hey i finaly got around to getting some of my ig together is verry wip and needs some filling smoothing and touch ups, i would like love feedback on what i have done so far and any suggestions on what could be done?, im getting a cadian B force, squad of catachans and a LRBT in 2 days but i will be in QLD for a week so i could get some done there, there wont be much updates for a week or so from here but as soon as i am back i will try keep up.

the army will be around 1000 points *999 to be exact* and each soldier will be named because i get verry bored so i decided to get names for them.

i enjoy the sniper, and the conversions are very nice. Are you sure that a sergeant with a bolter is legal? I dont know the imp dex however

I believe only Officers can carry a Bolter. Sergeants have the choice of a stock Lasgun, or a Close Combat Weapon/Pistol combo

The Standard Bearer is in a very heroic pose indeed, can't wait to see more of this army!

These guys have a lot of character and there's a few things I may have to steal for future troops i.e. pouches on the bolter.

I hope you go back and remove the flash/mold lines from the models. Be a shame to put all this work into it and not do that.

hmmm.... your models seem to be a bit to cluttered. conversions need to be ALOT more subtle.

i dont understand that plasmagunner. the cables should connect to the muzzle.

and lasguns dont fine ammunition as such but lasers.

I'm pretty sure I remember, in either is 'dex or the last, that they started stock with a Lasgun but could exchange for a pistol + CC at no charge. Or maybe I'm just high on peanut butter and crack.

Unless I'm totally blind and missing something pretty serious, I'm retty sure that this time round sergeants are limited to laspistol and CCW :(

with the ballistic mags i was goin for a custom style amunition type for the lasgun *lascharges? in a clip* with more shots in the one clip because they might not have access for a recharging source? thou it will be mixed to give the ragtag personal weapon feel, and will work with my ak 47 lookin las gun, the plasma gun i was trying to create a custom personaly made plasma gun from slavaged bits, the plasma gunner will have the catachan madic head and i green stuffed the head to make a ninja looking mask and the bionic eyes probly hiding a scar and eyes were damaged in a previous plasma overheat accident? also needs a bit of fixing

yes it needs lots of cleaning up too

Erm... You know that Las Cells can be recharged by throwing them on an open flame, right? If your lasgun runs out and there's no charger around, throw it on your campfire and leave it for a few hours. It shortens the life of the cell, but as long as there's the potential for fire, you'll have a charge source. I'd just stick with saying they're autoguns.

for the plasma gun i would level the gap between the cables and the nozzle so the are adjacent and then fill the space with a peice of SQUARE!!!! sprue.

UPDATE* just got back and have made progress on building my army, my hobby knife broke *dont ask why* and i need to get a new one and scrape mold lines
witch is so much fun......... so i have for you all my infantry platoon and 2/3 of my heavy weapon squad, command squad, sentinal and veteran squad

the new plastic sentinal let me down *although the pasma cannon was a goody* the old heads were better even thou they were metal, the new ones are just heavy weapon team heads. I realy wanted the one with goggles on the helmet and the pilot looking one =(

Really? I got a head with a leather-helmet and googles deal in my Battleforce, which has the new sentinel sprues. Your sentinel looks almost identical to mine, excepting that mine has a giant spotlight glued to the side and a lascannon instead of a PC...

That beret you did on that Vet is simply awesome... it looks just like I remember from when I used to have to wear one. Flash and everything! I am duly impressed.

and yea i was suprised with that particular beret, the others were not as perfect but still looked decent *first time ive used green stuff to model something and not just fill gaps for arm joins n stuff*

wow thanks for the put down =D made me feel goodabout this army, yes it is a hunterkiller rack, i was builting my sentinal and looked at it for a second and it reminded me kinda of a 50 cal. sniper barrel so i got to work with a cut up SM caiptain storm bolter clip, bolter grip and SM bolter scope
i also gave him a grapel rope thingy majigy on his back so they can like rapel up buildings so it makes sense that there infiltrators. but i has some ideas with the snipers, i could paint there skin realy white and say there a new abhuman race that are weaker but deadly aim? *id describe it more but its just an idea* or a special unit of sniper soldiers who were selected at birth for special training *these would make sense for the ratling profiles T 2 S 2 characteristic*

My only criticism on the pred is that the washes appear to be applied a tad too heavily. What's the story behind the Pred?

I like all the heavy weapon squads but the one with the barrels is the most characterful.
I also liked the (medic)? with his lasgun in the ground.

To me it looks like the predator has just drive through a muddy river and has the water slowly draining off it. If you want to stick to that look, I'd increase the mud levels around the bottom, otherwise it's difficult to imagine how the dirt was distributed in such a fashion

ok so the 1337 predator tank is part of the imperial fists 7th company that assisted the braxis 1st regiment during the logahn system crusade against the renegade forces of chaos, do describe the wethering i set the IF forces during the final conflict in the capitol planet braxis witch fell to the renegades during the first years of the war... k back to the point, the hive city cronux was orbitaly bombarded by the 7th company's small fleet and some imperial navy ships, the bombardment broke the cities badly maintained shield generators and reduced a bulk of the hive into a muddy marsh so the final battle took place in this muddy setting with atilerry shells digging up splatters of mud and leaving puddles of muddy water where the shell had impacted.

im thinking of writing the story up but in the mean time its a W.I.P campaign story

also to explain the graffiti on the tanks, the braxis regiment are full of careless un-orthidox behaved soldiers that tend to personalise there equipment *explains the different guns* and when off the battle field some tend to graffiti squad markings and personal markings on debri destroyed tanks and sometimes there own tanks.

note that the IF tanks on field were matinenced by IG technitions due to limited tech-marines in the war
