If I can clear it with "she who must be obeyed” I’ve been thinking about popping down to WHW on the 30th Dec to play test the Blitzkrieg/ Dog fight rules with my son, would anyone else be interested?

I'm into the second part of betrayal, i think its the best heresy book yet! Unfortunately my world eaters are concluded so it will be very yellow when painted! Was always the idea in my head when i daydreamed about it anyway!

Will try to work on the pack this evening so keep your eyes open for an update over the next few days!

Oh man, you’ve hit the jackpot.

I’ve been told that the 30th isn’t the right time to disappear for half a day to play silly games. I need to find another time to do it. I did treat myself to the super canon though!

Campaign Pack has been updated!

All games are now laid out with point details! I've chosen to limit the apocalypse forces to 5000 points for now. This is in order to ensure we don't have a late start building lists on Sunday morning again (my fault probably but its all a learning process). Hopefully its a large enough number to encourage you to field some more epic scale armies. If there is scope and time to organise larger forces it will have to be done before the weekend or on Saturday lunch time to ensure we're ready to go Sunday!

Cast your eyes over them dudes and let me know what you think.

I'll try to get the additional Ork forces ready over the next few days!

I need a couple of people to help me with something scenery wise, pm me please if you think you can assist. (It got to be secret , so pm's only!)

Waaagh!

May I just say that the Ullanor Campaign sounds like its gonna be epic. I'm not available that weekend myself (busy doing stuff for Salute) and, even if I were, my Heresy Era Ashigaru/Samurai IG would be nowhere near ready... Gutted, 'cos it sounds like it'll be fun :(

Waaagh! Urruk takes shape and grows... the WIP Ork update pack is available beneath the Campaign pack on page1

Remember, it's a work in progress, I've put it up now in order to let those that want to make some extra stuff do so as I may not get a chance to add other stuff over the next fortnight!

Some points to remember -

- The points are yet to be decided for the most part.

- Actual weapon load outs for units (Battlekopta/ThundaNobz) will be pretty much the same as the codex but have stuff that is not necessary removed e.g boarding planks or bike options etc etc)

- The battlekopta will not be as fast as a regular flyer (just need to figure out the wording, will be a flyer that moves at tank speeds)

- The battlekopta doesn't need to be a "kopta" it can be a massive plane or a blimp or whatever! As long as it looks like it could be a big old thing and is on a flying base then its fine by me (Please don't just stick battlewagons straight onto flying stands, at least remove the wheels and add repulsors or something)

- Da Warlords are basically Ghazgkhull/Wazdakka etc with different names!

- I'm going to make a Kustom Gargant Table so we can get some REALLY BIG Orky Apocalypse units to help out the diddy stompas! I@ll work on it in the next few weeks... be ready to scratch build!

Any suggestions and stuff please let me know. If you haven't checked the campaign pack yet then please do so and tell me what you reckon!

Scott what’s the score with HQ units with the Orks, the pack says only one per army is that right?

You must be reffering to the Blitzkireg "flyer mission?" Yes one HQ. The other games allow more in line with regular force organisation.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Just checked the Urrlak Pack and i think thats what you mean Nick... it's one HQ from the Codex which is identified as a named character or unique (with a changed name for pre-heresy reasons). You can always take one of these and a standard Warboss or unamed HQ type! I may change it actually as I want Wazdakka and Ghazghkull... or dakkawaz and Kullghazgh... I'll get better names for them before march!

I'm not going to be picky at all really, as long as you use the tempus fugitives lists and characters from the era i don't see their being too much of a problem!

No Luna Wolves as yet... even amongst the TF I think they're rare because they're only available for the earliest era!

Well it's all gone very quiet, I was wondering how everyone is getting on?

My Mega dread is starting to take shape now, I’ve the basic structure built and have gone for the upright Deffila build just need to Ork it up and decide on the pose and how much Dakka to add.

