Just thought I's mention this, I'm building a rather large spaceship over my base, based on this. (Me and Cptprice have decided to abandon the earth for 2012.(just in case))

Its about 300 blocks long, so should keep me occupied...
Having some problems with the Nuclear Control mod for IC2 (as IC2 has been updated). I've posted a bug report. If I don't get a working response within an hour, I'll downgrade the server back to 3.1.2. :(
Your courtyard may or may not have chickens all over it. But unless they take a hankering for rubber trees, the damage should be non existent!

If you updated to 3.1.3, you'll have to close it, run the Technic Launcher again, click Options, change it back to 3.1.2 and choose "Yes" when asked to "Update"

Lesson learned, updating a Tekkit server is not as simple as updating a normal Minecraft server.
If I get an answer, I'll do the upgrade on a test server and only then, if all goes well and everything is ok, yes I'll upgrade the server.
However, at the moment there seem to be even more problems with 3.1.3 that others are reporting (crashes/disconnects when viewing NEI recipes etc), so I'm gonna wait until there's a stable useable version before upgrading.

Works for me. At least the launcher makes it relatively easy for players to roll back anyway.

NOTE: As of Minecraft 1.3.2 IndustrialCra​ft² has had a second re-write of the Nuclear Reactor with additional components and removed environmental effects such as water and ice cooling, which makes ice cooling (often known as SUC cooling) useless.
So therefore your *safe* design is not safe.....

Anybody know why my frame motor won't work, I have a lever connected to frame motor hooked up to 7 solar panels. Does it have to be a red-power ticker?
Yea frame motors need bluetricity, essentially the electrical energy from Redpower.
I messed around with frames and while annoying it was fun to actually see the fruits of my labour. Sadly it got deleted as it was only a test world and redpower isnt currently on the modpack I use.
You need to make usre it is all bluetricity stuff and not Buildcraft.
The wires for blutricity are yellow and black, the batterybox is somewhat multicoloured. Also make sure to let the battery box charge, it won't do anything until it hits a certain charge.
Well server's back up, but I haven't fixed anything. If it crashes again, may just have to rollback to a previous backup, because right now I have no way to identify what's causing the issue other than "Wireless Redstone"

Yeah, you can login to the launcher, but can't establish a session with the server due to Minecraft.net having session issues at the moment. Hopefully it will be back up and running soon.
Who keeps hitting my dragon eggs? It's getting annoying, everytime I log on after an extended period of time it seems they've teleported further away.. only one is left in it's original spot, one's teleported inside my house, 1 is at ground level outside and one it somewhere else...
Just look at the map. Generally the clock there tells me when its down because it will loop. It's currently going from 16:09 to 16:11 so server is hanging.
Yay I've got Qatar and very close to getting a morning star. I've found out that it'd take 48 stacks to make an omega. Soon I'll have my infernal armour and gem armour!
Fun fact: Each floor was approximately 48 million EMC to produce, not including the ground floor machinery for the blaze generators or the top it is roughly 384 milion EMC.

Also Dark, I've noticed earlier and again now that my client appears to crash really often when I'm around 4, 877 on the rail bridge. It may be just me though.

There were these amazing engine/flying things that you put down and it would turn everything in the area of like 5k blocks aside from dirt/stone/gravel into a moveable vehicle you could fly, It was a part of tekkit for a little while I think.

That's fine, ships can't rotate (dont think so) but move up, down forward back left and right. Thunderhawks will be able to be customised for certain scenarios once I find out what's wrong with them as currently it won't move even though it has a LOT of energy!

Assuming you mean this, I've fixed it (forced a re-render on that area). The map doesn't always notice if you use the Philosopher's Stone (or other strange tools) for building. Placing/removing a block normally will usually trigger an update of the tile though.

can someone give me a hand? My MV transformer blew up, despite me not making any changes to my power grid for about half an hour, and now I've used a HV transformer, my electric furnace keeps blowing up.
I'm using four MV solar arrays linked via carbon fibre to an MFSU, and from there to a HV transformer via a HV cable, which then spreads to my various machines through glass fibre cables. What's wrong here?
A moving death star will be very hard! Please give the red matter over next time were both online and then I'll talk with my team as to how we begin the creation of this project. To make this were going to have to move out of our usual dry dock and satellite it may be a while and just so you know were also doing 4 other thunder hawks and a vendetta cruiser as we do this. The Induction Furnace doesn't have upgrade slots as far as I've found. All the other machines (e.g. rotary macerator and so on) have them, but the Induction Furnace doesn't. Somebody correct me, because I'd like to get rid of the LV altogether

Inductions only support up to 127 EU/t. Therefore, connecting it up to an MFE will result in explosions.

As for the Death Stars, I will not hesitate to tear them down if the "fires of industry" threaten my land. I occupied the area first, and thus far I've been really quite leniant with the landscape. A giant fugly-ass wall appearing on my doorstep (again, I don't care who built it, since you're living inside it it's as much yours as anyone's) is as far as leniancy goes. At least some users have the decency to construct their larger projects away from other people.
Also, if you plan on building any more in my hills, then it is YOU who should take care, because if anything of the kind passes through my land, it gets demolished.

