Well, if it's biological, it could perhaps belong to some 'nids at a stretch, or some other foul xenos, or genetically modified from an indigenous species on some far-flung colony, or chaos...or perhaps it's the 40k equivalent of a D&D mimic I seem to recall I had a penchant for trapping outhouses or stalls in several games I GM'd.
If it's more mechanical in design then it could go Chaos way....
There's a variety of interesting sub-paths that could be taken with the basic premise.
Finally figured out why the necrons are so angry....no waste port in their bodies. They've been plugged up for millennia, and I though constipation was bad. .
that avengers cake is so freaking awesome... also... with all cakes, your wife does an amazing brilliant colour range... such vibrant colours!!!
the play set was probably a pain to build...tho looks brilliant!...I bet your kid has a lot of fun with it...was the birthday already or is about to happen? and is the play set a present? if so, how did he react when that present is already built and not wrapped in gift packaging? does he accept it as a birthday gift?
the recycling plant is a nice interpretation of the comps theme... looking forward how you go from there...
Hey,
Thanks chaps. Little dude's birthday was Thursday, party today. He happily unwrapped a wee playmobil fire car and police keep, then was blown away when we opened the curtains (I'd moved it out into the garden the night before and wrapped balloons round at 6am).
Still pretty down, lurking mostly here, trying to get my gamer mojo back.
Speaking of which, started adding more crud:
Microtube caps for detailing and those infuriating plastic toy tethers for walkways (will hold metal mini weight, ork for illustration!)
Thinking some cable tidies for pipework next. Going to fill in the gaps with pva for slimy "water". Not sure what to do around the edges, just going to keep scavenging.
Wife goes a bit cake crazy - nursery, family, and party. Previous leds include fire engine and optimus. @gits yeah angle doesn't do any favours does it?
I think she outdone herself with this one... it´s perfect cartoon work here... did she do the planning herself or did she got help from the web via a template? I think it´s bloody awesome!
I think while RL might hold slippery stones for us all day, hobby work helps me to get calmer and relax a wee bit... that and the kids...I should rather be doing homeworks but I'd be damned if I let a good Saturday evening go to waste like that...

She really has blown us all away with this one. She used one of the kids' iron man masks and did it by sight. The hulk fist is my hand! Both made from rice krispie cake, as is mjolnir.
Yeah, rl a bit sucky. Still, have health, job, 2 cracking kids and a lovely missus.
And beer

I know! My birthday in.a.month wonder what she's planning...
And am.enjoying recycling. Now with pipework
I think zipties for some detailing and fuseblock access ladders!
when I was in my first job I was able to measure 50g of leberwurst...(special greasy meat pasty...) and I was totally precise just by sight and how the material is in your hand... you weigh it and you just know how much you need to cut... it is a talent that comes to you after some time... all hard earned experience... meaning...your wife got a ton of that it seems...
by the way... what LED´s did she use for tinman´s eyes?...could be interesting from a hobby perspective...
well...if lige is still a bit sucky... we´re here to seattalking your day ...
I like your current work on the entry... but it raises some questions... the raised rim... will this be a fence like structure? or wall...or will you build a base for this all and have the rim on ground level and thus the pipes be on ground level too?...
I think the piece needs a big and ugly smoking chimney in the middle... something that father nurgle would be proud of...
also I think the walkways are a tad too narrow...would you agree?...maybe with added railings it could be working better?
Well, to answer your questions: There will be a wall around the edge also, made from plastic kitchen foil holders. I wondered about a smoking chimney or something, but I want it to be a generic (albeit derelict, or at least decrepit) piece. I suspect in the middle will be a hatch.
I'll ask the boss about the LEDs, they have replaceable batteries, which is a winner.
Ahh, fuseblock ladders...I mis-read that as using zipties for access ladders to fuseblock details....made me wonder what scale you were working in then.
Looking beautiful as always graven.....the models are nice too .
Are those puppetwars missile launchers? I thought you had big trouble with their stuff. I really want to order some models from them, but I'm afraid they will come ruined before I can even mess them up.
Nice work on the tanks and Simulacra.
The tracks look a bit too similar in colour to the rest of the tank, are you going to be doing more with them? Might just be the lighting in the photo...?
Nice work on the waste recycling project. Is that wall a section of skirting-board?

Aw shucks They are, and I did. There was an insane amount of milliput, gs, drilling, pinning, sanding and swearing required. But they look purdy.

