Finished off my first two American 6mm WW2 planes.
A Dauntless and a Catalina in early 1942 blue/grey with tail stripes. Pretty pleased with them though the roundels arnt quite as neat a job as I could've done.

Started another pair too, an Invader and a P-38 both with a silver base so far.
Need to buy more magnets and get them on some stands for photos.

Working on my Primaris Hellblasters, the penultimate Primaris unit from my Dark Imperium box set. Once I get these and the Ancient done, I can move on to the Death Guard. I'm also working on putting Mortarion together.

I am painting up a little set of gravestones made out of wooden canvas supports. Simple and grey with a little bit of freehand writing is the plan.

Bought, built and primed a box of blue and brimstone horrors.

Sad that I managed to flick chainmail paint over one of my horsies by accident :(

Sadly it dried on in a bunch of little blobs before I realised.

Trying to work out whether to scrape it off or overpaint it and hope it doesn't stand out too much when the unit is ranked up.

Assembled two Raven-Bs for my UCM and primed those and my 6 bases of Praetorian Snipers

Magnetizing all the options on a Helbrute. Might work more on my Primaris Hellblasters if I feel like it later.

Been gluing arms to infantrymen. Have enough of the blighters now to replace the conscript squads with something that can actually make FRFSRF worth it.

Finally got round to painting some more acolytes for The Others. Now the possessed hobos can take a day off. Also, I really hate painting white. Which is a shame as all the medical acolytes I've primed are in lab coats.

Finally got Mortarion fully assembled, and my Sonic Weapon bits from Spellcrow came in the mail, so now I can start making some Noise! (Marines, that is). I'm also going to continue working on my Hellblasters.

Magnets arived in the post! Time to get these bad boys airborne on flying bases.

I nrecently picked up three E-100 Super Heavy Tanks in 1/56th scale for my alt-history German forces. They're 3D printed and the detail's fairly poor, so today's been me re-doing one of them to bring it up to scratch.

Assmbled a Tempestor Prime. Was really annoyed to see that he only comes with a dagger but you have to give him a power sword at a minimum. Will have to find a right handed power sword now.

Doing everything I can to avoid assembling the hotshot riflemen. Those stupid packs never line up with cables from the guns.

Primed everything for my 1000 pt UCM fleet. If I didn't have a lot more to do if prime all of the ships

Assembled and magnetized a Knight.

Found some flaws in some of the shipping containers I built. So spent some time sanding down some of the styrene strips to make certain the sit even on any side. Also but some models I wanted to disassemble in the freezer to weaken the glue bonds, but Mrs Captain Brown found them and removed them. :(

Primed the rest of my UCM cruisers and Avalon. Not a fan of priming at night (too dark to accurately see missed spots) or else I would have finished off the frigates too.

Converting / kitbashing & painting 2 Chaos Vindicator and a Rhino for my Homebrew Warband ^^

So I primed my four scratch built shipping containers and the spray raised dust/rough spots on the corrugated cardboard I had used (what is worse I spent 30 minutes sanding them all down to prevent this prior to assembly). Seems I may have to do some more sanding, but it will be difficult with the polystyrene frames.

So I ended up winning the local AoS league after a disastrous start. Ended up surviving placements due to a number of players dropping out, then proceeded to take narrow victories all through the final heat against some great opponents, capped off with a rematch against the Bretonian player who I'd played at the start, this time properly knowing my army.

Then I went ahead and signed up for the next one. Reworked the list a bit, keeping the branchwych on a balewind vortex, looking for a good model to use as a base to convert a crazy swamp-dwelling lore master.

Primed my remaining UCM ships (6 frigates and 6 corvettes).

Cut, cleaned and assembled a Vyper jetbike for painting tomorrow. Finished three swooping hawks (including an Exarch).

Next on the painting table is 52 Pox Walkers. Going to attempt to production line the whole lot at once!

Putting some paint on the last of my Dark Imperium Primaris Marines, the Ancient.

Nothing much yet. My next shipment from FW is on the way, so I plan to get some of my HQ dudes started while the rest of the bits come in, and I just opened my copies of Prospero and copy of Calth to gaze at the contents within. My plan of attack is just about done, so I've started the washing of the resin pieces I've already got.

