You should model a psycannon on the termie, its tons of fun to be able to fire 3 rounds a turn at 35 inches and move at the same time, no invun save! Yay!

Psycannons typically cost 30pts to give to a DH Inquisitor or Grey Knight Hero

I've found that in hand to hand inquisitors are still very human especially going up against other termie armoured troops. Since inside 18 inches a psycannon becomes an assault weapon you can get your licks in and still punch em in the face

Those two models look great Hits_the_spot, I'm loving the chestpiece on the Inq Lord as well.

Wait, wait, wait. I'm a litle late to the party here, but does this trooper have a krak grenade strapped to his...helmet?

Spectacular posing, conversion, and paint all around, though. Very smooth and the brown-to-black work on the armor is top-notch.

Really nice work. I particularly like the storm trooper sgt with his sod-off shotgun/hellgun. Really well posed to.

Well, here they are, the pic promised from above, not done much to the Rex mini, just base colours and washes, will detail it tomorrow. The Inq Lord is alright, but im not that happy with it, as said above, it is a test model.

Yet another mini update, Ive done the gold on the Rex mini and bases coated my Test Inq Lord, im planning on do him very weathered. Aslo, as you can see, i have changed the back ground for my photos, still think i need a better camera tho.

Any Q/C/C welcome.

Rex - Iv got to say, the photos don't do justice to the gold, i does need a thin wash to bring it together, ill do that at the end, but im quite pleased with it so far.

Just finished the Reds on the Rex mini, Sponged the Ing lord with some 50/50 black/Brown, and put some paint on another mini i got through the post a few days ago.

With this, i wanted to do something a little different, you always see blue/grey pilots, but not many green.

Love the work your doing especially that converted inquisitor. I think once I see a base on those they will really stand out, atm sadly it's detracting a bit but I utterly love the paint jobs none the less. Cheers.

Done a little more work to the pilot and Inq Rex,

Their faces are both done, although i'm most pleased with the pilot, i think i might touch up Rex's at a later date.

The Rex face is a little too messy and cold, but the Camera does make it look a little worse.

Also highlighted the armour and a few other bits, inc the sword, which needs more work, highlights and a couple of washes.

What do you think? Q/C/C welcome.

I love it honestly. I have to say your work on the pilot is amazing, but I would have to agree with you that rex's face vs the pilots is like oil and water to compete opposites.the rest of rex is amazing and I can't wait to see what you do for it.

Thanks for the comments, i think a wash and re highlight will sort out the Rex face.

As for vehicles, i have started a Warhound, but is stilling unfinished in my work room and i would like to do a Valk, but I have to admit that after finishing the Rex mini, and perhaps the Inq lord, i might start another side project, as i have a few interesting ideas floating around, mainly for sculpting.

Oh ya, i will be Ebaying the pilot when its finished and maybe even the Rex mini if anyones interested.

I think so too, but he does have ALOT going on, so much detail, i still haven't finished him, still got loads of tiny cables to paint up.

Have just done a few more coats on the pilot tho, and added a base, but i'm not happy with it, the base is going to have to be changed. WIP

If anything I like the pilot more than Rex, as the former's just beautifully simple in his execution. I'm inspired to rethink and redo my guard from this. Superb stuff.

i have to agree, the pilot is my favourite so far. I can put my figure on what i don't like about the rex mini, may just too much going on? And i spoz it could be a little tidier.

Well, I'm not sure about the basing on Rex: I like it, but he's already leanng backwards so looks awkward with leg angle, esp at left foot. If anything, how about rotating him 180? As for paint scheme, I think I just prefer your more naturalistic work; stunning as Rex is, by his very nature he doesn't lend himself to that. Don't get me wrong - paintjob is outstanding, esp object light sourcing, in a league I can only be envious of - but I prefer pilot, that's all.

The pilot is brilliant, I have to say that Rex has one of the coolest powere weapon effects I've ever seen. I can't wait to see your Inquisitor version. For the Inquisitor Dreadnaught do you mean the Karamazov Throne of Judgement model. If so I'm not a big fan of the model and feel it could be far better executed or a Grey Knight Dreadnaught could be made.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Thanks Llamahead, the sword is meant to look like caged lightning, i think its a little to light in colour tho, i think i would do the blues in green if i did it again.

As for the Dread, i wasn't thinking of the Throne of Judgement, as i to dislike the miniature, i was thinking more of a converted venerable dread, and GW have just released there plastic kit, so i might have to purchase one soon, but unfortunately i have alot on again so i don't know when i will get a chance to attempt it, iv also got a few things i want to do before that.

I have seen then, but im not looking at doing a standard dread, my idea would involve alot of cutting, chopping and sculpting. So i don't think they would be a wise spend.

Im working on the pilot atm and will post a finished pic or two soon.
