Well, go have a read about Lemans in Khadrovian service for a good chuckle, is just part 1 I promise to have more later. And more fresh air when working with glues and painting supplies!!
i think it might be these ant radiation pills...it´s all in the colors... white and red pills are just to tasty looking to refuse for too long... the steroids never did it for me tho...
and if FO has swallowed dave i think he will eventually be spit out again... yucky...
oh... i think i remeber that one... didn´t watch the whole movie as i think that theme sucks...but i saw the "inerrogation scene"... with the nails and the powercables ...that was surley fun times...
"....And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O LORD, bless this Thy hand grenade that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits, in Thy mercy." And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. curiously this was the only scene i watched... and this one i liked...tho i turned away because of some aspects of the dialogue...i really hate sexual crimes and this film has to much about that stuff...
a certain kind of plot makes me very aggressive without any means to solve the problem caused in me... that is why i tend to watch or read books/movies that more of a comedic side of entertainment... i just avoid this frustration that comes with bad endings...

Which is why it is so nice to see Liam given them payback. On a side note I think it is one of the most believable performances Holly Valance has ever done
nope... not the new one... i watched the swedish version... or better my wife watched it as she read the books... and i had to listen to the whole affair while modeling or gaming... and all i can say is...
Automatically Appended Next Post: where did holly vallance play in that movie? i didn´t saw her...but then i watched whole five minutes^^
Coincidentally, Liam Neeson plays the voice of your father in Fallout 3. Instead of fighting it, I thought I'd pipe in
Automatically Appended Next Post: However, Liam Neeson is NOT Liam Neeson without his trademark voice. How the hell can you watch something that has overdubbed his voice??
It WOULD instantly suck IMHO.
darn... so does that mean i have to get me an english version of FO??? darn where would i get that? the shop i saw a copy of the game for a tenner it was of course the germ-an version...
I know when I started playing FO3 I was as good as not home at all for like four weeks minimum before my wife starting throwing my dinner plates at me to get me to get off the game.....
i think my wife would rather kill me than allow even two hours at daytimes to game around while the kids are awake... mind you i am the cook at home so everybody would likely starve to certain death...^^
LOL... i can see how that might work for you^^...tho me it would kill for sure...shifts and maybe even night shifts... probably couldn´t cope with that...tho i am a night owl by heart^^

Hate them Mind you hate work generally ruins my day completely …… plus it is a permanent 14.00 to 22.00 shift monday to friday …..
I used to work nights. Ungh it was hard work. 23:00 - 07:00 Sunday - Thursday and then 20:00 - 02:00 Friday Saturday. Working 7 days a week only lasted 3 months before i just zonked from exhaustion. I'm glad i work a 9-5 in an office now
Dont mind standing just going any where is the down side LOL
I worked nights for about 1 year 8 months 22.00 to 06.00 monday to friday, saturday 17.00 to 01.00 and sunday 20.00 to 04.00. Mind you it was a continental shift 6 days on 3 days of …… but it still sucked as we were always short staffed and had to work our days of
LOL....LOL....indeed... oh how good it is to laugh at the expense of someone else... now when i actually get the contract we can even laugh ourself silly at the paychecks^^
but you have top keep in mind i have to sit my bum wide at school too... er...on second thought...that is not a downside at all...after all i get paid to sit amongst young fellows ...(mostyl of the femal persuasion...all thinking me=softy...^^)

Think something is getting lost in translation here …… or at least I hope so LOL
When you get your paycheque see if you still laughing then, no other way faster for wiping a smile of your face than getting your paycheque …….
lol...yup....like marx used to say... there is no equivalent payment for the amount of time you wasted up for doing work... slightly foggy quote of him^^

woof, ok I have now beaten both main quests in FO3 and FO:NV. I still want to replay FO:3 though, not be a living saint with the brotherhood and such. I needed to quit, My house was starting to look like this:
..almost
Automatically Appended Next Post: I too, played the living crap out of C&C, tiberium sun, and Red Alert 1&2- I have not played RA:3 yet, but I hear the actors are suitably OTT with that right amount of as usual