My bastion is also progressing well, just need to finish off the rivets and add some gliffs.
I have also managed to pick up a load of extra Nobz on e-bay, to help take on those annoying Terminators.
I’ll try and post some pictures of the progress.

Hi guys,

I'll be joining in with the AotE campaign in March. I'll be bringing Squats (counting as Imperial Guard) with pre-heresy World Eaters as allies, to boost my army up to 5,000pts for the apocalypse game on day two (and to give me the minimum 50% jump-packs/flyers for game one).

My army features a number of conversions, including a couple of scratchbuilt Overlord Airships (counting as Vendettas) and some of Ramshackle Games' resin tanks which I've modified into artillery pieces - Colossuses and Manticores specifically.

Graham.

Nick that is awesome mate! Definitely needs to be a primork, with the supa gatler!
Well i put the finishing touches on my first 10 storm boyz last night, and started adding colour to the first of my planes, my main aim is to make sure i get at least the blitzkreig 1000pts finished by the end of january (preferably a lot more as well)

Yep, need to sort the Dakka out now, I've already given him 2 skorchas and a pair of Power Klaws.
I'm planning to have a go at scratch building a Mini Gattler to go on the top of it next, if it works out i'll magnetise it so he can still be used as a Mega Dread.
I’ve moved on with bulking out the limbs since the photo so it’s all starting to come together.

The White Scars are featured in the latest Garro tail. They are extremely over-mongolian steroetype accents and when you hear it, very distinctly different and over the top in comparison to Kharns. The best thing is that the same voice actor plays Kharn in the 40k audio story too, continuity is good.

Read Betrayer last month, very good (ADM is awesome) and he describes Kharn with a regular non-bunnyears lid too. I reckon FW will remove them if they get round to a 30k version too.

The current model fine cast painted to a high standard and losing the bare arms and a skull or 2 wouldn't be to far from it.

lol ah the bickering between sides marvelous,

I am just trying to work out if i am actually going to be able to use some of the FW stuff, need to make sure i am only painting stuff i actually need as it were
Trouble is every time i look at a FW model i think 'i need to include that as its awesome' so the army takes on a bit of an odd shape lol
I absolutely have to try and fit the lifta droppa into as many lists as i can, the model is epic and the rules are wonderfully old school ork!

He has a vast 40k army (Salamanders) but I'm not sure how they or he will cope with the change to AOTE.
I feel a little undecided about him not using the correct marks of armour, so I might split my Orks with him with a painting push we should have 10k plus points to choose from.
What are people’s thoughts on the matter?

I & Matt wouldnt have any issue with it - there dont have proven mettle rules (scott can correct me if i am wrong) for unit with the "correct" armour anymore. All my WE are mostly anvil bodies and parts from other suppliers

plus of all the legions salamanders would be the most up to date & look at Kharn above, his in MK7 armour...

Anyhow that my thoughts

It wouldn't bother me at all. As long as they are (which they are) a first founding legion I'm not going to push anybody to field FW etc. If I played Imperial fists I'de be using almost exclusively 40k mk armour and most of my World Eaters are taken from the plastic assault squad kits anyway. As long as you can fit them into the AotE force org and squads etc then I can't see it being an issue mate.

Cool, that’s something to consider then, typically though the Salamanders are the only chapter in the AOTE expansion who haven’t had their section updated.

Im open to the idea if you paint of the curly slaanesh symbols! Mainly because i have okay'd a mix of fw rules with the tf flyers for others! Maybe check the rules for the imperial fighters and see if there is anything you can use to 'count as' such as thunderbolts etc with similar autocannon load outs rather than using the hellblade stats! Also, since you have an awesome storm eagle, you won't be looking at a massive amount of points to make the minimum anywho! Remember also that if you choose to take da allies for later on, you can use them and their shiny newness as well as existing skimmers to make up any potential short fall!