I've got 1000 points of Iron Warriors coming in the mail for my birthday; the Terminator Sorcerer and Tartaros Terminators came in late today. Glued together the Sorcerer, not sure if I want to get it painted before I start gluing together other stuff or if I want to glue everything first so I have something to play with while I paint.

Grandfather clock and grandfather mimic figures! Fine for tabletop, but that clock face needs work. I just realized upon posting that I should cheat and, instead of painting in the details of that clock face, I should just print out a reduce-sized clock face and stick it on the clock! The players won't notice the difference when I put the clock in -- what's a clock doing in a dungeon, anyway???

The mimics are made by Forge Prints. BTW, Their Adventurescapes KS terrain and game tiles has only a few more days to go. Docks, tavern, and alchemist's dungeon lair. $75 per set.

So I didn't do this today (sorry, bending the rules!) but this is probably the right thread to post it in. I managed to start doing some simple digital art, just to test out the app, and this is what I came up within a few minutes:

It's a Primarus head, using one of my own models as a reference. It was drawn out with my finger, which quickly hurt like hell. Looking at it, I think the perspective is a little off. Got to work on that. I plan to pick up the pencil this weekend, which will hopefully allow me to do more neat, tidy and detailed work.

My plan for today and this weekend is to clean up the spare room we have from being a catch-all room that happens to include our wargaming stuff into an actual office/school room that happens to have our wargaming stuff.

Also, I'm getting some slow but steady work done on my Ironjawz. I might get around to assembling more of my wife's and step-daughter's armies as well, depending on how time plays out.

Oh, and plotting out future scenery builds for more home gaming!

Hopefully finishing up my batch of Soviet Infantry today. Possibly even Croc-Man.

Just painted up the weapons for installation on my Eldar/Robotech Regult-war-walkers...will attach in a bit when I feel the shields have settled in the glue well enough.

Then I'll get angry about the end product...and likely sell them on eBay after wasting a large amount of time.

Trawling the Russian and Ukrainian internet to find out information about their current military tech. The Ukrainian Wikipedia is surprisingly helpful when it comes to specific numbers of vehicles (though it doesn't go into the nuanced upgrade kits). Meanwhile the English version is like "T-80 - the Ukrainians use it." ...So ah, the original one, or one of the umpteen variants?

The hell of wanting to make an accurate forces for modern wargames. I'm going for accurate organisations and equipment - so OP as feth in any actual wargame (1 LMG/ MMG, 3 RPGs and 2 UBGL in a 7 man Russian squad... The Ukrainians double down on MGs).

Eh, the advantage is you can also justify damn near anything in a modern wargame. I agree though - it's a tough thing to do, particularly in a foreign language or on the other side of what was once a curtain of iron-influence.

I'm trimming mould lines from my metal Howling Banshees. I didn't think the Finecast ones would hold up to, well, anything, so I bought metal ones second hand.

Finished two P-38s and a B-17 and started two Lancasters and three Macchis.

Finish the basing of my Soviets. Hopefully from finish up Croc-man and base him up to get to the other PanO stuff I need to paint. Perhaps start another batch of Soviet Infantry as well.

Broke up three Auto cannon teams that have been partially painted for ages. Going to make three Mortar teams in their place. Never liked the Mortar loader arms so I am going to convert to make more realistic poses. Finished the first team conversion.

Those are before they went all Mad Max aren't they? I've come to prefer those in a way.

If they're 2nd ed...yeah, they're more RT than later. The clans all actually had proper models, a nice touch.

Looking at the possibility of making an army for kings of war, what with all the historical little guys i have around

Finished painting my last primaris (and consequently my last) space marine for my army. Glad to have that behind me.

Also painted up 4 treasure chests from the D&D or Pathfinder pre-primed line. They'll be for Frostgrave or that new Ghost Archipelago spin-off game.

My queue now consists of:
20 GSC neophytes that are already basecoated khaki
65 zombies from Zombicide Black Plague that are already basecoated

First Strike just arrived the other day, so I spent the evening assembling some blue plastic marines, while managing to lose one head in the process

Working on Hexa today. Debating on start painting Jotum up or start a batch of of Soviet Infantry.

