uuuuhhhh yeah... now THAT is looking sexy... and i don´t mind sounding nerdy here... the wiremesh and the tubing... even framed... many modlers would stop after the wiremesh... but not dave!!! what a way to work!!!

Viktor von Domm wrote:the promlem with this work here is the following needed sanding... which is a bugger with GS...i think for that job milliput or some kneadadite would have been better?

It's very true, but as I've discovered recently, polishing GS with my good new Dremel 300 is very easy and effective. I've used the fine sanding drum first and felt polishing wheel second. The result was quite impressive.

Thanks man, I'll give it a fine-tune sanding still (get the bits that hid from me until now), and then re-prime again.

If you left off the Mesh and Tube detailing the rest would be easily moldable for making multiple casts of the "main" body of the machine.

How would you cast the grill and Compression cooler tubing?

Can you?

Does it need to be done seperately for each machine?

Wow, I need one of these......

I think It might have to be done separately for each machine. (I don't think the mesh covering over the tubing would come out right from casting... Ever... In any material... It's just too thin.)

Not sure about the compressor tube. That might be doable, just not the mesh.

Well, that was the period of my childhood and my grandma cooked this soup often... You already knows the reason why
The spaghetti were made from the flour of a very low quality, so eating it was close to impossible. But with milk it wasn't that bad. Actually, it was rather tasty.
Oh, I remember those times - my grandpa had to stand in queues for hours in order to get some food. I remember once he accidently broke a package of ten eggs just in front of our flat's door... My father found him sitting on the stairs crying. And grandma grabbed the scoop to collect the broken eggs from the flor of the staircase... Yes, we ate those eggs afterwards.
Man, despite the jokes and all that horrid things we like to talk about modern Russia, it's actually an awesome place in comparison with what it was, say, 20 years ago.

milk soup with noodles or rice... my kids love it... it gives me the wind and that´s why it is seldom on the kitchen table... sweet dish by the way... dave you confuse it with a hearty meal... haven´t you ever heard of milk rice?...more like a dessert to me than an actual meal...

The Necromunda Project: Fallout @ 2012/03/09 19:46:19

Post by: dsteingass

Yeah, milk and rice sure, but the word "soup" is what made me think of a hearty meal.

Like the British, they call gak "pudding" that really isn't pudding at all

The Necromunda Project: Fallout @ 2012/03/09 19:56:14

Post by: RSJake

Absolutely!

To me, this is pudding!

But to the British, a pudding can have MEAT in it! I mean WHAT????

But to me, soup is just soup, I usually have with somehting like a salad, or a snmmich, if I am thinking of a HEARTY soup, I'm thinking Stew, or Goulash....but that's just me.

Ah, the reforger exercises. I hated rut detail! We still wound up paying for the tire ruts we left even after trying to fill them back in by hand anytime we went to the "woods" in Germany.

Yes, these images I deal with now as they a part of the FO universe, but as a kid, and even in the Army, these were the images of bad dreams as I saw myself observing the end of all, and living long enough to see it all end like this.

But the Pershings stopped after I got out, and no problem Vik, we were the only guys over there whose job it was to actually NOT want to launch the weapons. We knew if that happened, it was Game Over for everyone!

Sorry going of track but a couple of pointers , black pudding is pigs blood congealed and some other stuff also a white pudding but contains oats, sausage shaped ate with fry ups. steak pudding is a suet based case mixed with flour (however a pudding is made using the same process minus the meat)

Yorkshire pudding is a batter mix but can be used for sweet or savoury or with sausages mixed in known as toad in the hole, as for steak pudding and pork pie being the same they are very different things, I should know love steak pudding and worked in a pork pie factory.

Steak pudding has as said suet based shell and chunks of steak with a gravy inside, pork pie has a pastry shell with a cold meat inside very different.

As for the cold war it was propaganda to keep politicians around the world in jobs

In response to being lied to by those I was supposed to trust, I have become a humanist first and foremost.

Don't even bother about this, dude... Propaganda never speaks truth, whatever language it speaks.
The Soviet propaganda was mostly about the "right" way of lifestyle, where the USA was an example of the "wrong" lifestyle... Which ironically had a reverse effect: A lot of Soviet people weren't afraid of USA and did not hated it. In the minds of simple Soviet comrades it was like an etalon of forbidden and wonderfull life, of freedom and dream, where the fancy people rides fancy cars, walks among the fancy skyscrapers and listen to fancy jazz in fancy restaraunts... Well, you got the idea. This image were drawn mostly by the classic movies of the golden age of Hollywood, which started to appear in Soviet film distribution in the years of Khrushchev Thaw.
With Rock'n'Roll music, jeans and other stuff slowly leaking into USSR the popularity of USA amongst youngsters grown even more. Of course authorities heavily reproved this and you even could have been thrown out of the University for walking around in the jeans... Which naturally made it all even more popular. I suppose it was a rather bizarre time...
Good I have been living in USSR only for only seven years

I am filling cracks and smoothing out the bent plastic pieces where my pliers kinked it when bending Hazzer. It's hard to see them, that is why I keep priming it white with the AB after each filling/sanding phase.

