Eldar. They're not so much in a racial 'decline' so much as a fragmented society whose time as a galactic power has ebbed.. they're just a remnant of a former great age but that's far from saying they are dying out (although that isn't saying they're safe either, since their souls are still in perpetual danger.)

Setting aside the danger to one's soul, and the need for everyone to fight to protect the craftworld, they actually have the best and most normal 'society' of anyone in 40K, and that includes the Imperium. They're the most democratic, the most equal, and probably the ones with the best standards of living. I'd imagine craftworlds are amongst the safest of places (inasmuch as any place can be safe).

Not quickly, but yes they are. They're not a real threat to the galaxy though, since they need to spend most of their time in the WW or they get ommed

Right, the poll makes a distiction between the Dark Eldar and Eldar. My post was referring to the Eldar as a dying race. Granted DE and CWE are technically the same race, I wasn't implying that as a race they were dying. I meant that the race of CWE in GW's eyes are dying. A matter of semantics really.

If you look at it that way then yes, as a race the CWE are dying. On a side note why isn't CWE a sanctioned abbreviation yet?

Commander Shepard: Well, I care deeply about the quarian people.
Tali'Zorah: It's good to be back on the Normandy.
Commander Shepard: Let me know if it's too quiet for you to sleep, and I'll find you someplace louder.
Tali'Zorah: Hmm.
Garrus Vakarian: Uh, I was there when you two had your thing, remember? Just get a room and work it out.

Nor do I see myself in a lifetime of war with the Space Marines, besides they get hardly any free time

Two: the giants in power armor who also consider xenos as filth
Three: the pointy-eared people who consider everyone else as primitives
Four: happy-go-lucky people who think it's too 'soft'
Five: metal people with over the top technology

That wasnt a serious question. However you did give a very boring and much too serious answer.

Very few citizens get to chillax in 40k, it's more like "worked to death in slave labour" or "conscripted" or "lobotomized"

So Black Library fiction isn't canon? I remember a large portion humanity being relatively. . . normal. Such a shame. The grim and dark grimdarkness is overwhelming.

I don't know which books you're reading. From the ones I've read the largest portion of humanity either struggles to survive in large manufatorums or forge worlds. And the middle class struggles to survive, heck I don't even think some planets even have a middle class. And the rich live all fine and dandy in their giant homes well above all the gangs and violence.

Of course I do read a lot of chaos novels.... and a lot of the people are already dead. But to live a pretty chillax life, you'd probably have to find a remote planet, away from forge worlds, probably a farm planet or somewhere away from hive cities.

Or you can live on Ultramar....

I remember a few, generally the planetary nobility and their kids.

That said the Ciaphas Caine novels, while good reads, aren't that terribly accurate to 40K's established fluff.