Orderd myself a box of Royalist infanteri for my army in Pike & Shot English civil war army, pondering to make them all into pikemen as my army needs more of that, or simply go all out and make them gunners.

Assembled four of my Cadian spares into my customized
Conscripts, one more and I will have forty for two squads of twenty.

Took a look at my empire army; I thought I was done when I finished painting those horses, but it turns out I had also assembled a unit of Pistolliers.

The models were base coated chocolate over a greyscale prime, with some metal and flesh picked out. The bases are sanded but left primed. These are models I'll have to put some more paint on to, because the modelling work is pretty unique and it would be a shame to leave them as is.

After that I checked through my Cadian battalion + sundries.

I figure I can squeeze out 35 cadians, a commissar, 5 storm troopers (or perhaps a carapace armoured command squad?) 3 ogryns and 2 sentinels.

In the night hours I finished off my 28mm APC low detail cardstock templates.

Mostly game day for Infinity today. If I have the energy or so once I get home, I might paint some more Soviet Infantry.

Just finished the bases on these.


Will base another unit in the evening.

Bonus update: repainting some of the highlights on my Word Bearer Possessed to be a more vibrant orange instead of the fleshy colour I originally chose.

They look a little more daemonic now!

Hopefully once home from work I can do a bit more on my Terminator sergeant with Thunder Hammer and Storm shield, at a push I can finish him. It's the first one in the unit so taking a little longer deciding what colours I want on different parts of the model, the next 4 should be a bit quicker once this chap is done.

Ive started my final KSons veteran/regular tactical squad. After this all I need are the rhinos. And predator. And castellax. And assault squad. And praetor. And plasma squad. And apothecaries.

Did a quick paper mock up of the low rez 28mm apc template I've been drawing up. The plan is to use the template to create the sections from thicker stock and assemble (with some internal reinforcement to prevent warping, of course). Detail can be added with emboss, carve or additional panelling as well as further scratch building, bits and painting!

The design is derived from a variety of sources, including real world machines. Vertical side and back with sloped front and narrow windscreen seem to be the standard APC design.

I also made a group shot for the Black Legion contingent of my Black Crusade.



Unfortunately with a couple of decades under my belt I still paint armies like a ten year old!

I made some tiny simple grave stones, for when i need tiny simple grave stones

Found a broken RC monster truck and an abandoned hull of an old scratch build.

Started work on a Gobsmasher (small ork battle wagon / large armoured war buggy).

Happily, as well as huge wheels, the monster truck also donated a lighting rig, exhaust, fuel tanks, and some exposed engine parts. Basically just need to detail the front and add a rear hatch for it to be done!

Seeing if I can get the energy up to finish the howdah of my Great Beast of Gorgoroth. And see if I can wash the custom bases for my Laketown Guard.

Did the shading on the first half of the Space Hulk Genestealers last night. Today, I'll do the base layers and shading on the second half and start on highlights for the first batch.

Start tackling Jotum. Perhaps try a conversion of one of my 2nd ed Fusilier into a Hexa.

Finished up the death marshals for my Tara crew.

Putting the final touches on my final DI Primaris model, and assembling a Plagueburst Crawler for my Death Guard. The PBC is, so far, one of the most fun builds I've had in a while. I just absolutely love the model, and the kit is pretty easy to put together even though mine had a warped bottom plate (not too bad, but I had to be creative and use rubber bands to get everything to fit together properly on the base hull).

Continue work on Jotum. Might get some more work done on the Soviet Infantry for the down time.

Assembly line painting 20 GSC neophytes.
All are primed khaki and I'm using different colored chest plates to differentiate units.

Starting to assemble 2 boxes of Blightlord Terminators. Attempting a bit of green stuffing to create slightly unique models for the duplicates

Picked up a new saw and a few chisels, as a result finally made a start on my new work bench. two of the three end frames are assembled (its going to be an L shape), third will be tomorrow.

Also cut the first of the table support beams, need to find a file to get some of the joints to fit, the garage is dark and scary so thats waiting until tomorrow as well.

