Most women kissing these days are not really gay, they're trying it out because society not only approves of 2 girls kissing society encourages it to happen. Society says lesbians=hot, so women with a weak sense of self esteem, that need validation that they are sexy, and need to feel they have a leg up on other women go out and get drunk so they can run around as faux lesbians for the attention. It's ok ladies, just look at all the slowed crap young men with a weak sense of self esteem get themselves into.
It's human nature for both men and women want to feel attractive to the opposite sex, and be the envy of their own gender. Women are actually in some ways less complicated than men because being attractive to the opposite sex is one of the quickest way for women to be the envy of their own gender, while men will often find what makes them attractive to the opposite sex is very often not what makes them the envy of their own gender.
Actual sexual orientation is hardwired into the brain, because if it wasn't damn near everybody would be gay because most people get along better with their own gender which would have resulted in our extinction as a species a long time ago.

Actually, women are (physically) turned on by any sexual stimuli. Gay, straight, lesbian, and even animal pornography will get a similar sexual response from a woman.
Whereas men are more turned on by sexual stimuli that matches their orientation. A straight man will only get a strong reaction from straight and lesbian pornography.

That's pretty far off because women have far less of a connection between vision and sex, and thus enjoy watching pornography far less than men. Men are far more hardwired towards purely visual mate selection than women.

Well, one of them spent several years studying the mating habits of Japanese Macaques...
And remember, I'm only talking about physically being turned on, ie, increased circulation to the genitals. Women are also physically turned on by pretty much any sexual encounter, even rape situations. A strong factor that I did not mention in my earlier post was emotional factors (for example, physically, women will be aroused by rape situations, but emotionally is a completely different reaction). One of my professor's masters students is doing a study on why this happens. I think she just published a paper on it, not too sure.
It's even stranger when you consider that men do not follow that pattern. Men are almost only turned on physically by what also turns them on emotionally and psychologically.

Perhaps men are only turned on by physical beauty for evolutionary reasons. The woman who is the prettiest usually is the most fertile. I was watching a program on the discovery Channel that showed a time lapse of a woman throughout her menstruel cycle. During the peak, she was very pretty. At the end, she was less pretty.