1) They are darker but I think they need to be further muddied, liberal application of VJ smokey ink required, I think.
2) Thanks. It is a bacofoil easycut carton, one side of. The rest of it's proving very sticky (labels) so getting it cleaned up just now.

So I've not made masses of progress. Wondering what to turn my attentions to off the back of these: wondering about resurrecting/finishing off the rest of my SoB tanks
Spoiler:
eg
Have discovered Cartoon HD, a movie app, and so the wife and I are finally catching up on movies that we've missed, Robocop and Looper so far this week. Trying to get out of our rut generally, enjoying movies and time together rather than being distracted by phones/tablets etc.
Still, she's out on Saturday night, so I'm going to make a push on... something. As mentioned, possibly SoB tanks? Some building work on the terrain, obviously, although after the outer walls it's just the doors and detailing on them (no idea what the doors will be made of yet. Clearly, I need more rubbish. Also sitting on my table are the Orks from the band and the Ordo Astartes warband. Or I could distract myself further and build a wee Hereticus warband instead for the wife of the guy who I did the Xenos band for (she wants a female/fire themed band).
Your thoughts appreciated as always! Thanks for all the support in getting me out of my deep blue funk, it's really helped - muchas gracias, and so forth,
graven
What, the stone? Prime grey or black and then.paint grey, vj smoke ink into all the shadows, drybrush progressively lighter grey then ivory.
I need to chop the flamer barrels off the metal gunners and replace with melta (plastic rod time!). One needs a top hatch as the outer right tank is staying modular as exorcist/repressor /command tank.
Cheers chaps. Decided to muddy the chimera a bit more:
Didn't get much else, chilling with my boys, watching "star wars snow"(empire) at the request of the little dude. Added purple to the tanks:
Really good quality time with family and friends. Makes all the difference.
Here's a question. I don't use the clips from my RoB: does that make them waste, and therefore fair game for using on the league project?
Ah right. There's no rule against using kit pieces in your entry.
There are extra points for using non-kit pieces over kit pieces. My interpretation of that is that kit pieces are the bits that make up a model in a visual sense and incorporate details "in scale".
The clips, as I see them, are functional, but don't add to the look of the model (in this case the RoB board) and I would say they are non-kit or waste as they are being used for a purpose other than that they are intended.
Dr H hit the nail on the head. There is nothing against using kits, in fact you could make an entry using nothing but, say the imperial sector set. But it would carry less points and favour than if you scratch it from misc. parts. Also as far as I know no one actually does a toilet model, bar us lunatics on dakka.
The idea is to encourage people to recycle or repurpose materials and to have a go at scratch building. For a start it is cheaper, then there is the obvious skill used compared to buying a kit and making it.
The clips are a perfect piece of kit to be repurposed in your entry, and I look forward to seeing more work on it soon.
Some day graven... you and I are going to find ourselves at the same place at the same time and we're going to have the BEST 40k game ever! Great work on the tanks. You get the rest of those to look like that chimera and you'll really have a spectacular looking mechanized force!

Apologies for cruddy pic, last lot of turq-on-a-tank:
And here are the clips:
TBH, I have no idea what to use them for!
Spent a chunk of time making new melta barrels for the immolators out of styrene rods left over from caking; decided they were too thick :( going to try a balloon stick next. Not going to be able to cut horizontal grooves in that, though, so might try just freehanding them!

Good job on that WizKids.
Tho FFG did the solid job on the star wars ones.
By and large, they're not too bad. The battleship could be a little bigger, and jem fighter's definitely too large, but most of the ships were fine up until voyager tos enterprise is tiny!
The Borg, however, are pretty crazy broken. Still, I really like the dominion ships and I am a sucker for ds9 stuff generally *shrug*.

I bet that's what Dr H's predator is saying Now here's a question: could I make one of these:
Out of a necron scarab? The official game on is way too big. I have the cards, so could use it as a playable ship in game...
So polished off the Dialogus, but not happy with it. I feel that generally my painting's taken a dip of late. This is at least in part because of suffering from cramps and other pain in my right hand and wrist, which is at times causing it to lock up completely. As a result, I feel like I'm having to take short cuts and rush things, or just work around the pain. Yes, I appreciate I should go and get it looked at.
Anyway, that's been a major factor as to why I've not been working on the Orks etc - I want to do them justice - and why stuff has slowed also.
I expect you write a lot with your hand...aka handwriting... it is to be expected... which is a bummer....and I also suggest to pay a visit to your doc of your trust... this sounds not good... might be several reasons and all that I could come up with are graven... Yeah, hand and wrist injuries tend to affect P&M stuff....does sound similar to some RSI issues I had a few years back from spending long hours with my hand on a mouse. Supports, rest and getting it checked out for any underlying causes are the way forward....but I expect that's not news to you
So many awesome tanks! they are so different with the way you re-design them into your own view of what you want to see trundling through the battlefields defending humanity! loving the colours too, looks really complimentary together!