Hope to get to the point of fitting the deck by the weekend.

Think 8' tall monster, 2' deep desk 6'x6' in an L as the lowest level, 6" high shelf 14" deep just above it for paint caddies etc, space under for stuff to lurk in, lose stuff in, moths, slugs and other odds and sods.

18" above that is going to be a shelf sized to store KR cases on end, and 18" above that another the same for other storage boxes.

The uprights are tall enough it may get a further shelf above that.

Dedicated spray area at one end, then on the "L" space for my work laptop when working from home...

Found out i left my compressor on for over 5 days....

probably need to figure out how to get the moisture out of my tank.

Stripped and washed three oop metal Wraithguard. Sanded some gloves I scratch-built for some Guard models carrying Plasma guns.

Keeping on track with painting a squad a day for my modern stuff. That I keep forgetting how I painted the uniforms the previous day doesn't help, but well a variety in clothing isn't uncommon.

I might ditch painting the command squad for my Russians in favour of making an up-armoured BRDM for the Separatist forces. ...If I can stomach making all the slat armour.

Painting some Poxwalkers, and just assembled (well, put on bases) some metal Plaguebearers courtesy of eBay. Now I have a full unit of 30 metal Plaguebearers including command, so I'm pretty happy about that.

Finished my four Shipping Containers by adding burnt umber followed by some aged metal. I decided not to do rust or oil leaks as it is terrain and I can always add them later.

Finished assembling a Scythed Heirodule... I think it was a recast (ebay purchase) but I doubt it was any harder than a normal FW one.

Now to finish my Malanthrope's base....

Desk just about finished, need three more sheets of MDF to put the deck on the top level of shelving, and the materials to make a lower shelf for my paint chests to sit on.

Moved a chair in and its a nice working height, likely to need some more lighting though.

Who knows, later this week I may actually be able to build and paint something again

Trying to get back in the swing of things after a couple weeks off. I cast, painted, flocked, and added epoxy resin to some terrain this weekend.

I made some more simple gravestones. I kind of want to turn it into a simple modular cemetery deal.

Hopefully tomorrow I can make a start on some Last Blossom for Malifaux, including vintage Misaki

Remounted one Wraithguard model that was leaning too much and removed the flash from all six. Flash on oop metal models that have been painted and striped at least once or more (on three of them based on the loss of the smooth coat on the pewter).

Found a cannon and hydraulic arm for the gun mounting on the gobsmasha (old ork warbuggy / battle wagon hybrid vehicle).

Also previously crafted some armour panel details for it.

Mid-week hobby was successful this week, finished off Huntress, Hawkgirl, Sgt Winslow and Commissioner Loeb for Batman. Tomorrow got a big day of hobby planned, aiming to finish 2 lamps and sewers for Batman, and then make a start on the rest of my 300 point Infinity Steel Phalanx list, which is only 4 models so shouldn't take too long.

Got the lighting installed on my desk, the calibrate built half the marines from the 40k starter set.

have to say they are growing on me, a lot less cluttered than some other marine models which appeals (the bling on the normal ones stays in the box anyway for me) and while they are all mono-pose, the pose works.

Thinking a semi-napoleonic colour scheme for them, warm white and bright red, trimmed brass (gold for officers) with black detailing. need to have a think

So I ended up assembling 7 new imperial guard models for m new mod project, assembling and magnetizing an executioner turret, and primering a wyvern and just under 30 other models.

I didn't get any of the things I set out to do done, but I am happy with what I achieved.

Working on my OOP Wave Serpent, started painting the jewels and there are a lot of them.

Painted my third group of 10 zombies (65 is the total) for zombicide black plague. Will be glad to have them finished.

Built 5 more 13th NuEarther models to replace the Cadian ones. One of the local TO is going to force everything with a cadian helmet to take the cadian doctrine, so it was a good time to start the conversion process.

Continued to work on my OOP Wave Serpent, did a top-side sealing to dull down the shine of the newer paint to try and make it the same as my first two painted a decade ago.

