Hey, was just wondering if anyone else is waiting for stuff to be delivered from wayland games. I placed an order on 27th of June, and it has still not been dispatched. The things I ordered were all in stock. I know that they have been having problems with citadel finecast returns, but in their letter they said that would be cleared up by last week. I have not heard anything else that would keep their processing time this long.

Anyone else waiting for their stuff to be dispatched or is it just me? Has anyone got their email adress so I can inquire about my order cant seem to find it on their site.

Cheers

It may just be the pre-embargo sale lag...

Though, I received my order from maelstrom on time, I am still awaiting a blister pack from a previous order... placed in March!

Sometimes the 'in stock' items aren't actually in stock.

Maybe shoot them an e-mail see what they have to say.

I find Maelstrom and Wayland to be very slow, and have waited several months for things in the past. Especially PP stuff! Still, can't fault the range and prices, though.

Wayland have had a massive order backlog because of the panic buying before the Southern Hemisphere embargo, which they mention on their page, and that has been the cause of most of the delays - even for non GW stuff. Apparently, they should be back to normal now. Personally, I have been waiting for some PP stuff for 3/4 weeks now.

Yeah, what Filbert said.

Wayland are actually pretty good at having a decent stock in my experience and are generally better than Mealstrom to the point where I don't really use the latter anymore because of the wait.

This doesn't help the OP but I'm sure a call would resolve the exact situation.

You aren't alone Gadge! I placed an order with Wayland on the 30th of June which hasn't been despatched either.

To contact them you need to follow this link:

Hello

Your order is currently in the queue to be dispatched and should be leaving the warehouse on Monday.

I find Maelstrom to be pretty reliable but have never used wayland, A friend however has had 2 orders of non GW stuff (mainly paints and brushes) the first was nearly a month wait the second was 2 weeks for which he had paid for first class delivery. I appreciate they may have a backlog but the changes to GW policy have been known for a while and they should have anticipated the influx of orders this would cause in the short term and got in some temporary packers or something.

In short if you cant deliver quick enough on the orders you have you shouldnt be taking more.

I cant say that I can find fault with them.

Ordered twice, once for only a couple of quid, second for (almost) couple hundred both came through quickly. Slight delay on the second, but I had great customer service from them.

I will definately be using them again in the future.

They got the orders pretty much a week before it went into effect, which lead to an explosion in sales for that last minute rush. I know I participated in it
It was never known as well, only rumoured until they got the terms of agreement.

The influx of orders they would have received is above and beyond any possible estimates they could have made.
Its unfair and unreasonable to tell them they should have prepared for such a thing

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Placed my first ever order with them exactly 3 weeks ago today for 3 items, none of them GW items, all of them apparently in stock (all on green lights) and my order was sat processing for about 2 weeks, and now they are "awaiting stock", though their store still has all three items as green "in stock".

I anticipated a short delay because of the influx of other orders due to GW being idiots, but 3 weeks (and still no sign of light at the end of the tunnel)? That is pushing it a bit, especially when it looks like they didn't even look at my order for 2 of them. Also resisted contacting them because I know they are tied up with extra orders (and it asks people not to because of all the extra orders ).

The only reason I ordered from them was because Maelstrom don't carry the model range I bought.

It's post-embargo backlog.

My pre-embargo order was placed May 25th, was shipped June 17th and arrived July 1st.

Just be patient. It will show up.

I've not had a problem with them for my last two orders - in fact they seem to be getting faster. I ordered the plastic AoW Beserker/slayers late Thursday and got them on Saturday. I think they're aiming for same day shipping before a certain time.

As others have said it may be the remainder of the backlog or not having up to date system info, or with PP stuff it's probably the fact that PP can't produce enough stuff at the moment

I have emailed them, will see what they say tomorrow, does seem a long time to dispatch something though, paid extra for 1st class, waste of money. I normally go with giftsfrogeeks, but I noticed that Wayland Games prices are cheaper than theirs now.

Oh and another question has anyone else signed up for the free sprue from warlord games? Just wondering if anyone has recieved their sprue and what they got?

