I know plenty of teenager girls who don't like Twilight. I personally don't a problem with the films, it's just annoying that such a crappy author is able to get so big with such a badly written book.

Twilight redux

Creepy old dude has nothing better to do than comb a high school for tail
Teenage girl can't make up her mind between bff her age or creepy old dude
Old pedophile and silly teenage girl make a baby

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

Nope, your first avatar of the inquisitor was what I think of. Odly enough, from what I can gather, Melissia IS her avatar.

I remember when Gwar was still on dakka. I called him on skype. He really is a troll. True story.

Actually, my first avatar was the cover of the Witch Hunter codex (which also featured an inquisitor).

Odly enough, from what I can gather, Melissia IS her avatar.

GLADOS was originally a member of the Sororitas? Things are starting to come together...

I made a fake account with a pink Rex named "BadRomance" and I chose girly eyes. In a few days I've received three complete sets of gear, many potions, 5 free revives and about 10,000 gold. Those are the in-game items. I've also been hit-on or flirted with 9 times, 3 people have "asked me out," had 2 people ask me for naked pics, and had around triple the normal party invites, in many cases by higher level characters who have nothing to benefit from me being around. Granted I have played along with their whims once or twice (only when they asked for naked pics, then I linked them to terrible, terrible images and made them look stupid ), but for the most part I play normally and do nothing special. Nerd guys, TONE IT DOWN.

Lol reminds me when I acted like a blonde chick on Wc3 for a day. It worked.
Also did that once in Halo, and everyone was asking all these stupid questions. And I kicked all their arses with my sniper rifle and shotgun. They started asking me for my phonenumber. (Gave them a rejection hotline number instead.) And asked me if I like guys. And I said no. Then they asked me to have sex with them. And I said no. And I was being truthful with them and said, I only date girls, guys are disgusting. Then they started to hit on me over and over again. Then at the end of the game. I finally said. "Hey guys, guess what? I am a Dude."
They all preceded to swear and I caught it in a screenshot which then got lost :(

Hasn't every online gamer done this at least once...? For poops and giggles.

I remember "Females" in WoW running around in the first questing areas and whispering to other players that they would strip and dance for them for 1 silver coin. They actually did this right on the marketplaces, then. I highly doubt that those female avatars always had female players behind them...

Dunno, movies that make fun of twilight seem to be quite popular right now.

As for the popularity of twilight, dunno, apparently teenaged girls like angsty sexy vampires. Mind you, the Twilight movies themselves are practically a parody of the novels...

Teenage girls in my experience love biting and in general seem to like the "sensitive" and "emotional" guys so its not surprise that angsty sexy vampires are hugely popular nowadays.

Ahahah, emotional and sensitive. Nobody in Twilight can be properly described as either of those.

People are stupid thus "emotional" and "sensitive" = angsty.

I don't even know if I can call them angsty without insulting the true angst from the plays of old.

I mean hell, Bella's a shallow, clingy, manipulative, unlikable, slutty bitch with no redeeming qualities.

Wait that might be why some of them empathize with her so much.

I think twilight was made to invoke a modified electra complex in teenage girls, replacing the mother with Bella and the father with Edward.

I don't think anyone can argue with that. Not even a certain someone in this thread who hates that word (I have actually forgotten who you are).

I actually think it was Fanfir, or Cannerus.

And anyway, Bella seems... Off.... Has anyone else noticed how she has become more stalkerr-esq than a lovestruck teen?

Frankly I think Bella is the author's "take that" at vapid, whiny teen girls.

I would be one of the people who's stated repeatedly that I dislike the use of the term "Slut",and given the reasons for my dislike over and over.
However,it seems as though there are those who enjoy tossing that term about...

I've seen inteviews with Stephanie (the author), and it seems like this is her fantasy, cme real.

Anyway, Breaking Dawn was awful. Really, a Vampire Baby? That makes no sense.

On a side note, yes, I have read everything that Stephanie has written. (It was to get with a girl, don't worry )

Not so much directed at you Melissa...but there are certain posters who frequently use that term.
I basically attribute it to their lack of experience and general inability to grasp that not every aspect of life fits into some established mold.

Somehow that wouldn't be surprising either. It's such a poorly written little piece of crap. Wonder how it got so popular... I can think of many romances, even vampire ones, which were better written.

Hell, the romances in Battletech were better written.