Primed the SM models from Dark Imperium, now a nice panzer grey

Did first painting in months! Been off the painting loop for few months but today worked up a bit on justicaerin terminators, some more sons of horus tacticals&apotecharies and first 2 layers for test attempt for blood angel tactical marine for painting job. Oh and checked around generally what I need to do for tournament in next month. Need lots more bases for sure painted up.

"Dipped" my final third Rhino-Russ...cut out and cleaned my Fire Prism (using an old Falcon model instead + bits). Then it started raining really hard...so there goes my plan of priming and starting on it.

This is going to be one of those weeks.

Tuesday - Kids game (Pathfinder)

Wednesday - classroom concert, followed by Kings of War League. (My good lady and I are singing for a middle school history class - Railroads, Hoboes, and Outlaws is the theme this time - we could fill a concert with any one of them.)

Thursday - meeting with the staff for a local Unitarian/Pagan retreat - I am in charge of RPGs and am financial officer.) Followed by more Kings of War League.

Friday - Kids Hallowe'en party - in character for Pathfinder Pirate game.

Saturday - Pagan/Unitarian Hallowe'en party - LARP. (Well, a Hosted Murder, to be more accurate... in character as... pirates again.

Sunday - Complete Physical Collapse.

Getting things done while the weather is nice.

Last night worked on bases, bit more on justicaerin, assembled 2 blood angel rhino(minus tracks I paint separately) and predator up to point I need to start putting in resin pieces that are still in process of either being cleaned or drying up and did first attempts to paint blood angel armour with preshading technique. Not 100% sold yet but I think issue was too little white plus careless with airbrush usage leaving dots here and there(forgot to turn off paint flow before cutting airflow and then started next go pointing toward model).

Today less time but hoping to work on assembling predator and paint some more blood angels and continue with bases. Slow and steady. Getting home between 7-8pm puts dent on hobby time. Especially airbrush that I don't want to do that late due to noise issues.

Starting on a taurox. Seriously rethinking my life choices.

Got whole bunch of bases advanced to various stages. Assembled the predator minus tracks I'll glue later once basic colours and tracks are painted. Put on first coat for the two rhino's plus bucket of MKIII and MKIV marines for blood angels and couple terminators. Not too bad result seeing I had less than usual time to do due to going to donate japanese study books.

edit: Also assembled two leaders for the blood angels. Terminator captain was built as is but the power armour one got kitbashed to have MKIII helmet(personal habit for him to use MKIII helmet with MKIV armour!) and not one but TWO close combat weapons! Power sword/paragon blade(depending on do I have points to spare) plus thunder hammer. Not most effective options but I like the look

Putting some finishing touches and highlights on my Poxwalkers. They're getting there!

I'm building a squad of Dire Avengers I bought as part of a Dire Avengers Skyblade, and also putting the finishing touches on the Terminator Librarian I've been painting for a friend.

55 bases got all the stuff I glue to them before painting. Just need to sand off bit and they are ready for painting. Also painted 2nd layer for bunch of blood angels and did undercoat for predator and more blood angels. Plus 3 layers out of 4 for cloaks for the HQ(I do these first before painting armour as I figure cloaks are easier to cover for airbrushing armour than otherway around. Maybe mistake).

Busy day especially as I had limited time due to train cancelled resulting in bus which left off later than train would have and was lot slower to boot.

Continued working on the alternate turrets I have for my OOP Wave Serpents. Corrected some errors on the third one I have almost finished. Since I just got some Eldar water slide transfers any suggestions on where they should go on the models?

Blood angels and sons of horus progressing. I\m getting sick and tired of airbrush flow issues though. Starting to suspect paint is getting dried up inside the damn thing out of sight. Though dip into alcohol and brushing up seemed to help a bit.

After doing final red layer with airbrush tomorrow to whole bunch of them think I'll concentrate on old fashioned brush work for change of pace. Like finish those blood angels and paint more sons of horus that I need to do anyway for the tournament. Some 55 bases also ready for brush part.

Going to play a game of 40K. Finished my 3rd OOP Eldar Wave Serpent, just need a proper base as the large clear round ones cannot support the weight of the resin parts.

