I think they picked those four out of the Firefly crew since they're the "combat" characters that wreck stuff up.

The rest of the cast are non-combatants.

Still, would be really cool to see of them just for the hell of it, pretty sure we all want to see miniature Kaylee and Inara.

If they do the whole crew, I hope it's another stretch goal add on to the $20 set. Not because I feel like they should be or think I'm entitled to it, only because I'm going to have to skip them(which means skipping the first set, too) due to not having the money!

That would suck for you :\ But if they do some other awesome characters of other setting you like, you'll be fethed in the same situation :S

True dat, but I can always not get Not-6.

I didn't watch new BSG.

If it gets really bad with the amount of extras, I'll probably drop the Lights-out Campaign(though I'll be sad, I love gimmicky models) like I did the terrain. Unfortunately, I'm limited to a very hard amount due to mortgage payment being that day, too. The IRS already believes we don't own our house, don't want to make it actually true.

All this stuff would be awesom to use in a Dark Heresy RPG campaign setting!!!

I'm bloody well IN......my wife is gonna rip me a third and a fourth for this! Mike McVey, when you see me on the news, know that it WAS your fault!

Fred West will look like an episode of Blue Peter compared to where my missus is gonna bury me!!

You should definitely watch BSG reimagined and Caprica. And be eager like me to see Blood & Chrome, too xD

I have a mortage too, I'm playing with my little savings so I won't screw it. There some stuff I'm noy buying here, and I won't buy 6th ed 40k rulebook in a couple of months.

360 hit, facehuggercrabskullbot things unlocked, less than 10k til firefly crew completed, and I'd say about time for another stretch!

By the way, didn't we already get a $500K stretch goal, albeit unofficially? I remember mentions of a novel...

Don't be too eager. That chance of that going to series is essentially dead.

The optional extras are definitely nice, but not liking the aesthetics of grav vehicles (I'd rather they had legs or wheels like a Tachikoma instead of just flying around by fiat) or Strain, the Biohazard pledge still doesn't grab me.

Erasoketa wrote:You should definitely watch BSG reimagined and Caprica.

You really shouldn't. The ending of nBSG is... distasteful.

Spoiler:
The series ends with everyone basically rolling over and waiting to die, Luddite style.

Yeah, I know, but we will have a pilot, at least. Don't know where or when, or even if it will be available in Spain. But I will see it!!

That's your opinion, and I disagree. He should make his own. And he needs to see it for that

Novel isn't a stretch goal unless it is free. The guy just said he they hit 500k and million he would write.

I hope they throw in some more cool stuff, less then 4k to go until all 4 crew members are unlocked. This game is going to be massive with how much stuff it comes with.

To be fair, the strain characters, GitD Strain, or the Opti-camo Characters aren't free stretch goals.

And to get really technical, none of them are, since you have to purchase the Biohazard level to get them.

Let me clarify: We're supporting a board/minis game. Not a novel. Whether or not they want to write one of a million other bad sci-fi novels, is up to them. Given the level of support the game has got, compared to what they needed; there is no excuse not to continue with amazing stretch goals.

I want to get my hands on the minis and game. I don't want to waste my time reading a SW book or know that the nearly $500 I have pledged ended up leading us to a book.

I shouldn't guess the quality will be bad, but I think a Sedition Wars book based on the terrible quality of the writing for lore on the kickstarter etc... yeah, I would have to definitely pass and feel like they wasted their time.

Could you imagine a BETTER way to kill this kickstarter? Let's sell you all a book by an unknown author in an unknown universe, where much of the writing shown via kickstarter has been laughable. Yep! I'm on board.

Don't get me wrong, I like Studio McVey, I like Sedition Wars but um, these guys should stick to miniatures and designing games; not trying to break through in the literary world. Black Library supplies enough poorly written and overpriced sci fi by bad authors.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I'm just bitching because I can. I think a book as anything other than something they do, unrelated to this kickstarter would be bad.

Throwing in the firefly crew and more optionals for biohazard clearly just netted a bunch of sales a few hundred NEW backers. If they did other stuff like that, this would only get better.

I can't see a book drawing the kickstarter to higher levels. (Whatever though, I've got more than enough out of this to keep me occupied for a year at this rate).

I rather liked the fluff on the Kickstarter.

Really, REALLY hoping the next stretch doesn't send my wallet into hiding. Barely was able to find the poor bugger after not-6 showed up...

That's your choice I don't discourage anyone from liking it. The problem is, it's basically mash-up universe that is borrowing quite definitively (not counting these figures from other settings) within the main setting from other universes. There is nothing original about it or attention grabbing in terms of the story.

What does catch the attention and has since it was first mentioned (long before Kickstarter) were the models, not the amateur storyline.