Sorry about the job.. Maybe you should move here to.. ummmm. Wisconson.. yeah. great weather ( for 1/2 of the year ) and the friendlyist of people. We could occasionaly maybe get in a few ... say games.... or such.
Believe me, the wife and I have talked about it on more than one occasion. If we were to emigrate anywhere, tbh, NZ would be most likely as it's relatively easy to switch into their school system for both the kids and me, and as a medical professional her likewise.
But not going to happen any time soon, alas.
Anyhoo, had a great night with my buddies, getting some extra odds and sods for my Dominion fleet (and the Lego Ecto-1, whee!).
I took a couple of pics of our game:
So me in the corner with a Jem'hadar battleship under Dukat and Gor Portas (Breen Warship) uprated to Flagship status and full of Breen. Up against a tricked out Voyager and Equinox, 2 lots of Klingons, and a Romulan stealth swarm.
Mostly, the Klingons went after the Feds and I tried not to get outmaneuvered by Roms (one of our local TOs, metropolis).
Learned a lot, really enjoyed it, as did the other newb purple_snap (wearing the reverse flash T) playing Klingons.
We ended up piling into the Romulans, and a good time was had by all. The fact that in casual play locally folk stick to single faction adds to the enjoyment: it's clear there are some preposterous combos. Funnily, it reminds me of Warmahordes in some ways - it's almost a card game with models. However, the maneuver side of the game is really interesting, highly tactical, and very very entertaining. More will follow, I suspect.
personally me and my family have talked about getting away from Germany , but each discussion always makes us shy away from a final decision...it´s dull here but mostly secure...and that counts for a lot on most days to be honest...
cool...the game looks fun and I bet there is lots of cinematic brain theatre (kopf kino...in german)... going on ...
yesterday my son felix and I had a game of felix/ lego hammer... we took some handfuls of lego star wars minis and played a game after rules of our own design... lots of fun for the both of us...and I am rather proud of my son for coming up with that idea on his own...
The Star Trek game looks ace and reminds me a wee bit of X-Wing. It would be nice to see how the 2 game mechanics match up against each other. And the mat you used for the game looks really cool, where did you get it from??
I take ti you are the one behind the camera and not the guy on the phone beside reverse flash??
Yellowbeard has the Star wars game..He keeps prompting to get in a game. Lots of folks have switched from playing 40k to these games. I'm guessing due to cost.
Ok.. the offer is always open. Wisconson ( it only snows half of the year)!! Did I mention we both like cake?

Intresting, but too small of a land mass. Hope to be visiting the big Island in a few years at least. It's been 4 years since I got back there. I hope to hit the nothern part next trip. I'll consider luring Graven on the plane with sweets and beer! The rest of his family with money!

Too small a land mass? How much stuff would you be bringing over with you SL?
X-wing and Star Fleet both look a lot of fun - just like flying spaceships around the bedroom shouting pew-pew at your mates (Which, yes, I know is basically the premise behind all our wargaming shenanigans )
Are there rules for things such as asteroids, the mutara nebula and tholian webs?
Don't know about the Star Trek rules, but here's rules or asteroids in x-wing. I think there's planets in Star Trek, since the ships are a larger scale.

That star trek game is giving me a nerd-attack just looking at it.
monkeytroll wrote: Too small a land mass? How much stuff would you be bringing over with you SL?
Not as much about stuff as it is space to roam. I have all the 10 acres a man can mow. I can always go someplace I've never been! Just going to Gits house is a short 3 hr hop. (in my pick'em up truk – won’t fit on your roads as well) ), Endless opportunity. Fresh air, snow, more snow, damn more snow! Only set back (in my local area) is a lack of cool Dakka folks to game with and someone to keep our American bellys full of cake!
you guys are proper crazy. I love you all. In a rude way.
Trek is licensed by WizKids from FFG. Basically the same game. The major difference is Trek has ostensibly more variety in terms of factions. Scale is a bit off (I'll be making some jem'hadar attack ships out of scarabs), romulans are a bit weak but other factions pretty balanced except for Borg who, sadly, are ridiculous.
Tholian web is a scenario tournament. As is often the way with WizKids, their prize support is a bit crazy and there's a lot of creep.
BUT the game play is excellent. It's a capital ship maneuver game followed by brutal combat. Wars, as a fighter level game, more about maneuver and formations - precision strikes against light targets.