@Vik- snapped these and thought of Rivetto
I ended up commanding an army of these with sarge faces on the screens btw
My hours of Research have hatched a few terrain ideas:
Dieselpunk anyone?
Machine tools!
@all- the rest of the crazy conversation has been:
..riveting
I wish I would have bought Space Marine for PC instead of PS3- I cannot aim with those stupid analog sticks, it sucks. Give me a mouse and kb and I will pwn.
I am playing it at the moment, put the single player on hold to have some multiplayer action (before my gold membership runs out)
Got to love designing the style and colour of the armour that has always been one of my fav bits of all of the DOW games
I got New Vegas for the PS because I knew if I got it on the PC I'd mod it up and never get round to finishing it. Plus my PC's still dead atm
I'm trying to play through the main quest, but it's against my nature I've been playing Morrowind for years now - barely touched the main quest. Oblivion for a couple of years - hardly touched the main quest. FO3 - only progressed the main quest a little bit , and that by accident
You get the idea. Guess I just like to role-play curiosity filled characters with no sense of responsibilty.
"OK, so I need to head over to the next township fast if I'm to save the country. Ooh, what's that over those hills? Looks shiny. Better go investigate...."
Oh wait - that's not role-play when you're being yourself is it?
dave...? you want to build a trailorpark? lol...how american can it get after that^^ lol...
as for the monowheeler bots... i actually had also thought of making something like that... is that manly intuition??? lol...specially like the hunchback look of them... could be the CCR version mordain talked about...like MAX from the black hole movie...a coupla centuries ago^^
and that small dialoge...lol...
and if i recall correctly mate... i suggested first you making some tools fit for a weaponsmith for your terrain...:((
cheers, vik

...wouldn´t say that... i always tend to play myself in any RPG... well aspcts of myself... i never was the guy to play a convincing elf...couldn t be that spaced out like it would have been needed^^
If you're still in the gaming mood another one you could try is Rage. I'm having fun with it and the imagery fits right into Necromunda... Maybe a little more Ash-wastey, but there's loads of inspiration there! I know when I eventually have enough space to store it all I'll be building some terrain inspired by that
so, I had 30 pages of BS back there, and you all are still here I am gonna watch Book of Eli and then think about thinking about looking at an x-acto knife.
mxwllmdr wrote:And RW, I don't know what your doing to your XBox's but I have three and a fourth on the way and have never had a problem......
when i had an xbox, my sister was living with us, and thats ALL she did, plus the systems where in our room that all the walls (except one) where glass, so major heat to a majory overheated system.. same reason my first ps3 broke, twin brother is one of those who are obsessed with call of duty, and he played it (still does on the newest one) nonstop from probibly 4pm, when he wakes up, till deep into the early morning... overheated the crap out of that poor one. So not REALLY xbox's fault, its more that i grew up on ps1 and ps2
The Terrible Shotgun is my favorite weapon in FO:3, Giving Boone a rifle and having him follow me around is my fav FO:NV weapon It's like having your own personal Solid Snake
However, if you can craft small coke-shaped glass bottles.....