Heres the link if you want to sign up yourself

Yeah, don't order faster delivery methods, as they have no bearing on dispatch times. I once paid over £40 to get Forgeworld to express post two Macharius tanks. They took two days to get from the UK to Australia. Unfortunately it took two months for them to actually ship them in the first place.

Waste of time and money.

i ordered £300 of stuff from wayland 2 weeks ago exactly and all on green lights (instock) emailed them last week and was told would ship by end of last week, still not dispatched.
2 other guys at my club have been waiting nearly 3 weeks.

there are other places that offer similar discounts now (some even better on certsain lsystems) so i think they need to sort this out or will lose trade.
why not update there front page to reflect the reality each day i.e todays orders shipping from __/__/__

come on wayland sort it out

I also commented on what I thought were shortcomings in Wayland's communication. They do communicate with customers but, I feel they could make more of an effort. I got stiff, though mostly curteous reply from the head honcho. Apparantly, their facebook page and the newletter are better sources of info.

My own addendum to the Wayland saga - been waiting a month or so for a Warmachine rulebook, template set and some tokens to arrive. Finally got the package this morning, only half the order in it. Logged on to the Wayland site and saw that they have refunded me for the template set and a token set but didn't bother to tell me. So essentially, I have wasted a month waiting for something to turn up only to find out it isn't in stock and I should have gone elsewhere anyway.

I got an email to say they had dispatched my order on Tuesday and the package turned up on Wednesday. Just a shame there was such a long wait between order and dispatch.

Placed my order on the 12th of June, got it last week. It was during the post embargo madness though. I also believe they are moving stuff in a new warehouse and reshuffling their stocks in a new location, something like that.

Just placed a new order last night (all green lighted stuff). I'm curious to see how this one is going to be handled considering the backlog is supposedly dealt with.

What's the point?

1). Forgeworld don't respond to E-mails.
2). I did, technically, get the express post I paid for as it did show up in 2 days of leaving their warehouse. That's really fast... shame about the 2 month way for it to ship though.

That's odd. When they removed the Cephalyx Overlords from my Wayland Order (only the second company to do that - why are these models out of stock everywhere???) they E-mailed me about it.

My personal experience with Wayland is that the time from confirmation of purchase to product arriving at the door step is at least 1 month minimum. My order during the embargo madness took 2 months.

It seems to take them longer to process the order than to actually post it (this comment based of multiple dealings with Wayland).

I've found maelstrom to be faster then wayland, and their customer service is pretty good.

I asked for them to draw a wizard on the box on one of my orders, and lo and behold, a box arrives 2 weeks later with a wizad waving a didgeridoo wand to summon a kangaroo, it was pretty genius

Last order to wayland was on the 14th of june and it still says awaiting stock but it has the green 'in stock' circle on the page but i credit that to the backlog they had, they must still be getting their heads around it and with all the finecast returns and also trying to find a loop hole in GW no southern hemisphere policy. Must be pretty darn busy

Ah man that sucks about the 2 month forgeworld order, i've only placed one order with them, had an extra 1 in the post code (i was in a rush) so i emailed them about it, the ordered shipped before they replied -.- then the email said they can't change it because it's already left... uh yeah, no
It turned up luckily though

I did a pretty big order just days before the embargo kicked in and got my stuff within a couple of weeks. Granted, it wasn't the new, popular stuff (the warhammer rulebook and about 1000 points worth of vampire counts), but I got it pretty quick.

I did get an email. I got an email saying all my items had been dispatched and sent; it was only when the package arrived and I opened it to find only half the stuff in it that I knew something was up. I then checked the order status on the Wayland website and saw that it said two of the items had been refunded. Apparently, they couldn't tell me in the intervening month or so that my order was on 'processing'. It probably has something to do with the PP sale (the items that I didn't get were a token set and the Warmachine template set) but considering they are both listed as 'green light' items on Wayland's website....

Not impressed - won't be using Wayland again unfortunately. But then again, I won't use Maelstrom either because they seem to be interminably slow (I haven't had a single order from them arrive in under 3 weeks). I guess its time to try a different option such as Dark Sphere - probably better for me since I don't order GW stuff any more.