There is a rumour that next months white dwarf will feature the rules for flyers that were recently published in the crusade of fire book. If this turns out to be true and if they are any good we may incorporate them into the flyer game for Ullanor. It won't change the mission in any way just add an extra element to it. If they're rubbish rules we won't use them. Its only a rumour though i thought i'd put it out there to see if anybody has any experience with them yet?

- Received this truly lovely post on the Tempus Fugitives Forum today... can you tell this dude has his own event to promote at TTN?

Yeah least it isn't just a word document anymore, games workshop might be a bit angry for the usage of there codex borders though, you might need to contact them about that, they dislike their IP being used, did they allow you to use their pictures as well? Gotta make sure that's covered.

It'd be nice if you didn't repeat the picture on the front cover with the one AS SOON AS YOU OPEN IT, try a different one, i'm sure there are others from the same era, plus if you are using GW IP them i'm sure that there are plenty in their books to use.

The blitzkrieg rules forcing people to take 50% seems rather unjust, what if people don't want Rough Riders or Jump Packers? and want pure infantry, they can't play that game?

Also I take is Maunsfeld Games is just Mansfield Games under a new name right, so same place, same dodgey company ect?

Why are you using Stuarts AOTE rules? don't you think this is a bit unfair to then? I know he said you could but I mean, you said yourself you didn't want to piggy back of the success which is the Tempus Fugitives yet you're using there rules and basically holding their event, inviting their members...

- My reply!

Do me a favour! Hows about you don't come on here and belittle and pick on everything I am attempting to do! I'm sure I could go onto your thread and pick holes in your plans etc, but I don't!

Your attitude distinctly comes across as, "lets rip it apart on the forum so that people don't go... as I've got my event to promote, I'll pull his apart!" Stick to promoting your event. Some of your previous comments I took on board and appreciated but you've gone beyond helpful advice to straight up slagging!

I asked Stu, many many months ago if I could use the TF rules to host an AotE weekend for those of use who can't travel to TTN or make the TF schedule! He said he was more than happy for us to do so as the rules are there for everybody to use, that is why they are free to download and view at everybody's leisure. Most of the TF members agreed on a previous thread that it was in no way demeaing to the TF or to Stu for people to use his exemplary work at events, as that is why he goes to those lengths! What you are suggesting is laughable... surely simply by hosting a standard 40k event we all PIGGY BACK Games Workshop!

Do me a favour f*** off back to Armageddon and crawl under the rock you came from!

- Does anybody have any thoughts on this that they'd like to share?

Its been one of those totally demoralising days... Things had been going far to well for the Ullanor weekend something was bound to slap me in the face!

As a short term measure i've taken the campaign pack down as it is quite plausible that this dude will bubble us to gw. I will make an effort to ask them whether they have issues in this regard. If so we'll get a fresh pack up in the next week or so.

If you didn't get to see James's awesome work i can only apologise... It was so many levels above my efforts it made me weep to behold such awesomsauce! May be one of the reasons the dude has taken a dislike to our efforts as i imagine James's work was also a long way ahead of theirs!

Okay chaps, just a quick update on where we stand right now! With some uneccessary and provoked drama earlier in the week and a few chaps, including myself, struggling to get things going i will endeavour to get the Ullanor Crusade back on the track this weekend!

Our venue is running a large tournament this weekend. When they recover from one of their largest annual events we will get tickets on sale next week!

Bitz box will be spomsoring our conversion competition again! Revised rules will allow for 60mm based miniatures to enter too... Primorks and Primarchs are especially welcome! Whats more, they've allowed me access to their blog -the fools, the crazy crazy fools- so i'll be able to reach out to their customers on a more regular basis!

Nukearts are still onboard and will be once again producing an excellent prize for the painting competition! They're pretty much on board everythin that Animosity are hoping to produce and i'd like to help them by putting their name out there even more, their generosity and abilities deserve recognition!

