My point exactly and you don't see that many Mordian armies nocking around except on ebay………….

Actually, Praetorians look much different than mordians. Mordian's are wearing a distinct coat and dress pants while Praetorians wear a more tunic-style uniform.

I see alot of Cadian armies on Ebay too, does this mean no one is collecting them? It depends on where you are, I see Mordian armies all the time in the U.S.

Not sure where you're getting that idea. The Praetorian guard models were just Mordians with a head swap, originally made for a Games Day display board. There is absolutely no difference to the uniforms. Just different heads.

Cadian armies are bought in larger amounts so no wonder that there is loads nocking around on ebay I would say in greater quantities than Mordian ever bought, my point though was your quote about praetorians I have seen quite a few armies of these (more than mordian) over here and as they were available for less time than Mordians I would say that there was a higher demand for them.

There are a lot of similarities between both models as I can tell looking in the 2000 to 2003 imperial guard collectors guide but the only real difference being the head I am afraid the actual legs arms and torso's look pretty much identical………..

Here is a sneak peak of something in the works. Its a "Victorian" Laser gun. Final version has an underslung bayonet. I am making sets of arms holding these which will fit nicely with the current conversion bits and the next wave of releases ; ) Stay tuned.....

Pretty much exactly what I was hoping for. Looking forward to seeing the arms.

I know this is probably asking a lot Vic but I don't suppose you would consider doing some 40k style napoleonic miniatures, bear skin heads las muskets that kind of thing. I have considered converting some stuff myself but to be honest 1 I am to lazy 2 (the real reason) I don't have that much talent so with a big plea maybe just maybe it is something you would consider doing in the future……….. Your half way there and we could use the Highland guard sets with them increasing sales again

Yeah, that lasgun is awesome. Vaguely reminiscent of the RT-era lasgun, but I'm not sure why... it's certainly chunkier and more like an actual gun.

Reminds me of the DKoK's version

Love the lasgun! Could be some problems getting the guardsmen to hold it however, unless I chopped off the trigger that is.

I think the plan is to sculpt arms holding the gun.

Hi Vic as for tabs I would keep them as it gives people the option of having them (can be removed if not ) I would answered your poll but I am not on Facebook (shocker I know) but hey, mind you glad I checked it out those squid alien heads are marvellous.

I was thinking of building a boarding crew diorama and wanted some other races present and you have filled that gap now how long to I can get my hands on some of these and will you be expanding on this range I hope so . Don't suppose any chance of expanding this range with bodies arms and legs ?

Thanks for all the great feedback and suggestions,
I've just added a preview pic to the Victoria Miniatures Facebook page. These are some new bits that are in next week's release. I've assembled and painted them to represent one of my favourite Guard regiments. I'll post a notice when they are in the store (Monday, fingers crossed).
Releases for next week are:
Pith Helmet Heads
Balmoral Cap Heads
Brodie Helmet Heads
Squid Heads
Victorian Torsos
Rough Rider Legs
Rough Rider Arms

Victorian Laser Rifles, arms and Victorian legs to follow soon.

But I already have a guard army - how dare you make me want to start another?

Looking very nice indeed - can't wait to see more

Squid heads?

If that's what the Victorian torso look like then I could definitely see MaxMini's ANZAC heads on those torsos looking solid. Not to mention being able to have some fantastic Rough Riders to match!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Cheers, but not as solid looking as the ANZAC heads I'm sculpting at the moment

Fan-tastic. I'd been hoping you'd do that!

(I'll admit I that was trying to bait you on that one to see what might come of it - I think I've mentioned it before, but your old ANZAC-style Rough Rider conversion is a longtime favorite of mine. I was extremely pleased to see his dynamite-tipped lance on the Victorian Rough Rider shown above!)

+grins+ Now we just need some short-sleeve 'normal-people' arms (You know, the sort of arms that would be on your average person, not the burly bodybuilder on steroids arms of the catachans)

I'm already doing the happy dance for that lasrifle and arms

If you need ideas for stuff to make: Separate gaskmask/rebreather for guardsmen would be all kinds of awesome. Means you can use non-gasmasked heads and figures in "hostile environment" armies

I am so excited by these latest releases! I will be placing an order for the pith helmet heads and Victorian torsos, but I may want to wait until the Victorian arms and legs are available too. Any idea when those two other kits will make it into the webstore?

By the way, I just finished building the new penal legion kit and it was a blast to put together. I am sure these Victorian troopers will be equally fun!

Those look great! I can not wait for some Mordian heads. There is a huge market for them waiting and waiting and waiting. Figure you sell 60-120 heads EASY to each person (such as myself) dying to get their hands on them.

New laserguns and arms + some mordian heads (+ new legs and torsos) = Heaven.

Seriously you can sculpt 5 heads max and everyone would be satisfied. We just need 2 yelling variants, angry face, normal face, and a 5th. I can't be the only one who desperately wants some mordian heads.
