My favorite by far is the Blood Angels. Firstly because of Sanguinius, I mean honestly he should have been the Warmaster to begin with. He was level headed and pure of heart. Loyalty to his Imperium and Father to the very bitter end. The mere fact that his death stained the gene-seed of his Astarte son's amazes me. Redthirst/black rage is absolutely fascinating, and at the same time very sad. It adds immense depth to there chapter. Which brings me to the Death Company. They basically turn into savage killing machines! They of the likes of the forces of Chaos however they fight for the imperium! I mean these guys get annihilated in battle, there body's torn to shreds and they are so filled with rage and vigor they don't even notice it, shrugging it off like nothing. Other things i'll mention briefly, they were one of the only Legions on terra during the civil war, and the book about them fighting the word bearer's is amazing. I don't want to write too much but theres plenty more things that make me admire them!!

What do the rest of yall think?

Crimson fists, plain and simple. Probably because of my own mindset of going for the underdog, but they are absolutely awesome.

Ultramarines. They almost singlehandedly prevented the Imperium from fragmenting after the Heresy, as well as writing the Codex Astartes and having an awesome colour scheme.

The ultramarines are very noble in nature and admirable in my eyes as well

Mentor Legion.

Field testing new weaponry, teaching the imperium to move forward, leading the imperial guard and shrugging off superstition. They are the Sun Tzu of marine chapters.

Also a great colour scheme.

Exorcists in the first place
but I wouldn't play them, if they where not by far my favourite chapter.

I think the second place is much more interesting. For me it would be the Imperial Fists and their Legion.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

The Raven Guard. They try to use clever and smart tactics (hit and run, tactical/strategic insertion) and are still able to maintain dignity even after Corax's attempted cloning campaign.

I will put in a second vote for the Crimson Fist: There steadfast and stuborn doctrine in face of all danger, and having been brought to the edge of extiction more than once has only sharpen those attributes. With the Day of foundation and the fact that look at what they have accomplish, and what they have failed. They show a humility so few chapters are willing to admit.

I will put the sons of guilliman second simply because of there pure skills in adaptility.

White Scars.
VROOM VROOM
But in all honesty. They are like a less crazy space wolves. And because the are a good fast hitting army.
When Given the chance to wipe out all xeno's on a planet they refuse to participate because civilians would die.
I believe one even killed a xenos to grant him a warriors death.
They refuse to torture enemies and they ride bikes.

Hah white scars are pretty cool. They are like beyond special forces. I read a short story about them in Heroes of the space marines and was highly impressed.

I'm not that massive a fan of marines. Or yellow. But they make me giggle, Commissar Fuklaw is hilarious / brilliant and it's one of the few marine chapters with widespread, interesting conversion options.

I've always been a huge fan of Ultramarines. Everything about them is just great. Their Greeko-Romanesque influence is one of their cooler attributes which isn't utalized as much as it could be. And their Primarch is a badass.

That and I love the colors

Ultramarines are alright, but I like the Novamarines better. Got myself an army of them. Anyways, my favorite chapter would have to be Executioners, or Minotaurs.

And they shall know fear

Mine is Alpha Legion. I love the mystique, their combat doctrine, their Primarch(s), the fact they are so different than any other chapter/Legion, and their color scheme. I like pretty much everything about em actually. I also really like Black Templars. They are my favorite loyalist chapter.

Thousand Sons Battleship wandering the galaxy...

Thousand Sons (pre-Heresy) Legion and the Blood Ravens. If a traitor legion is in question, I would pick Black Legion.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

'She sat on the corner, gulping the soup down, uncaring of the heat of it. They had grown more watery as of late she noted, but she wasn't about to beggar food from the Imperials or the "Bearers of the Word." Tau, despite their faults at least didn't have a kill policy for her race.'

Blood Ravens, the warrior mystic thing has always appealed to me, plus who doesn't like a good redemption story?

I just wish they had a special character or some special rules...