That's cause you're thinking on the wrong scale SL. You say roam, but you mean drive Over here when we roam, we really roam, we wander, we walk, we experience
However, you will have to live in a house the size of your dining room, with a yard that is pretty much a square yard of land
Cause it's such a big place you have to drive, Other wise you have to camp on the way to to store and camp on the way back.
You gotta have more land so you can build things your neighbor's hate to look at everyday of their lives, or will take you along time to do with loud power equipment; so you have to start real early in the morning or way into the wee hrs of the night!
You have to have space for you boat, truck, snowmobiles, ATV's Jet skies, tractor, riding lawnmower, Classic muscle car, motorcycles ( both off road and on ). You know the essentials!

yesterday my son felix and I had a game of felix/ lego hammer... we took some handfuls of lego star wars minis and played a game after rules of our own design... lots of fun for the both of us...and I am rather proud of my son for coming up with that idea on his own...
Move here vik, you can move into my basement for the time being, think of all the fun we'll have spelunking for minis. And our kids could hang out too . No time limit on the offer. My wife might have something to say, but we'll win her over. Plus I could practice my terribad German again .

*cough* NZ FTW *cough* the major downside to NZ is:
1 - takes fricken ages to get here from anywhere (yes even a four hour flight from our neighbour Aussie
2 - Cost of 40k is something stupid
3 - none of the wild life is out to kill you, oh wait that's not a downside
4 - I'm here

Aw thanks you lot. It's actually this coming Tuesday but because Tuesdays are gaming night my usual crowd celebrated it with me Tuesday just there.
The fact that I have another job interview the same day only adds to the masochistic fun (I clearly have a deldar streak )
Left to right:
jem'hadar battleship, jem'hadar attack ships, cardassian galor warships, and then top to bottom cardassian Hideki fighters, breen warship, cardassian keldon.warship.
Yeah, Trek homage to Wars - awesome So, a glowy ship for them: The peg goes into a completely blue section, which is supposed to be the navigational deflector, so I tidied that up a bit:
Bit blurry on this, sorry:
I still think for scale cron scarabs would be good... Very blurry (pesky macro settings) but wanted to show the extensive engine repaint:
And the battleship, which I'm really happy with: And on its lovely black flagship stand too
I'll put pics of the Cardies later, I'm going to try to a side-by-side with un-repainted so you can see the difference.
And the Order of Azure Robe (cos order of the Blue Robe sounds dumb), which meant freehanding (eek) ankhs.
The old faithful Chimera:
And the whole lot of them (just before the other exorcist lost its left launcher )
Individual pics to follow, work calls!
Oh, alright, quickly now: 2 Immolators:

And one exorcist:
And the other (3rd one fell over):
Interior shot: and command mode!
Also - had great game of Talisman with the wife and kids yesterday. Got hosed!
George Lucas was pleased that after many years, he got to be part of Star Trek, His special effects groups worked on ST: TNG, ST: DS9, ST: Voyager and Enterprise.Plus the movies up until they got the trek reboot with JJ Abrams
Maybe even then they got a slice of that pie too
Tanks are looking great , my aunt who's a nun (just yesterday celebrated 60 years of service), would be very proud to drive one of hose shrines into battle.
Thank y'all kindly. The order of the Azure Robe specifically are more shriney than others, working for =][= out of the convent on Terra, so should be a bit more ott I reckon.