I will endeavour to co-ordinate with voxnetradio over some podcast coverage of Ullanor! The guys are going to try to attend and join the fun so if anybody would like to volunteer to help with the coverage if they make it that would be sweet, it won't be arduous, just soundbite things!

I'm going to start putting my stompa together this week too, yay!

Hey dudes!

I return with some exciting news. As the second event approaches, and I figure out a way to get over and put one over on those people that feel it is necessary to belittle the attempts of others when they are working towards increasing the level of enjoyment we all take from the hobby, I have taken steps!

Initially, whilst the campaign pack in a wip state will be returned to us as soon as possible, eventually it will be a thing of customised, and exclusive beauty... how so?

I have been in discussion with a well known artist from the deviant art site. Well known because his work, whilst as far removed from the stylistic imagery of Warhammer 40k, is easily recognisable and distinctly 40k in its very own niche! The support of this artist will help us to create a Campaign Pack unlike any other and give the Campaign Packs created by Animosity, their own style... his actually.

aerion-the-faithful's work will be instantly recognised by anybody who has spent more than five minutes on the internet searching for anything related to 40k. I think it is a great opportunity for us to work with him, and along with NukeArts and BitzBox we have some awesome contributing support.

Now comes the interesting bit. aerion-the-faithful will be completing 6 images for each pack. Of the six image there will be one full colour front cover and six black and white for the interior. In order to secure his services these commission pieces can be secured by you, if you so wish. Meaning that, if you want to own the 10" x 7" original canvas of the image you can. How do you do this? First, it will cost £30 for one of commissions. This should include postage and all being well I will give you the piece at the next event. If enough people are interested we will go forward with this. Should we be left with an image or two that are unaccounted for they will be raffled at the event.

If you are interested in owning the original print, you can have a say in what it contains, to a point. Basically, this time around as the event is pre-heresy and based upon Ullanor, we must have a theme. When the time comes for this offer for the July campaign pack we will be open to many more 40k races and themes. What does this mean? It means if you would like to own a picture that features a stompa you can have a picture with a stompa. If you want a particular Marine chapter, you can have a particular Marine chapter. You tell me what you want, I pass it on to our friend aerion and his artistic interpretation takes the piece forward.

This opportunity will be repeated a few months before each event and the finances all go to creating a great campaign pack. I hope this opportunity excites you guys as much as it does me!

This time around the opportunity is limited as a few pieces have been secured already. Our front cover has been determined, and the first Marine slot has been secured. The remaining slots are available on a first come first served basis should you be interested. I hope so.

PM me if you are and I will get back to you about what you wish to be incoporated as quickly as I can. It is worht bearing in mind that aerion needs details tomorrow, so it is vitally important if you want to get on board that you can PM me as soon as you can. Should there be slots remaining tomorrow I will dictate the subject matter and hope for the best at raffle!

Thanks for taking the time to digest this chaps! I hope it is of interest. The available pieces for input are below as well as a number of selected images from aerion-the-faithful's gallery.

Has been ages since I have been on here, how bad is that!?

I see the next event seems to be coming along nicely. I am trying to get the VoxNet team to come along too and give our support.... Ralph is even busy building an Ork army

Scott man, don't let the haters get to you, just remember their idiots and don't know any better, you should feel sorry for them and their lack of ability to be helpful and actually have an adult conversation. Even Mr T has agreed on this cause as we all know he "pity the fool"

Keep your focus and remember your are creating and building something you and all who join should be proud of... Also stop making me want to spend money!!! ;-)

Hey dudes!

It time to start plugging away at recruitment now so if I repeat myself alot as the thread moves on just ignore me...

I've uploaded the campaign pack minus pics as we wait for our commissioned work to be produced! The rules and game set up etc are the same as previously distributed.

Tickets will go on sale VERY soon... £25 will be the price for attending the Ullanor Crusade!