Absolutely! I wonder if there is some sort of translucent flourescent blue pigment that can be put into the clear to make Nuka Cola Quantum (The formula for Quantum includes a mild isotope to make it glow )
I'll most likely be able to make them clear and tinted blue, or other colors if necessary, but they might be a bit small to make hollow to put liquid in, although if I can, that would be cool!
We can work something out, I might put them on my site as scenery bits, and just send you some for advertisement!
finally you have returned to your workdesk!!! and yet again you have choosen a most worthy task to fullfill!!! the nuka cola vending machine looks super cool! what a way to return to the land of the makers^^
Hey man, all I ask is that you give me designed by: credits They don't need to be hollow man, capped, then you can cut the cap off with an xacto and drill it out if you want an empty. (Bottle Caps are currency )
Thanks Vik! It's a start. Part of me wants to just paint this, part of me wants to send it to Galorn for molding.
Things to think about while I play with putty, liquid GS, and sanding.
cant you make those bottle lids(right word for these?) out of plasticcard discs made with the holepunch and some dents done by stamping some screwdriver bitz on them? could that work? ...mebbe if you use thin PC?
as for your problem what to do... wouldn´t want to be in your shoes now as i can see this would be great both ways^^
No need for that, at that scale a little paint will go a long way methinks. You'll only need to paint a red stripe for the label and a dot of red on the cap, maybe white edge highlights on the bottle texturre? Just cast either in clear or smokey ink colored resin, it would be great!
Yeah, I think I alrady have the perfect bottle caps! In the picture, the far left two columns of sprockets, the far, far left is the one I am thinking of, hard to se, but if I sand it down just a bit to flatten the top, it should be perfect.
(You can click on the picture to zoom in.)
@ Galorn - Yeah, I have not tried anything like this, but that is pretty much what I was thinking. I mean, you don't want all of the bottles to be empties, right? I'll have to look at many tutorials before I try it!
Ah yes, the "Secret Handshake"! It works over thousands of miles!
Well Dave, I want it to look good. I'll see what I can do!

i knew there was someone out there that sculpted some non brotherhood minis already
by the way... i am out of the vault and kicking some raider bums...out of school...the first piece of action i had after running out of the old home... erm...by the way...was the death of the chief avoidable? i clobbered him to bitz with a baseball bat?^^ the thing that is a bit straining... my eyes... i get a bit dazzled after some minutes...it is that kind of graphics engine that always makes me a bit dizzy...
i have yet to understand so much of this new game...but it is a long time since i was so tense during a game... the sound...the rotting feel of ...well... everything... the school i searched... full of torn and tortured corpeses...man...no wonder it has a 18+ rating in germany...

Doomed to be the wasteland wanderer, learn how to use the Pip-Boy-3000 to maximum advantage! It helps you work your meds/foods/weapons/armor, including repairs and equipping them for use. Oh and master V.A.T.S. to get the drop on your enemies!
Dave, I like your idea of the Nuka Cola Cooler for your settings of the buildings.
At approx 1/2 to 1/3 the costs of GW minis,,,,,but still that is the cost of the characters. I wonder if he has a mass purchase order? 10 would almost be as expensive as DKoK from FW

It's said, there are discounts, when ordering over 15 pcs.
The Infiltrator (found in the Pitt) is superior to the Chinese AK or the US Assault Rifle, it's a pain in the ass to get, but it's worth it. Takes the same 5.56mm ammo, AND It can be repaired with either assault rifle too
Automatically Appended Next Post: ps. My order with Brother Vinni's has been placed!
well... i actually tried the advert to read with a deep (well i think it would do^^) southern accent...and it sounds very cool...that text has rythm^^
as for the new gang dave... despite the few odd details i think these could do for your first minis done by airbrush...the scheme could be fairly simple i think...