Hey gang, so I'm back, and have just been chilling the last few days.
Here's some holiday highlights - we were down in the borders, and of note visited Dino Park:
That's not going to end well...
Threave Castle
Caerlaverock Castle...
... and grounds
And inside a Vulcan Bomber (which my wife insists on calling a Vulture ) at Solway Aviation museum
Was checking I'd successfully managed to share pics from Fb.
In more general mutterings, having if not a hobby break, then a refocus - tiny ships going pewpewpew have distracted me delightfully, and I'm playing another game tonight (along with some Boss Monster, the card game of end-of-level 8-bit glory!)
I'm resigned to not finishing the waste dump of waste - having the kids over the summer means I've very little time other than projects with them (expect a Trebuchet!) I am going to try to get back to my sisters/orks though, hand as cramps are much better generally (according to a mate who's an orthopedic hand and wrist surgeon, they're nothing serious, I just need to take it easy - it's writing on a board all day that does it). So it's about priorities at that point; I'm not feeling the love on the waste dump really, so I'm just going to draw a line under it rather than getting down about another unfinished project.
Other than that, feeling pretty chipper all round - catching up with friends this week, mostly. Will try to get some pics of tonight's tiny spaceship action!

One of the best spots I hit last time I was in GB was Warwick. Thou it's a castle that has seen multiple upgrades and is a combination of periods it has some buildings and upgrades from early moat and Bailey to Victorian. They also have a working trebuchet.
Hmmm Warwick Castle was definitely better when I was a kid. The Ice House was great although last time I was in the area it was far too expensive for my tastes. Those look a good pair of castles though. When I've been over the border wandering around Kilmartin glen and clambering inside the Neolithic tombs was great fun.
Hi mate! Happy belated Bday! Glad to hear you had a good one!

Thanks mucker!
So I had a great night last night.
I got completely monstered by the borg, although it was a lot of fun and only narrowly went against me. I misjudged my suicide run on the borg sphere by 1mm so only managed to lay into with my polaron beam (avoids shields). Although between them 3 jemhadar attack ships seriously dented it, he toasted me. By his own admission though, it was seriously close and had he been running a drone based sphere I'd have also had him (jemhadar are anti-crew). The borg are scarily nasty, but not unstoppable if you approach them right - also, I hadn't specifically meta'd vs Borg, so was really happy with how I coped.
We also played last night on earth - zombie survivor game - playing as the hero team, my borg buddy's wife and I won versus the zombies. Then, a game of Boss Monster, the card game of 8-bit dungeon building which is insanely good fun.
will you use then the kit... there is a modelling range around that produces kits that are designed to look like da vincis builds...if you remember I built a da vinci LoeR monument out of the Vitruvian man...I think their stuff has quite a good quality...
and that reflex should be avoided...tho...do you do that avoiding actively or passive?
and... when you play these games... does your wife join in or is she keeping an eye out for your kids or who watches them then?... I bet that this is quite the fun to have the chance to play such games...
Tis the national gallery's wooden kit we are building, though didn't get started as planned as I had to go and get new sunglasses and spare pair (there goes thisi month's hobby budget )
Less said about reflex the better I usually game at our local weekly club, G3 (Glasgow Gamers Group), with a core of half a dozen friends from the 50 or so regulars. Most of us are married, but only one of the wives is a gamer. The two of us who have kids have tolerant womenfolks as mine says, I'm intolerable if I don't get my boys night out!
Cheers mate! Fleet has now expanded with promo Breen Ship and may have accidentally just got the attack ship from the collective OP from eBay for a steal. Oops. Well, there's only one other dominion ship due this year anyway...
So having a chilled day with my big boy today. We're going to make a pirate ship, and possibly that catapult, although he's all transformed up at the moment having seen #4 yesterday (not bad, too long, some great bits and nice nods). Also, I started building up his future: traded off my various orks and csm (which I'll never, ever use) for 30 SW, 7 SW termies, various characters, a LRC, a pred, a HB Razor and a Typhoon. I'm resigned to that fact that small boys always love giant super death men so I'm gradually building them up a sizeable force.
Enjoying my holidays. Not doing much, tbh, just relaxed. Off to my folks for a few days, and then back for the Commonwealth games. Am liking building fleets for STAW: it appeals to my CCG head a little bit, and variety is a good thing.
Not for me, you understand smacks of jumping on bandwagon, doesn't it? They've been moved to the garage into the big box of SM. There's a vindicator in the SW stuff also, and I have sprues upon sprues of SM, scouts, bikes etc. 2 SM armies, essentially, for them to play with. Oh, and it's a LRR, not a LRC. Shucks.
I also got, as part of the deal, about a dozen Steel Legion, including 2 GLs and 2 plasmas, a captain, a rocket team and a couple of what look like heavy bolter gunners if anyone's interested? Dibs here first for reasonable cash monies or trade to boost the boys' legions.
If you dont already have the rulebook, are you getting StormClaw, will net you a small rulebook a campaign book to get him started and a few SW's and orks for fun. I am sure the grots could come in usefu for some konvershuns!
And welcome back, its been quiet around here without ya!!