We still have two black and white images available for people to purchase. One must be a Pre-Heresy Space Marine image (Not Emperors Children) and one must be an Ork piece. If I don't hear back from anybody by tomorrow afternoon (24th Feb) then I will get the images that will suit the pack.

Keep posting on the thread dudes, and remember to spread the good word!

Ta da for now.

Just had a quick re-read of the game pack

Just a couple of points

- failed vector attack with jetpack - Is it intended for NO saves at all?

- cost of the event is stated at £20, i guessing that needs to be altered.

last thing scott - have you got my PM

The failed Vector attack is suppose to be similar to a failed dangerous terrain test, I'm pretty sure you don't get saves for that but if i'm wrong then I'll adjust Vector rule to reflect that.

Yes £25. I need to get that altered.

Yes got your PM, wil forward those details to our friendly artist!

Hi Scott & all,

Just a quick message to let you know that I definitely WILL be coming along to the Ullanor campaign weekender in March (wife-to-be's permission has been granted, though I'm not sure to what ultimate cost!), and that I will be bringing my Squat Guard along with World Eater allies.

I do have a couple of queries regarding army composition, which will help me to decide which models I need to finish off in time for the campaign:

- In game one, I will be using Squats (counts as IG) with WE allies (from the Tempus Fugitives booklet). Am I allowed unlimited units of flyers, jump infantry etc from both my main force and my allies, or would the allies still be limited to one unit each from Elites, Heavy & Fast Attack and two from Troops?

- In the Apocalypse game, once I have filled up my main FOC and allies FOC, an I allowed unlimited units from both main force and allies, or only from my main force?

- Do you require army lists to be submitted before the campaign for checking?

Thanks!

Graham S.

I have pics of the Squats on our blog (search 'Claws and Fists') but I will try and upload some here too text week.

The World Eaters infantry are done (though I may add more Berzerkers/Rampagers and some Assault Terminators) so what I need to work on next are some WE tanks - probably a couple of Land Raider transports and some Predators.

Hey dude.

In game one you can field as many skimmer and flyers etc as you wish from primary or allied detachment. I would still suggest that allies that do not have the required unit types will be limited.

In Apocalypse once you fill the FOC for your Primary force you can take anything as long as it is Imperial!

No requirment for army list checking, only that you bring a copy or two for your opponents to take a peek at before the games.

I can't wait to see this stuff on the tabletop.

Hi Scott,

I'm just planning my various forces for the Ullanor weekender, and I have a couple of queries:

- In the Doubles game (#3), is it 2000pts each, or 2000pts total for the two armies?

- Are IA Aeronautica units allowed? I'm hoping to count my two smaller 'Overlord' airships as Vultures and my larger airship as a Marauder Bomber (specifically for the Apocalypse game on day two).

I'm sure they'll be more questions, but for now that should allow me to get started on my lists. Thanks!

Hey dudes. Is anybody interested in an addition to the first thread showing who is attending in March and what with?

I made a list for Discordia but that went extremely pear shaped as I formulated it on peoples promises and it looked extensive at stages. The only people I'll be adding to this list would be those that have purchased tickets in order to avoid any confusion.

Its just a though, let me know what you think. It could be a short list for a month or so anyway.

Both points are extremely valid! It is one of the reasons i applied names before tickets last time but it gave an unrealistic account of our actual numbers and made planning even more pointless in the long run! gargantuan or regular?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
regular can have kannon, zzap gun or a lobba

gargantuan comes with 2 supa lobbas and 2 twin linked big shootas and can buy upto 4 extra big shootas
and may replace one or both supa lobbas with kilkannon or big zzapa
hope that helps

Well there are always ways to build armies cheaply if you know where to look lol, that data sheet is helpful but still a bit limiting, would be nice to work something out that has more character to it, maybe a special character, commissar, maybe even some altered options for heavy support that could be worked out.
I will try and work out a proper codex listing tomorrow and post it on here and see what you guys think.

