meat tower.
I'm thinking straight up Oblivion.
Also, maybe limit the Twilight Forest to Magic stuff? Like Direwolf20 did at first. So if you want to quarry out a Hollow Hill, bring an Arcane Bore. Use wands of Lightning and Ice on the Hydra, use the whirligig thing to fly around...

It depends how much help I get, I'm mostly going to set it up as a solid tower and then slowly make it lumpy and add random arms, mouths, bleeding pustules, ect. I'm thinking my machinery and such could be located on boats floating on the blood ocean or inside, not sure yet, a lot of this depends on how much cooperation I get and how quickly I can produce meat blocks.
I think first point of business is getting Iron and Dark Iron production set up (as well as the meat blocks and blood ocean, of course)- so that the machinery can be put in rusty eevil looking metallic structures. Maybe bronze/brass blocks, for that Dark Mechanicus feel?
That sounds good, I want to try and get retraining walls up to hold the ocean out, chunk loaders and pumps going asap since I think voiding an ocean will take a while

Yeah So unofficial rule then don't kill bosses unless it is in a legit way?
No real way of patrolling it apart from just it is heavily frowned upon. Just like how we all hated it when someone killed the ender dragon without letting anyone know about it.
Found a bug with the Trade Station (crashes the server), so unlinked linking books will be free because the forestry trade station is silly and over complicated and I'm not adding the vending mod.
I've generated a nice chunk of world from -2000,-2000 to 2000,2000 so you don't all lag the server going exploring (and then complain because it's laggy). I'm going to do the same for Twilight tomorrow (but maybe not as large an area), as that seems to be popular for exploration and also intensive to generate.
I also have to unlock and check the promised land works before "locking" it again for you lot to find and unlock. (It was working fine on a previous release, but best to double check).
Then there's server-y stuff to do, (set up backups etc), get the map installed and configured and working etc, but most of that can be copied from Ultimate.
As long as things go smoothly (and I don't have to attend to any real world tasks ), it could be ready by early Friday evening GMT. Maybe. No promises. I'm still maintaining the nether rule
Anyway, looks like there'll be another Unleashed update at some point today to fix ID conflicts with the two different versions of MFFS. You'd think they'd have thought "hey, we're adding two versions of a mod, maybe we should check for ID conflicts?" or at least, "hey we've just added three new mods to the pack, shall we keep it in Beta for a little longer?" but oh well, it's all free goodies anyway.

Actually once exploring the Nether I realized how much of a terrible place and hard place it is to survive there D:.
The nether = evil. I died even diamond in the single player test world I have for unleashed.
For the real one, the walls and floors will be covers mostly. The floors will be spruce so that can be left bare for some rooms. Will be a second floor, can see the stairs. Currently it's also filled with bats.
Looks good, but note those Redpower lamps aren't available, so it would have to be glowstone or the illuminators I linked earlier.
If you're having crashing problems with Unleashed and you just went and enabled all mods, try disabling death timer and vending again, as death timer crashes on world creation and vending crashes in creative mode. Fun.

What material is that made of? Looks vaguely marble-ish- again not in Unleashed.
I have never paid for anything from Steam and don't intend to start now. I'll nick a copy off frostoman instead if I feel like it, but the only shooter I play is TF2, and Metroid Prime on occasion.
So the Ultimate server is now down for good :( I'll make the world available for download at some point, but may have to break it up by dimension (some of you went a bit powersuit happy generating chunks...)
The map has moved to http://www.darkinnit.com/oldftbmap/
Hurrah, 90% of the blocks I built spawn with are invisible on the map! Yeay!
As with the previous map, you can't claim things just by pointing them out on the map, you have to wait till the server is available and you have actually gone there in game.
I hope to be able to claim that village once I get on (I need the bee keeping NPC and his possessions). Plus, it'll be a great place to set up Schellan Farms.
Also, Iiiinnnteresting... Looks like the Mage's Tower is going to be Stone this time around. Makes things easier- stone, iron, generally rocky things...
And Grundz! Wasteland right there, with a nice big body of water next to it! Hurrah!
Hmm. Must grab some iron and some swords and steal a lich tower to make as a home. Anyone wanna help me conquer one? I just need a place to stay if you want to you can also take half the loot
Ah, found the right spot on the map. I'm not saying I'm claiming 1400, 400, but I'm totally claiming that spot. Hmn, though I could just transmute all the sand I'm needing instead.
* Goes there only to find a sign from Darkinnit saying that he owns it.