Since I did finish with my goals, I am working on some American Nisei infantry and the Neoterran starter box I picked up.

Finished up pair of apotecharies for my Sons of Horus to have some FNP goodiness. First completed paintings for a while.

So my brother and I are coming back to warhammer 40k.

We are going to leave everything, to the dice gods... EVEN the army we start collecting. (Mostly)

He will be selecting his army from the following, Space Marines, Astra Militarum, Tau, Adept Mechanius, Dark Angels, or Chaos Daemons

My choices are, Orkz, Necronz, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Chaos Space Marines, and lastly, Space Wolves

From there, We will try and make our tables to role off of, and hopefully this will lead to our creation of our armies.

Yesterday was busy day. Got first blood angels ready from airbrush stage, finished up 10 sons of horus tacticals, 2 apotecharies and 5 justicaerin(so think I now have preliminary tournament list painted up and ready to go!) and started working on vindicator laser destroyer(which is pretty much done except for weathering which I'll do later when I figure how) and 3 jetbikes for Sons of Horus as well(love those bikes. Though I really should have glued the riders AFTER painting...And used airbrush to undercoat metal parts black to cover hard to reach by brush parts).

Today's plan is airbrush more blood angels and then work more on the jetbikes. If I can get those done I have nice flexibility in case I want to change tournament list after all.

My ‘roaring lions’ chapter badges from shapeways arrived on Saturday. I’m just plucking up the courage to dive in and work with them.

I'm building Wraithguard from the Start Collecting Craftworlds box.

Finishing the last two arms of my Knight and doing some shading of the legs and torso.

Today is a an organizing and rearranging day! I'd say it's a pain but i honestly enjoy doing this.

Put in first red layer for some more blood angels, blue-grey shading for some blood angels and finished up the three sons of horus jetbike minus weapons(3 bikes, 12 weapons. Fully magnetized...Time to start painting some weapons!)

Played mansions of madness. Got beaten to death on a burning dock by an angry mob. Again.

Lost my Wet Pallete paper. Going to do what detail painting I can until the replacement arrives so I can get back to repairing skintones on these models.

Got the base coat and first highlight on my test model for my oop metal Wraithguard.

Assembled the Shadespire minis. Now debating whether I can be arsed to turn on my airbrush compressor and prime them all today. The sofa is looking increasingly comfy.

Put in 2 coats of yellow for bunch of blood angels leaving only the red to be airbrushed(again in 2 coats). Also finishing touches to the jetbikes and their guns and contemptator plus pair of assault cannons(magnetized. I also have CCW but that needs to be painted still). Also working right now on the librarian conversion.

Painted the weapons on 5 more oop metal Wraithguard. Have started on the blue armor.

played FoW v3, very close win by my Hero Strelk in fighting withdrawal..

Assembled 4 catachan/spacescout hybrids. One more to build(for the flamer) and a Missonary (for ministorum priest). Might be able to squeeze out a pure AM 2k list if I bring everything.

Finally found the paint scheme I wanted for my tyranids, lot more complicated that I thought.

Pealing epoxy putty off my finger and fingernails.

Finished the blue base-coat on the 5 remaining oop metal Wraithguard.

Putting the base coat on a couple of sentinels while waiting for the glue to dry on a penitent engine.

Put in 2 coats of red to blood angels. Seems I was too cautious with white previous though as armour is generally kinda dark. Need to think if I could brighten them up a bit.

Worked bit more on SoH terminators with cataphractii armour and with blood angels running short on bases started working on about 49(if I counted right) bases. That ought to cover most.

I'm almost out with Sons of Horuses to paint. Once these termies(almost done) are finished I really have just half done librarian, half done contemptator, 2 half done rhino's and unassembled reaver squad left. So leaves me free to concentrate on Blood Angels and Custodians.

Painting all the metallics on my Greatswords, its a shame I don't have the red I used to paint the Champion and I can't finish the rest of the unit.

Highlights and details on my Hemlock Wraithfighter and hopefully starting assembly on Pask.

After sitting there and hating my recently painted Fire Prism...I almost ebayed it. Then I decided I'd mask it off and change the paint scheme a bit, and voila...much better. So that's one model down.