Lol well I think mark wanted it to be a horse and cold one style rough rider unit.
Looking at the seige of Vraks book you get the option to have a rough rider command unit with three levels of officer, junior senior and heroic, what would people opinions be on increasing the points cost of the heroic officer and adding a special rule 'allows rough rider/death riders to be taken as a troop choice'
That would then leave you with the standard siege army list from vraks 1,

No objections from me. I think it would look really cool and add to the feel of the weekend, after all we’re playing a bit of a “mish- mash” of 30k/40k rules as it is. Point wise, based on the cost of the equivalent characters, Wazdakka, Kor’sarro Kahn and Sammael ect about 50 points on top of the base cost of the leader to be able to take riders as troops should be fare.

Here is a link to the cool KILL ZONE rules I mentioned in an earlier post.

http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?25052-Special-Operations-Killzone-6th-ed-Beta-available-40k-skirmish-game

There is also a special download for selecting your codex force but I'm not sure that will be necessary.

If you take a look at the pack, let me know what you think and whether we should maybe tweak here or there for our needs before I commit it to the next event pack.

The kill zone game is only one game for that weekend, we will be playing other standard 40k type games as ever. If the logistical issues of Discordia prove to be ironed out for Ullanor, we'll squeeze an Apocalypse game in on the Sunday again if that is what is preferred.

So take a look and be inspired!

Taking a look through the Kill Zone pack and there are a lot of things I will be removing for our purposes as they won't be necessary but if you see anything you like or dislike its open for debate.

I need to trim a lot in order to fit it into a campaign pack so we'll be using the basics and a few special bits but that is all.

Is Kill Zone basically Kill teams but with more rules?

When I played Kill teams, we trended to make it narrative lead, ie 4+ the Gk leaps to the next building to face the Ork Nob (granted has to be in normal movement range to start with).

(Battle of Balaclava might be a good starting point for the RR army. I think we make it a long term project if you got a special event for Nov, the eldar are currently priority still I had them since 15 and still not painted them )

You won't need a new army for november, just a select few dudes! I'll have a word with an associate of mine and see if we can't get some info out in the next week or two! It will be a kill zone derived force but there is a major caveate which will make things extremely interesting!

Yeah, kill zone is kill team with a few extra rules but allows for better and more selective unit choices and conversion opportunities! I'll have an animosity version of the rules in draft form in a week i hope!

I'm thinking of trying to add a massive apoc weekend to our schedule! If anybody has seen the mini-wargaming apocalypticon, think that, only us and not mwg! I'll only be able to do it if we can guartantee interest though so let me know what you think! Will not really be narrative, just good vs evil and huge!

Yeah, that won't be an issue! They is both evil types!

I basically want to try an annual mega massive apocalypse event which means ditching narrative and playing across two days! I've already determined i will be playing imp fists/imp guard/dark angels/flesh tearers (if i get them painted up ever) and if i can ever get it finished, my imperator! So i reckon 15,000 for me if not more!

Will work out a reasonable total for each side and then folks will say, i'm bringing 10k, then I'll take the 10k off the total and so on! I want to aim high and see if we can exceed the mwg total but they do have massive fan base and folks fly across america to pitch in!

Ey up chaps!

I need to focus my attentions on March for a bit. I've had my head in July/November for a week or two and I have realised that I haven't really been pushing attendance properly!

So, to start with, if you know people who want to get to use their expensive FW Betrayal books then get them to join us. If you know people who have pre-heresy or even just first founding chapters who'd like to join in, get them on-board. Anybody with any counts as Custodes or Mechanicum? They can come too! Know any Tempus fugitives who aren't obsessed with Table Top Nation? We'd be happy to see them in March for Ullanor!

Oh yeah, and all those Orks players out there, you need nothing special, just your greenskins (who are special enough already).

Spread the good word dudes and when we take the "Triumph at Ullanor" Picture it will be all the more epic!