It was happening when I tried to search through the items so I figured it may have been the block ID thing. I guess them not being in there makes it cheaper as well, suppose I'll be making a large use of the gaseous glowstone.
4oursword wrote: What material is that made of? Looks vaguely marble-ish- again not in Unleashed.
Marble, but I'm thinking quartz, whitestone or even snow will work out just as well for it. Even a light grey like concrete if it's still in there would work with the palette I'm going with.
Nope. If you toggle debug I think it tells you the humidity of an area. They're class as arid like deserts.
However in that it doesn't rain, mobs will still spawn as though it were. So if you happen to see them toting about in the sun that's the reason. Still, if you're like me and you the constant rain annoys you, this may be a small issue to bear. =P

Natura clouds. Can't find a wiki link, but they spawn above the vanilla clouds, are actual blocks, and you can stand "in" them. You can mine them and place them and they cushion any fall similar to how water does. There are also ash and sulfur clouds in the nether which have some use in crafting recipes I think.

anywho I found a spot that should be suitable for my needs, 2 nearby villages with at least 2 close siverwood trees. there is also a "dark nexus" looking thing nearby that is a dark node from what I have accidentally found out in my single player adventures.
Annoyingly, tomorrow I'm off on holiday to some dump with no internet access. So by the time I'm back, all of the spots I'm after will have been nicked.
For the record, I want a breeding population of Roseters. So if you set up shop in a Garden Biome and want to go on a genocidal purge, please leave two so I can buy them laters.
Most of the bugs only hurt yourself (like losing resources). However, a couple of the crash ones (like putting spring water or poison water in a tank) can leave the server in a state where it needs to be MCedited to fix it. So please don't do it. To do it from ignorance/accident is one thing, but if I find someone doing it on purpose, they will be banned.
On server issues, what did you decide to go with for the mining age to alleviate that ...issue? As I'll woefully concede, I was the main cause of lag at certain points due to ...being an self involved idiot, I'll be acting a bit more mature this time around. I'll be on my best behavior (...or at least not as bad) and do my best not to find some other marvelous ways to kill the server this time around. =P
The mining age? What issue? The mining age is the same. Unless you meant the cave age. I changed the cave age to a desert so there aren't any thaumcraft goodies on the surface. Redpower isn't there to spam the cave age with marble either this time.
Okay from the map the spawn area looks fantastic, as do the initial patchwork of Biomes. Really nice work Dark. I'm really looking forward to playing this!
Are those giant balls of Glowstone floating about in the Nexus?

Thanks! It looks a bit better in game when you can actually see all the blocks in the structure.
Those are giant glowstone spheres in the nexus, because why not? They're suspended over a void, so it's more dangerous than the nether There are also more spheres that are not shown, but unfortunately the current release version of Dynmap has a bug showing nether quartz.