Now, if I can convince myself not to sell off the six Obliterators I just kit-bashed...

I'm testing out new paint schemes for my Aelves. I've decided to repaint the Highborn ones next, now that I've finished the wanderers (except my 6 warhawks...). I've settled on a red-silver-bronze scheme for them, to contrast with the brown-green-blue wanderers and the purple-white-grey dark elves.

Built my first 5 catachans with actual catachan parts. Hopefully my FLGS order will come in today and I can 5 more shirtless soldiers and 3 bullgryn.

Also built a second priest. My guardsmen may have crappy shooting, but charge them at your own risk BwHaHahaha

My GSC versus my buddy's Death Guard.
We used Open War cards because they are awesome.

Lucked up and got a hold the mobile objective marker mission. Sneaked in with the my patriarch, snatched the maguffin and successfully kept him alive with it long enough to win the game. My buddy drew a nasty comeback card that could have ruined it as he lost Typhus to a horde of genestealers only to bring him back the very next turn.

After a few weeks of no hobby time (depression and seasonal affective disorder "yay") I've been able to spend a little bit of time working on some minis from Ironclad Miniatures Sanwar range.

Anyway I have been working on 51 or so bases and also started working on repositioning of pair of custodian legs. Goal is to make HQ that is keeping one leg on high rock(base in question not the final one but height was right so used it temporarily).

Most ambitious conversion I'm planning. Quite likely it ends up with wasted legs so I already ordered new ones so I can still build custodian even if this one gets wasted :lol: along with rest of bits I'll be using.

How does using the Ultrasonic Cleaner work as a paint stripper? Do you have to use any chemicals first?

Went to the FLGS for a Bullgryn box, but it had been sent to the owner's other store. Instead bought and built a wyvern overnight so I could finally field a pure AM list at 2k points.

Assembled bunch of custodians, worked more on the legs for HQ conversion(think I'll keep this. It won't be pretty and you can see it's my conversion but hopefully not too bad and pose makes it distinctive HQ model. Now just need to wait for remaining bits I need). Base coated new bases and cursed when I ran out of thinner and black. That sucks. Especially when you have 2 weeks delivery time for new...

Going to start rusting up some mono bikes.

This little guy is progressing. Blutack holding up so far. Head is provisional one until bitz order comes which also contains power fist for his left arm. I decided to swap arms so shield is on right arm, power fist(or the custodian version of it) on left. Left armed Custodian! Should help separate him from basic guys since I can't do anything really ambitious. Even this one is pushing my converting abilities below. This guy won't look too pretty if you look too close

Finished rebasing my Guard and a Space Hulk Terminator. Started the red layers on two more Terminators.

Helping a bunch of nine year old gamers learn how to paint miniatures.

I was expecting four - the kids in my Kids of War game - but instead.... nine. And one of them is not in any of my games.

Teaching them the Dip method - cheap craft paints and brushes, not our good hobby paints, and a can of Walnut for the dip.

Should give good enough results, quick enough, that I will be able to get 'em hooked.

*EDIT* Miniatures are Reaper Bones, mostly, but one girl is bringing in an ancient box of her father's single posed plastic Chaos Dwarfs - the miniatures are older than she is!

Tonight I am finally starting to work on the final Sanwar minis I bought from Ironclad Miniatures, the giant lizard cavalry. I think I've definitely saved the most fun minis to paint for last.

Assembled sons of horus reavers(last sons of horus I have yet totally unstarted) and converted count-as adrasite spear for custodian out of spear and plasma gun. Oh and arranged for nearly certain purchase of chaos warhound...Whoops. Wasn't expecting to buy a titan this quick.

Accidentally fell asleep twice in a row. I swear I'm going to get this tank painted. Just as soon as I stay awake.

Playing a 1500 point league game, then working on Space Hulk Terminators.

Sealed the 6 oop Wraithguard. Another unit completed.

Got them done in time for the tourney this weekend and waargh'd my way to victory.

Blue coat to remaining not-yet airbrushed blood angels. Planning how to build some terrain though will have to wait for next month. This month hobby budget well spent and some more.
