Iv picked up a fair few vials of weak blood from some snow trolls also.

After the patch they dropped at a half-decent rate.

Also, I now have two characters over level ten. I just hope Sylvari are available next weekend so that I can play my martial classes!

Well the headache has cleared pretty much today, a slight echo, but that should go through the day as I drink fluids.

Anyone testing the ping US to EU, and vica versa yet?

From my testing there is no discernible difference between US and EU lag, it lags more when there are lots of people but that's independent of server.

Mel has been playing a lot on riverside so she can give you a good description of the lag for a US player on an EU server.

I can't believe I managed to pump in 10+ hours and I'm still in the starting zone.

This is great.

Pity that I can't keep him after the beta. Managed to unlock all my weapon skills as well.

Lag is dependent entirely upon how many players are nearby for me..

I have a couple questions about GW2.
First, the world type: Is the world regions connected by tunnels (AKA WoW) or open landscape (AKA Skyrim)?
Secondly, what are the best guesses for release date?

Open landscape in some cases, tunnels in others. It varies. In one case, for example, there's a Norn city that's a fortress at the end of a pass, while in another case in the Human area it's a relatively free walk from one "town" to the next.

I'd estimate late Q2 release myself.

Found a good place to farm Weak Blood. The Giant Bats in the Cemetary next to Divinities Reach seems to drop them quite a bit (I only went through it once and got three vials), though they only seem to be their at night.

Hopefully June then? excellent.
But hopefully not before finals.

Sadface, I wasn't able to get as much gaming in today as I wanted. Ah well, it's just the beta, not like it carries over in to the release anyway.

That's why I didn't make it a point to play it so much; I don't want to go through the entire Human Starting area five times only to have to do it again during Release.

I'll try Sylvari and Asura Starter Quests, but that's about it for the Beta for me.

Well, i've managed to get my Ele to level 14 with 74 Tailor and 49 Artificer levels, in about a day's worth of playing, so i'm calling that pretty decent.

What sucks is that I couldn't hit 15 in time, and lack the mats for another level of each profession to hit 75 and 50 respectively >.<

Well, that finale was rather fun. Giant Raccoons and Veteran Black Moas that were nightmares to defeat. As usual, quantity of players provided the quality to slaughter them until Anet just kicked everyone.

Gained like 4 levels during that finale.

I gained half (was already over halfway through 14 when we started, and hit just over 15) but the Great Moa Slaughter shall be remembered on Riverside for a while.

EDIT: I'm now off to hibernate until the next beta event.

I got to pvp a fair bit with my guardian. The only troubles I had was with a lack of being able to cripple people so they kept escaping me.

Sadly I slept through the finale as I was kicked off the PC at 4am then promptly fell asleep

I managed to get to level 22 on my human engy with 128 cooking and 25 jewellery though, pretty happy with that. Bring on the next beta!

I tested out my super-adrenal crit monster build.

I hit 9000 with a crit once. That was glorious.

I then improved my build by quite a bit. Then I had no time to test it. )':

9000! crazy lol.

I think most of my hits on people were in the hundreds not the thousands lol.

I was hitting like 60

Pretty sure I smashed a bunny for about 13000...lol

Actually now you mention it I think I did gib some rabbits with my rocket kick for a few thousand.

So what do people think of the classes they wanted to try out?

I ended up trying Guardian, Necro, Elementalist and Mesmer and Im pretty set on the Guardian.

Engineer is so damn good

I'll be trying Warrior or Guardian next beta weekend.

I fought an engineer, he put a turret down then ran in circles till I died. Slippery bugger lol.

I'm just having barrels of fun with my Fire Ele at the moment. At first I thought scepter and off-hand was the way to go, purely because of the giant flaming spike you hurl down for your second weapon-specific attack, but then I caved and tried a staff, and loved it; Meteor Shower is quite fun.

The only thing is that i'm collecting Power and Precision above Vitality and Toughness, so i'm as squishy as a sloppy gak.

Please note that the 9000 crit was in the Mists, and I was testing it on the Asuran test golems.