It looks like I got all the cracks, now just one more final smooth sanding to get any remaining chunkiness and then paint.

Well, if you are attempting to reproduce the look of the 50's automotive design, smoothness is kind of part of the look. I have always been fascinated by autobody work anyways, but I have never had the opportunity to learn it IRL. This is a fun experiment, the real thing needs lots of sanding too

That is no mere refrigerator friend! that there is a very special and awesome Nuka-Cola Cooler! On the hottest of days that cooler will keep those Nuka-Colas and your Nuka-Quantums ice cold and refreshing! Not all locations have such a glorious Nuka-Cola Cooler at them, so these are special machines indeed! they do a more efficient job than the grocers chill boxes, and a Nuka-Cola kept in the Cooler will stabilize as the isotopes in Nuka-Cola are slowed due to the super-duper freezing of the bottles! That's right, watch that frosty sheen melt as you pull that great Nuka-Cola up to your lips for a drink! enjoy!

That Nuka-Cola vending machine is a wonderful piece of terrain, Dave!

OK you have convinced me that your intense gaming involvement has paid of in producing a stunning piece of terrain …….. Although updates have suffered

But I can only imagine that we will see more influenced terrain from your on going adventure

The cola machine has turned out amazingly I have to admit and works great with the snack machine (which still needs empty snack packets around it

Just down the stairs (from the roof) in a closet right off the dining area is a broken robot, loot the battery from the robot.

It's a common fission battery, which you are probably not carrying to save weight . Save any Cameras, whiskey, or batteries you get (stash them in a box somewhere) you'll need them for quests later on

Love your vending machines, not just because they are technically well executed, but mainly because making something as useless in gameterms as a vending machine creates that depth and credibility that goes way beyond mere gaming terrain.

The Necromunda Project: Fallout @ 2012/03/12 14:33:39

Post by: dsteingass

Thanks Baiyuan!
Like I said, in game-terms, it functions the same as a scrap of corrugated cardboard does, it's just a piece of cover!

Of course there are always house Rules for added functionality if you want! Also, as joked, it could be something to fight over too if one got bored of fighting over crates and barrels.

I only did these because my blog readers requested them.

No sunset sasprilla? or the plastic stars you get from getting the bottle caps? Kinda makes me a little on the sad side. But then again the table and the machines are looking great. What else do you have planned? maybe some deathclaws? Man your table just makes me want to play that game now. No fair if you ask me. Are you going to cast some up? and maybe sell them on ebay maybe? I could use some machines for objective markers.

The food sanitizer in Fallout 3 has a passive effect on the player as long as it is in the player's inventory. While in the player's inventory, the food sanitizer will increase the HP value of food by 20%. The food sanitizer has no effect on the radiation rating of the food.

Within the underhive... I think you're less likely to see a water treatment plant as some kind of toxic waste disposal or processing plant.

Garbage compactor ala Star Wars A New Hope.

Could be fun and have special rules made up for it.

hey...what about a gas station? well basically any means to fill up your ruined looking vehicles? you wanted to make some cars you mentioned earlier...

also some market stalls that would look good on some more open spaces too...

i see how that would look interesting... but you have to see that this is inside a starship... dave´s terrain is mostly outside stuff.... so how to realize this in the open...hmmm... now that i think about it:

Apparently Marx made soeme cheap plastic cars called "Cars of the future" in perfect O gauge. They look just like the cars littering the wasteland Of course, they can't even be found on ebay anymore.

Definately check out all 7 pages of this craftsman's thread. I'm particularly keen on keeping an eye out for cheap plastic cattle from now on to make some Brahmin

Can you read that auction, and tell me the measurements if they are listed?

If it is the right size, it needs to be a Nuka Cola Truck!

That is just 200yrs of sun baking and fade out. In a hive the red would last longer, maybe some rust showing through in patches, after all, things were built to last!

I would like to see an abandoned washing machine or other white goods how about some kind of shutter front buildings like ram-shackled stores that kind of thing.

I think I have seen one of those cars in the front window of the charity shop I will check tomorrow when I get my lotto ticket

This one would make a good Corvega Conversion yes? Add the Atomic cooling tower/scoop in the back, enlarge the fins? If you zoom, it even has the V on the hood (bonnet for you silly english types)