...That's what the previous few dozen pages of this thread have been about. Darkinnit's planning on releasing it tonight, but you'd need to get his input to confirm that. =P
The new server's on the 1.5 update, as that's the latest one and should remain consistent for a decent enough period (presumably the same amount of time as the previous one existed). A Ftb update for 1.6.2 won't be out for a good while, so it was decided to patch to 1.5 rather than stick with the current server for whatever reason. The new launcher doesn't really effect things I don't think, its background changes that are the issue, but again I pay little attention to anything outside the vanilla patches, so Darkinnit's your guy for such questions.
Though on that note I think that that topic was covered in the FAQ Darkinnit wrote up a while ago (check his articles).
n0t_u's pre-design makes me feel like i have been playing minecraft wrong all this time.
i am trying to break away from my blocky medieval castles to something better looking so i am trying my hand at medieval castles with... CIRCLES!
i will have to take some screen shots of my single player area as i think it is pretty sweet.
i found a large mountain that is mostly hollow that i built stairs into, the stairs lead into a tunnel. The tunnel dumpes out at a river so i added a gate and drawbridge to an NPC village.
i am thinking of making my mountain enterance hidden by having a waterfall spill over the front when the gate is down.
The only other nerfs/changes are:
Mystcraft: Book binder, link modifier & inkwell disabled. (Linking books are in a community chest until they fix the trade station bug).
Portal Gun: Moon shot does not suck blocks
Biomes O Plenty: puddles do not form during rain (because it messes up the landscape and they never disappear)
VoxelMap: Mob radar is disabled. Cave mode is disabled except for the nether.
If I haven't mentioned a nerf, it's because it isn't nerfed.
By the power vested in me by the almighty 'Thing', I claim the town of 'Place' at -1864, -701 and it surrounding lands (lets say 300 blocks each side for now)!
Dark, I just lost a whole inventory of stuff because of lag. Was mining, and a zombie dropped in, and the next thing I know I was dead, The zombie was nowhere near me.
I would ask an inventory reset to the point (4:20 or so pm +8gmt)
I keep getting lag spikes when I am underground, and its to the point where if this happens, it will be unplayable. its not a gaming issue, its the hardware.

I died as well and lost everything I owned. The spawners on the server seem to be broken. Because immediately when I got near a location i was swarmed by 20 zombies. I am not even kidding. I could of fought against it if my internet didn't crash me. I think my items despawned..... a zombie picked up all my armor and my sword.

But now I have everything and I fixed everything
I am a Slayer.... One guy one mission. To slay the Ender dragon!
Just found a problem. So the uncrafting table for twilight forest is heavily bugged. Do not use it or it might crash the server (your game crashed was using a single player road)....... Lesson learned.....
Why ever use an uncrafting table? From me experience the return on the items you put in it would only ever be worth it if you were getting rid of them anyway, ie say you found some useless tools in a chest and just wanted some extra sticks...
Asherian Command wrote:Just found a problem. So the uncrafting table for twilight forest is heavily bugged. Do not use it or it might crash the server (your game crashed was using a single player road)....... Lesson learned.....
"your game crashed was using a single player road" - these are all English words, but I can't parse that sentence.
Dr. What wrote:Apparently, placing a Chunk Loader will also crash your client.
Can you both be a bit more specific? How is the uncrafting table "heavily bugged"? As for chunk loaders, I've used spot loaders without issue... Which type of chunk loader? There are many different types.
Automatically Appended Next Post: In other news, Biomes O Plenty itself was at fault for all the missing textures and "unamed" items. A fix is on the way, but an updated pack will likely come once they've also fixed bugs with MFR and the Forge Multipart (microblocks) mods.
ok i have been looking into how to speed up my zombie flesh gathering so that i can make the blood stained brick from railcraft in the massive quantity i need.
i do not want to stand infront of a zombie spawner for ages so i started looking into these safari balls i have found as loot.
i am going to build a mob farm using the auto spawner and some grinders, it will be fairly compact and will be able to change what mob is being farmed.
i need to make sure everything i need to make the farm is in the current mod pack and i am going to try to build a working version in single player first.

I hate autocorrect. I meant to say WORLD. NOT ROAD SCREW YOU MOZILLA!
I still don't get how it's "heavily bugged". As far as I'm aware, it usually only uncrafts vanilla and twilight items. Did you try to uncraft a mod item? Does it crash even with vanilla items?
it seems that some of the extra features of the mob grinder i want to build are not available as redpower is not in ultimate. i will look for alternative solutions or wait to see if redpower gets added back in at 1.6.
the grinder should work without the pneumatic pipes it just wont be AS user friendly.