I dont think I will be able to drag any extra body from my small gaming group to the event.

Might be worth me and Matt going to the vet gaming group at WHW to encourage some players?

Yes please! There is a dude who works in the shop... I think his name is Jamie, or Jay. He seemed a nice chap when I played him at Golconda and he had Iron Hands. If he's still there and you know who I mean could you tap him up too?

Answer - Yes... but you can never watch too much!

One of them is going to be Emperors Children.. the other, well, that iss kind of being kept under wraps as it is our front cover so it'll be a surprise. Funny thing is, from the brief I handed over I have no idea which of these is the front and which is the ordered EC greyscale. Seems a shame that the EC won't be in livid pink/purple colour too!

Anyway, its good to see some progress, even if it is a little later than hoped for.

Hope you guys don't mind me throwing Ogryns into the Ork pot... just seemed a good fit.

Ogryns has historically worked with Orks (gaming wise/fluff)

I am greatly upset of the lack of madboyz, weirdboy towers,

Joking a side looking great, I am a little upset not to see the gargant in action on the sunday!

Can warkoptas transport Mega Nobz? I've placed the same restrictions on them as Mega Nobz with regards to arming loadout for battlewagons as they are bulky... so I guess if the warkopta can take mega nobz then Ogryns can ride a warkopta too.

If it has the option of being a dedicated transport then that will slide in too but it should specify in the warkopta datasheet.

lol, those figures sound about right,

as to the warkopta i will look at the book tonight to see what it says about bulky etc, as far as i know bulky models just take up 2 spots the same as terminators etc, but will try and find out if anything else is stated anywhere

The battlekopta is a flying battlewagon, just no deffrollas! Does it say no to bulky? We'll call them bulky in this case and just use mega armour rule to restrict battlewagon options!

yeah the forgeworld 'chinork' states no models in mega armour (which at the time was the 5th edition of bulky,
in a battlewagon you can have mega armoured nobs they just take up 2 spaces,
Not the end of the world i will just fill the chinork with regular commandos rather than ogryns lol

will double check with imperial aeronautica tonight and see if the rules have altered for 6th but i doubt it

Something i found off the internet - looked quiet fun

Hi all.
Here are some house rules for Madboys, you can use for fun games with your mates.I hope you like them.(Inspired by the old Madboy rules from RT and Epic…)

Troops
0 to 1 Mad Boyz,.(10)pts per model

Mad Boy
WS/BS/S/T/W/I/A/Ld/Sv
4/2/4/4/1/2/2/X/5+

Unit Composition:
10 to 20 MadBoyz

Unit Type:
Infantry

Wargear:
Slugga and Choppa
Stickbombs

Special Rules:
Disturbed Behavior

Character:
The unit may NOT be accompanied by any one! Only Madboys are loopy enough to hang out with the Madboyz Mob!

Disturbed Behaviour.
The Madboyz have sailed far beyond the realms of sanity, and tend to behave in an irratic and unpredictable way.Every time the Madboyz unit sufferes casualties or would normaly take a LD test, roll on the disturbed behaviour table below. The effects last for one full turn , unless the Madboys have to roll on the chart again!

Disturbed behaviour (Roll 2 D6)
2 or 3 Fobik!
The Madboys become terrified of a random object and make themselves as small as possible , and cover thier faces to hide from the terrible abomination.
The Madboys counts as going to ground and will not fight in any way !

4 Moronik.
The Madboys wander about looking for a ‘speshul sumfink…’
The mad boys count all movement as moving through difficult terrain, they will not shoot but fight in close combat normaly.

5 Melonkolik.
The Madboys are convinced they are all dead so lay down and wait for the hand of Mork ( or possibly Gork) to take them into ‘Da Big Green.’
The Madboys remain stationary and do not move or fight in any way.The Madboys are SO convincing that NO attacks can be made agains them , and any attacks that ‘scatter’ onto the Madboys are ignored.

