If you lived in the 40k universe, what would you like to be (Within reason, as we can't have 30-something Abbaddons, we just don't need that amount of fail ).

I would be a chaos scorcerer, working for chaos undivided in the black legion. The reason being that psykers are some of the coolest things in 40k (IMO), and I like the idea of being able to troll people with magical powers etc

If you see slaanesh, just look away.

A farmer who lives on an Agri World in Segmentum Solar very close to Terra where I am by and large safe. Barring that, a storm trooper, I get to remain a normal human while still being an extremely competent soldier.

Edit: Actually I would probably make a good commissar.

In Da Mek Shop.

Realisticly speaking id be an average nobody slaving away in the great imperial machine till I die. Kinda like life as it is. Minus the imperial machine.

However if I could pick whatever id like... I'd like to be a Necron Overlord.
As to why... well.. Immortal and pretty much indestructable. And even if my body is destroyed I can transfer my consciousness to a backup. Hell yeah. Though preferably with my sanity intact.

My first choice would have been a Tau battlesuit pilot. ( its a battlesuit. nuff said ) But Tau only live an average of 40 years. So yeah.. Immortal super robot overlord it is. Besides im sure necrons could build a battlesuit of their own. Heck with mind transfer interface you could BE the battlesuit. but I digress.

Ork WAAAGH Zapzog: roughly 4000 points and ever growing. Tau Cadre of Zuran'Ki: 3000 points. Grey Knights Interdiction Force Galeon : 2500 points. Tyranid Hive Fleet Crateria: 2500 Points. The Host of Hadrekon: 1500 points. Catachan 44th Swamp hunters. 800 points.

2000 points Skaven Army. Arcsqueeks Horde 1000 points Vampire Counts Army. Duke Valmai's Court. 1000 Points Dwarven Army. Bhor Grimhammers Throng. Planning to get some Ogres later this year.
Curse you Snake-eyes!

Nothing. There is no right answer to this, unlike Star Wars, Star Trek, or even Dune, as far as Sci-Fi settings go, 40k is just about the worst possible as far as 'Would you want to live here?' goes.

No corruption, no devotion to the unholy gods, just me, some faithful marines, one name Xarl, because that's just a f*cking awesome name, a good ship, and lots of raiding.

Preferably a splinter group of the original Legions, not like those cowardly thin-blood mongrels who flock to the banners of the Blood Reaver.

Combines the two best things ever conceived by human kind: honest piracy, and Space Marines.

Definitely would want to be an inquisitor. Failing that, a storm trooper in an inquisitor's retinue. Bad assery at it's best.

To be honest, when I first read your post, I thought you wrote "shooting rival gingers" and was wondering why there was a readheaded turf war.

However, since I was a real life Marine, I guess I'd end up as a Veteran Sergeant in some chapter being groomed for eventual captaincy.