Thanks Ishkatar! I will be considering a unit or so of these guys!
Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, yeah, the perforator is a nice weapon, but the special AK Is also sweet. 36rnds of ammo, and a LOT of damage!
second that... an ak...that is just as classic wasteland as can be^^
by the way... i am now in megaton... and sadly the local sheriff got wasted in a fight...not by me... but my my unknowing bad fighting skills... if i had shot better he might still be alive ...
yep....beside from helping you a huge amount of work to direct onto the right pace...it also brings the air of fallaout pipboy so much better to the game... and the bullet time when you throw a grenade... i think i have to create a truly evil fella later on and throw grenades for the lulz in a city... all those flying "models"...
There is a scene set up somewhere of two Garden Gnomes drinking and smoking, and there is a teddy bear that has drugs a gun and knife and has apparantly offed himself.....
Err, well, actually I was refering to our Soviet past and all this cult of personality and brainwashed marching kids... Along with current political situation and recent president election with all this intense brainwashing going on the TV... Along with reviving of the Orthodox Church and those religious brainwashed fanatics I see more and more around every day... So such a kid on the chocolate looks quite in place But indeed, it wasn't an obvious joke.
And Christina Ricci was a true gem of that good ol' movie, no doubt!
If you are going for a fall out feel, then you should make sure to add the posters from the loading screens. That would make waiting on your opponent more familiar. I think we have all seen those screens more time then we have wanted to.
Maybe when it says "pork" is the main ingredient, that means...
Wait, does it say hydrolized baby protein somewhere at the bottom? It does, doesn't it?
Anyway, it's a eurostyle sausage and every kid knows we eat a lot of baby here in europeiania.
...lol...i like that sound of the word... i think we need a big dictator for that too...oh noes...we had that a coupla years ago and it failed...miserably at that too...^^
well... you do realize that comments like these might give you some real problems...? you know these peeps watch everything...*looks behind him...*
and... we do have our own dictator... she wears stupid trouser dresses and looks like she has no neck... every dictotor has some wierd feature.... oh and she as a terrible accent as well... did i mention i didn´t vote for her?^^
yep... russians, germans... oh i forgott to add italians, french and for that matter the british... heck...name me one country that hasn´t had a time when they weren´t run by a dictator... something about the sheep mentality of men makes us feel at first comfy with these weirdo rulers...and then we begin to moan...
bet it was just the postman with the daily dose of anthrax...the music of course...^^
Aye, indeed. Though I believe nearly everyone will become a dectator of some kind after getting so much power... You know, it corrupts Also I'm pretty sure that nice fellas usually just don't jump into politics and country ruling...
It was... Well, it was just a wind. Just wind... Now I better get back to my idle sitting on the pile of pillows with an X-box controller and silently play my games... And not speaking my mind over the internet.
well...me... i wouldn´t be courpted by power... because... lets face it... darth vader is my role model...^^
and... in a book by terry pratchett...the last continent to be precise...it was stated that elected rulers go straight to the tanty...they probably call this a timesaver...^^
Ah, North Korea, the land that seems to be a mix of religious cult and prison camp all at one! Basically the kind of "utopia" Rev, Jim Jones attempted to make for himself in Guiana.
NK they really do make the leaders out as of a divine birth and presence to be admired and worship while all starve and work themselves to death and like it!
Any way, the Nuka-cola machine is great, and the Lunch-o-matic is a good idea as well.
oh yeah now i get it... north korea... yeah that is one fethed up country... and they basically scream for more punishment... maybe it is due to religious stuff that they react that way to kim (/%( ill... (is that a pun? ill as in sick? lol)

i have a pic of my son...aged about two years back then... the cam wrecked it all... he got these really weird looking red eyes...above the usual you may get... my wife printed it out and aplied some hrons on his head... he is now my favorite bookmark ! hehehe...
Ah, good 'ole "Red Eye" effect of older cameras. It looked really great one year when I had some disturbingly well applied red and black face paint with fangs a cross and black leather wrist bands during the Fasching season, pal took a pic and the red eye effect made it look wilder than it already was!
Should have seen the looks on people's faces with that get up on, even though the rest was just a black shirt and jeans and boots. Oh yeah, and the three horns, two pointed up, and one pointed down. heheheh, guess who came to Fasching was the theme.
They are the same stuff! Except one is in a squeeze bottle (better for filling the TV for a screen) and one is in a GW dry-out-o-matic pot ..And the colors obviously, but it all gets primer anyways.
Ah, the container is where the suck-tastic comes into play. I was expecting more the milliputt route which was a toothpaste kind of container, you know a squeeze tube. But a paint pot?
Well, the vallejo is about the viscosity of thick paint, the liquid green stuff is thicker and tackier- I don't think liquid GS is meant for sculpting is it? I don't understand sculpting at all if it is.
the promlem with this work here is the following needed sanding... which is a bugger with GS...i think for that job milliput or some kneadadite would have been better?
Naa, sands fine. no worries at all. I've never used any of those you are talking about tho Vik.
It's just going to take some time to make it mimic 1950's automotive bodywork.