6 Frantik.
The Madboys are not sure where they are going , but they are going to get there ‘Zoggin kwick!’
The Madboys gain , Fleet of foot, Move through cover and a 5+ inv save due to the irratic way they move.
The Mad boys cannot shoot but can assault normaly.

7 or 8. Sykotik.
The Madboys move forward with steely resolve.
They gain Fleet of foot, and Feel no pain.

9. Skitzo.
The Madboys multiple personalities emerg at the same time! All the personalities constantly argue about what enemy to ‘Bash’, but when the Madboys are in an assault, ALL the personalities ‘stik da boot in!’
The Madboys gain Slow and puorposful ,Furious Charge, Counter Attack, and Feel no pain.

10.Manik.
The Madboys have ‘seen da lite’ and are convinced they can win the battle by a decisive action!
If in assault range of an enemy unit ,they gain Rage,Fleet of foot ,and Feel no pain.
If they are out of assault range of enemy units, they will shoot at the nearest enemy unit , re rolling any misses.

11 or 12.Maniakz.
Swathed in an eerie green glow , the Madboys belief in themselves is powered by pure Waaagh energy.
The Madboys gain the abilities of monstrous creatures , (but count cover as for normal boys.)Fleet of foot and Feel no pain.

Feel free to adjust these rules as you like, they are for fun after all.

Mate it looks fantastic, just wish I had the time and resources to build a Garnant for myself.
Just a few points.

The Looted flyers feel very weekly armed and not random enough for me to want to take one over the available ork fast attack options, to encourage their use how about allowing any flyer to be looted by the Orks at codex cost with the following modifications;

Armour value all-round reduced by 1 to a minim of 10 due to unpredictable Ork upgrades.
Ballistic skill reduced to 2

Fighta ace- having spent some time fiddling with all the shiny knobs and switches the pilot/ crew have gained a better affinity with the weapon systems fitted to the aircraft and my engage Flyers and Skimmers with BS3. At a cost of 10 points

No really,Don’t press Dat!

Diss silly thing wont do wat i tell it, at the start of each turn role 1 D6 and consult the table

1 With a belch of flame the engine cuts out and the flyer starts to lose altitude. If in Hover mode while the pilot struggles to re-start the engines you must remain stationary and no weapons may be fired for the duration of the turn. If in flyer mode treat it as a fixed velocity result but without the loss of Hull Point and reduce BS by 1 for the duration of the turn.

2 The flyer makes a sudden and violent change of direction role a scatter dice and move flat out in the indicated direction if you role a hit you may chose the direction you move in but must still move the maximum distance. any unit that leaves the table joins re-joins the reserves.

3 No effect
4 No effect

5 Some form of advance navigation system has been engaged if in skimmer mode you may make an additional move during the assault phase as per the Jump pack rules. If in flyer mode you may make an additional 90 deg change of course at any point during your movement.

6 Some sort of advanced targeting system has been engaged all weapons may be fired twice this turn.

Just an idea what do you think? I like the image of orked up Storm Ravens or Necron pastries zooming about

It's a good idea, would need to change the weapon loadout though or make it a one stat line generic choice like the looted tank. Mainly as i wouldn't want to see an ork vendetta armed with lascannons, but zzap guns instead etc! Otherwise we may not see any other flyer but vendettas!

It's good though nick, i'll work on it over the next few days!

Also, once we've got Ullanor sorted i'll alter the pack slightly and make all the ork options available for future events too so we can see more gargants at other apocalypse games!

Thinking of making a rule about pairs, (mork and gork) in which when similar gargants operate side by side their powerfield overlap for a bonus! Any thoughts?

Good point,you could give the choice of;
Up to three Twin linked; Supper shootas, big shootas, rockets, or Zapp/ supper Zapp guns at an appropriate cost.
The random nature of the Zapp weapons would stop them from being too overpowered.