Full scale warfare. I guess there's actually ways to fix most normal griefing, and if you're determined enough, even Tekkit-scale griefs can be prevented in this system. The Defense has won over the Offense.
Well.. if it comes to that.. I think me and ILS will hide in one of our complexes... either the sky garden, my mage tower, or (if they are complete) the factory and secret lab...
EDIT: Note that I'm not saying I'm weak... I have enough power to take on basically everyone on the server (probably NOT at the same time...), but I'd rather not try...

no, rather griefing isn't griefing if the blocks which are broken has been built in another player's land without permission.
Melissia is one such example of being completely allowed to do that.

It probably is still griefing if someone delivers an ultimatum, and then goes out and destroys someone's stuff, but I'm saying that anything of HIS built on MY land, or that comes into MY land, will get deconstructed.

SchellCo Land extends for 5 blocks beyond the wall on your side, if that is acceptable by you. SchellCo constructions will never go further, unless some form of necessary contract is agreed upon.

Meh. Bio energy is renewable and it produces a lot more energy than coal alone. Plus, you get wood from it too. PM me if you want some installed. Only catch is that you have to provide the materials: mining turtles, engines etc.
It's basically a bio-energy generator and a wood farm in one. Just check on the turtles once in a while and collect your wood, and the energy takes care of itself.

It's good to have alternative energy sources. I've made several in my time, this new biomass one is the most recent addition.

I had that happen to me. I put some fuel (can't remember if I put coal or redstone) into the fire icon thing at the middle bottom of the GUI and it cleared the problem.
Whenever it locks you just need to make something with the EMC in it and then take everything out of it. Works for negative EMC as well, just need to balance it out in most cases.

Yeah, but the problem FM_Ninja is describing (and the one I had) was when the EMC is zero (not negative nor a positive number) and it still only accepts fuel. I tried making some fuel with it to "populate and re-clear" the EMC value to 0, but it didn't fix it. The only fix I found was when I put some fuel into the fire icon (only needed one item if I recall). If there is a reason for this happening, feel free to explain.
I'm not sure why it does, just it's the same as the negative EMC glitch where it only seemed to fix itself by making something with what you had to free it up. It should say "no lock" when it's fine.

he's got a point- I claim a patent on being on the vanilla server because I was the first one to do it- everyone bar lego and yak must pay royalties to me from now on.

Yes. They move the motors with them, but it'll require some fussing around.

Matapata I don't suppose you'd like to join the chunk eaters a war based minecraft tekkit clan based off the world eaters. You don't have to pay anything but if you join now you can be 2nd captain and get a ship to yourself! Aswell as an armoury and skin based off a world eater made for you. + you get a monthly work bonus of a stack of diamonds varying on how good you are doing

Detonating a nuke underwater produced no lag whatsoever.
The nuke was safely detonated away from any land, no property was harmed/ giving an ugly view.
The only risk could be some radioactive/murderous squids.
Your neighbours are complaining about the noise, as you are so close to the heavily populated spawn area, please try to be nice neighbours. If you want to build massive projects such as "Death Stars", it's probably best if you move to somewhere where you have space to do so. The world is a big place, there's no point in you all shoving elbows in one spot.
In addition please take any nukes much further away than that previous one. Although I don't have time to check right now, apparently it was too close to the stronghold and other populated areas. Please think about things that might be under the ocean floor before setting them off underwater (or anywhere for that matter).
I don't want to ban nukes (or any items) but I also don't want to have to deal with arguments all the time.

I have apologized to my neighbor, and these amends are being made:
- Tower = Much lower now
- Airship = Gone (was not a fan of its presence)
- Disabling anything not deemed necessary (a wireless redstone setup is to come, but everything is going to be shut down for now)
- Foolish project in the middle of the ocean that I'm hoping nobody noticed... = Gone
- I'm cancelling my ordering of any ships, though I am interested in using a frame setup for an elevator at some point, though I fear the lag. (I'm writing off my down payment as charity)
If there is anybody who has any other problem with my constructs, please let me know, so that it may be fixed.
Also, is anybody opposed to a small project to establish a better shelter in the nether for new people?

Just one thing: you can't rotate frames yet. They're permanently stuck in a single direction.
And when we can, it will probably only be in 90 degree rotations. If red power could just add the airship mod...
Or, the alternative would be to install the airship mod. Being a forge server, no-one would need the actual mod, but not having it would increase lag.

It and reap the rewards! Each ship will have a forcefield, ship v ship weapons, nukes, carpet bombing mechanisms, heavily armoured hulls and a nuclear reactor as standard, chapels oil store houses and other things can be made on request. All this stuff is in a cruiser, not a thunderhawk.
Was unaware it broke. Seeing that this war thing didn't go through (not all that surprising) I suppose I should put off the tower a bit and help focus on that bridge. I mean that tower has so far doubled our arrays to 49... I'm building them in the ground floor for a more interesting "server farm" look.

Seeing talk of usable ships, but then reading about how they can't turn, could someone give me the run down on the airship possibilities? I never bothered to finish the last one i constructed on the basic server, but if we can make working air ships, I must say the fire to build mighty vessels has be officially stoked.