Well, D's only 6 1/2, and though a smart cookie, I'm not going down the road yet. I know gitsplitta started his boys off a 9 & 6, so that's my vague plan - although I am seriously thinking about writing a simple rules set: 40Kidz, as it were. Just use a handful of marines to introduce the basic mechanics of movement (you can stand still and shoot, move 6" and shoot, or run twice this far and attack if you reach him), shooting (you need a total of 7 to hit, if he's in range of this stick), assaulting (roll a better total than him) and saving (3+, they're SM). They can both handle Talisman (bearing in mind that J's only 4), so this should be feasible.
Yggdrasil wrote:Yeah yeah I had got it !
LRR has its uses too, I'm sure
As for Steel Legion, models are nice, but I now steer clear off metal models... Too bad, for I could have been interested...
Tres bien LRR is a big tank. What more could a kid want? And hey, if he does get playing, that's at least £50 I've just saved myself.

Great to see the young'uns soaking up some of their country's rich history.
Tbh, sadly, I think I might offload my sisters. Whilst they're a self-contained force, I have (a) too much stuff and (b) no £$. Also, their resale value is still high.

Shifted a lot last night: Mentor Legion Mk7s to a mate who's been a fan of them for a while, Storm Eagle, the Baneblade, old Void sprues, the Valk, couple of beaten up tanks, Dark Sword Game of Thrones minis - a good bunch gone. Donated scenery to my local club. On another note, got a late birthday present from one of my gang:

Yup, I'm back, after a fashion at least. Started working on the lovely minis from Mansions of Madness and the Forbidden Alchemy expansion:
Some mould lines to remove on the critters, and a wee bit of gs required on the bigger ones.
Frustratingly, quite a few mould lines on the investigator. Easily cleaned, but still, may be noticeable. Much better hidden in the monsters.
Next, to prime them. I'd like to do something to the bases, wood might work, but the different rooms kind of demand different surfaces. Or should they just be left blank?

Prime them yellow (how apropos), then a brown wash. Then paint them. Try this on a test first. A friend did this with his MYTH minis and they look good.
Oh, by the way, which one is Whately?
I noted 2 mentions of a certain name. Please don't let there be a third.

Yeah, or a rich red, that's always good for cultists, I guess. I use Gothic Horror for creative writing in S2 (12/13) - any excuse!

interesting collection of miniatures there. Look forward to more.
Indeed. But let's get these done first. If I behave myself I might get call of the wild expansion for Xmas. I also have Talisman minis to do

Okay, so a little proof of concept test. I like the idea of wooden floorboards, but gs isn't going to work as I'd need to detach the investigators and they're very fragile. So then I had the idea to exploit the softness of the plastic generally, and had this idea: All I've done is scored the base; simple, quick and I think effective. From there, I can detail accordingly (I don't think nail holes/marks are necessary), maybe adding rubble, esoterica, the odd (very odd) tentacle... Your thoughts? Carving along, graven
brilliant idea to carve the floor boards directly on the base...one has to wonder why not anyone else does it that way????... works for me...now let is see some paint and we can decide of this is truly the way to go...
and using Cthulu for creative writing......cheesy^^

Well the bases are smooth, unlike the texture of gw bases, and relatively soft. I'll need to get some primer on but want to do a couple more, one with a loose board, one for a monster. I am really tempted to carve an elder sign into one discreetly.
As for the writing, I use various mythos authors - much as I love HPL, his prose is very dense. Then again, I also show them The Simpsons version of 'The Raven'

Thanks mate!
So the theory is to do all of the investigators with plain floorboards and accesorise as I go. Hence the loose board test (which may come with a tentacular extra).
I need to hunt through bits boxes for suitable accessories - I'm sure I've got some of Black Cat Bases excellent extras somewhere. Any suggestions for suitable objects to highlight either investigator or monster bases?
Well, the usual suspects would include candles, lanterns, quills, parchments, books, rune-stones, maybe the odd magnifying glass or bit of medical equipment....
Cats, rats and assorted insects could be useful. Bottles of booze or pharmaceuticals that the investigators use to keep the madness at bay? Ancient wood/stone carvings and idols.
