I think Space Wolf troops are a fail. My dad plays them and from math hammer, do not use their terminator weapons. It is not worth is only for the fact that getting terminators is a better option since you have +1 A, don't need to pay for power fists ect. and they have a frekin 2+ save! I would recommend the average bolter/ storm bolter or plasma pistols, don't get too heavy there.

I have no idea what you're trying to say, except that there seems to be some implication that Space Wolf Troops are not amazing. Blood Claws are not amazing; but Grey Hunters are arguably the best Troops choice in the game, of course.

Just bored and had drempt off. I don't agree with you if you think about the math against terminators... Grey knight troops are way better!

Well, if Terminators are the majority of opposing models you face, then Strike squads would seem to be more useful for you.

For 200 points, you get 5 naked terminators...for 200 points you get a fully kitted out squad of Grey Hunters with Plasma Guns...and the end result is...a 10 man unit that eats those 5 terminators breakfast and then spoon feeds their feces to the terminators.

Point for point, Grey Hunters are far superior to Terminators in most regards. While the 5 man Terminators seem more survivable, you need to look at what they will be facing and the fact that you can spread wounds over 10 bodies as compared to 5. Let's not forget that on the Charge, Grey Hunters will have as many attacks PER MODEL as the Terminators would PER MODEL. That's 30 attacks from the hunters coming at you as compared to 15. And if the Grey Hunters are charged, more than likely they will still have 3 attacks while your terminators will only have 2.

Maybe you're not reading the right section and/or not reading the unit name right. I am talking about GREY HUNTERS not WOLF GUARD. Wolf Guard Terminators are good for nothing in all honesty. The only one that is worth his weight is Arjac...but that is a topic for another discussion. Under Troops for Space Wolves, you will clearly see that GREY HUNTERS are significantly less than 40 points a pop, even more, a full squad of 10 is under 200 points...you still have quite a few points for Wargear...

Ah. Yes, I suppose. Although, I have ran smack into a loganstar once or twice, and seen it hit a paladin unit...and every time it has touched something in CC, its target has exploded.

The only good terminator is a terminator with a storm shield. I really wouldn't compare to terminators, it's far better to compare to tac marines (as sad as that may be) or guard.

Depends. Did the BA get the fearless and furious charge? Do you like it more than combat tactics for your purposes?

Blood Angel Tacticals? Nah.

They don't have the option to break away from close combat, and are fairly bad in close combat with a single attack, even with furious charge. Could give them a Sanguard, but then you may as well use an assualt squad.

Tacticals have always been a relatively weak unit in the marine assinal. Codex marines generally don't take more then the baseline of them anyways, due to their strange weapon arrangements and the ineffectiveness of the bolter compared to other space marine armour.

As for main thread, got no idea what you are talking about. Please state troop names you are comparing. Grey Hunters are actually one of the best valued troops choices in a Space Marine army, Wolf guard generally do make good troops with Logen if properly minitored (in otherwords, don't go overboard on buying stuff for them. Point for point, thunder hammer storm sheild termies cost 23 points more then the space marine equilent.)

I lvoe played against Space Wolf termie armies, it almost can win most of the time.

I don't think anything can beat a unit of 20 stealers,in combat.on the charge thats 60,ws6 s5 i6 rending attacks.anything that survives doesnt have the attacks to even it out and gets run down in a sweeping advance.in the shooting ther crap

To be fair though, Space Wolf terminators have counter-attack and can be kitted however you want... not exactly worth the huge points mark-up, but still...
