It's so nice that you're defending my honour, but just to clarify, I saved the pics to my HD from links provided a few posts above my first picture post so that I could re-post them for the work-blocked. That's the extend of my 'heroism' in this thread. I was just helping the work-blocked. The pics did not originally come from me.

I don't know who would be, but I've seen an awesome conversion of a Trygon/Mawloc into the Red Terror. Basically involves a Mawloc, Carnifex shell piece (for the shape of the head), and big scything talons.

Wish we had a better view on the T-Fex, because I actually liked the idea of the gun being part of the jaw. But he and the Tervigon look like their artwork and I've got no complaints about that at all, can't wait to get one.

Still, these things seem massive, and I'm loving how both of them look. The Tyrant kit looks nice as well... I was really hoping for a physically larger presence from the swarmlord though... guess he's getting his own base to put him above the other Tyrants. But the wings look perfect for nids and frankly are long overdue.

Now... as to the singular complaint... those boneswords and lashwhips better look amazing. Because I have a sneaky suspicion that they just took the old 3rd ed warrior arms and recast them; those are NOT worth that price.

That Tyrannofex is one big beasty...

I have a magnetized tyrant that can take wings/devourers/boneswords so the only use for the new flyrant would be as a harpy.

I have built 2 of my own tervigons from carnifexes so won't buy one now that's so different in size. Mine are on oval bases and with a similar stat-line to the carnifex I have no problem over size.

Now the TFex looks a sweet model, shame it's a 265 point WS3 no twin-linked ball of overcosted fail in game terms though. Still I'm liikely to get 1 for friendly stuff though.

Sorry, but where and when did I say it was crawling behind my lines? Nice presumption, but it kinda shows a lack of experience as a Tyranid player. Depending on the opponent's army, I'll often advance my Tervis (and obviously Trygons) to go up and combat things/keep catalyst up, then move off to assault other stuff once in midfield. With intelligent screening, your opponent won't get your tervis into combats they don't want to be in. What about Tyrannofexen as well, as they're big enough to offer cover too? Again, it's sometimes a good idea to advance them up (for stuff like mid-game anti-infantry shooting) and Trygons will get the cover benefits as well. If you're really that concerned about moving the Tervis up, but still want cover for them, I recommend careful positioning of the Trygons to screen the Tervis and/or Venomthropes.

The Red Terror had always been available in metal.

The Codex says it's either the size of a Ravener or a Mawloc. Regardless, it's essentially a Ravener. Old rules treated it like a Mawloc.

Yeah, its size and base size means it really can only be fielded as a Ravener. And note that the Red Terror fluff is located on the Raveners page.

Ah, apparently the bonesword and lashwhips upgrade sprues are in the same resin as the barriers and basing kits, not in Finecast.

After picking up the new white dwarf I must say; those new models are awesome! I also like the black\yellow paintscheme for tyrannids that phil kelly has used for his. Another army added to the list of stuff I want to have at some point in the future

Also I can confirm that there are no extra rules for any new Tyranid monster in the WD, they just copied the rules from Tervigon and Tyrannofex on one page each for whatever reason. The third weapon option is indeed the Hive thingy.

I'm thinking now about all the extra tyrannofex bits I will have leftover after making a tervigon.

Wonder if I could take the leftover rupture cannon and put it on the back of a carnifex to make a decent looking biovore.

Yeah I know. I just hate the way the Biovore's look. Like they swallowed an ork and absorbed its essence.

I actually will get a few of those lash whips, hate the third party ones and hadnt found a good way to make my own.

Its a shame that the Lash Whips are only for the right arm, when I know they could have made both right armed bits and left armed bits. Now I'm going to have to convert the left arm for both of my Tyrant Guard.