All I know is that I placed one of the Chunk Loaders (Enchantment Table + Gold + Ender Pearl) down by my lava pump station and I auto crashed. I'm not sure what exactly caused the crash, but I'd assume that it would be due to the most relevant action.
Also, when I first came to my NPC village, I stashed all the NPCs away. 2 were buried in my basement (separately for safety) and the rest were bottled into a house with a block of cobble in front of the door. Now that I've finally walled in the compound to keep mobs out, I decided to let them out. However, the block guarding that door had been moved about 5 blocks away (I suspect Endermen at work here) and all the villagers were killed...
Fortunately, the remaining 2 have survived and I've finally managed to get them to breed.
Could someone help me make a treefarm? I have all the materials needed I think. I don't really know what goes into a tree farm. Could someone help by messaging me or putting it down into the thread here of what you need in order to build a tree farm that can sustain all my energy problems? (nothing that much just to power my ME network once i have materials for it. I also need it for a pulverizer and powered furnaces (Two of them. And also for my magma crucible so I can have red cables powering the force enchanters and for my bees.)
And also i need wood so i can get unlimited iron and gold.
I'm just mining cobble still. Haven't even started on Thaumcraft yet, and don't even have an Iron Pick or equivalent.
I need some clay. Or some gold, with which to make a Minium stone to make clay.
Sure I can give you a stack of clay Hell I could give you smeltery blocks.

It crashed with a golden chest piece that had Protection 4 Fiery Aura 2 and Haste 3. When I was trying to make it thaumium of course....
Also it uncrafts... Literally everything I have tried that doesn't take something special
Anvildude wrote: You realize that Thaumium enchants better (or at least as well as) Gold, right? You could probably have gotten those on it through vanilla means.
Hey guys,
I just uploaded the first episode of my new FTB Unleashed series on the dakka server!
If you see me and WakelyXD on the server we are eityher recording or getting a bit done off camera.
If anyone wants to join in any of the videos you can add me on skype (pm me)
Good stuff. I was curious why the lemon trees were flickering for you, but then later you used a zoom function, which indicates you're using Optifine, so that's probably why the trees were freaking out a bit (Optifine can cause glitches, but it is still useful for the benefits it provides).
Forestry also has an invisible pollination layer on its trees which shows up when you use the apiarist hat or the spectacles, so this hidden layer may be what's causing the flickering in Optifine.
unfortunately i figure out what was causing my MC problems, and it sucks kind of- Biomes-O-Plenty is the culprit of my laggy deathfest (i mean 3 hours to get a SP world loaded with it on)
Due to the massive demand for lapis lazuli, I'm beginning to establish a bee-produced lapis factory.
If all goes according to plan, lapis will be pumping out by this weekend.
Once that's done, creating diamonds en masse will be much easier.
If anybody would like to donate any rocky/water bees, I'd be quite glad. (Once I am pumping out sufficient lapis, it will be free to the public and accesible via an ender chest.)
Can someone setup a good grinder that doesn't destroy your armor? I.E. not a blaze spawner. Because i feel like we need one on the server very badly.
For example you could have a cow slaughter house with a feeder that collects the mob essence and then it feeds the spawner which in turn feeds a brain in a jar and many other brains in a jar. So that way we could have a public exp farm. Just needs power and a cow farm

I have one of those too! It'll grind every mob except Blazes once I wrap up the last bit. I'll either put up a book at the nexus to it or utilize ender chests (most likely the former).

It should be up in about 4 hours.
Thank you... I hate blazes because they hurt you too hard.

Hang on...is the grinder supposed to include Blazes? Mine is just anything that can spawn in the Mining Age (including Ender Tots, which is going to save me lots of Iron!).

No. Please no blazes. Endermen > Blazes. You could use obsidian for the mob spawner so nothing is damage or picked up by the endermen or creepers for that matter.
Also You could set it up with a brain in a jar + computer craft. So we just sit back and watch as hundreds of mobs are slaughtered. Seeing how easy it is to spawn mobs in a grinder. I could help with construction. I have made a few hundred spawners in my Sky Block and Super Hostile Adventures.

Well, the current set up (once I get in there to install it in a bit), is this:
The constant light of the Mining Age makes mobs very common in any place that is dark enough (I dump lava into my quarries before I cover them now), so, I have a multi-tiered tower (which will grow with time) that, if left alone for a little bit, will easily produce around 40-50 mobs (this is with only 3 levels so far). Mobs drop down into the bottom level. In the middle of the floor is a simple 4X4 space. 4 pistons rest on top of it, constantly changing state due to a simple redstone clock. Mobs perceive the extended piston as a safe block instead of the large drop and walk onto it, then the piston retracts and drops them down about 50 blocks, killing them. Then, obisidian pipes suck up the remains and return them to the surface.
