Not so much directed at you Melissa...but there are certain posters who frequently use that term.
I basically attribute it to their lack of experience and general inability to grasp that not every aspect of life fits into some established mold.

But that makes things so complicated! I think there can be such a thing as "self-destructive promiscuity" but I don't think that every woman that has sex with more than one person deserves to be called a slut.

Twilight. Yeah. For my Vampire, Werewolf, Mortal love triangles I prefer Anita Blake. YMMV

Poor, poor Omi and Victor.

Now THAT is a tragic romance. Twilight is just a bunch of vapid, wangsty crap.

To the best of my knowledge your not one of the posters who repeatedly uses that term...so ...no I'm not.

People need more complication in their lives...Far to often people seek to understand /interpret things with the easiest definitions and the most limited amount of thought possible.

How much of a part of it do you think immaturity plays though? When you're younger and sex is still a bit of a mystery the term "slut" and the like gets thrown around as an insult.

As you get older and hear "That girl is a slut" you suddenly want to get to know her better. Maybe its just me.

He can't bring the monkey back until the experiment is over.

The expriment can't begin until he also provides five ducks, a chaise longue, and one slightly chewed 1997 chevy pickup.

I think maturity or lack thereof plays a big part in the definitions/terms we use, coupled with real world experiences and perspectives.

I have to admit that I am now morbidly curious as to the nature of this experiment.

Wait that might be why they empathize with her so much.

I think twilight was made to invoke a modified electra complex in teenage girls, replacing the mother with Bella and the father with Edward.

Yep. Thats the big difference between good shows and bad movies.
Good vampire novelists vs bad vampire novelists.
wow I started one hell of a discussion.
Twilight vampires to me seem gay and why would you want to date a guy that has a 0% chance of ever giving you anything pleasurable?

No...I was drinking the other night and the trippy faces were making me nauseous.

But ...I for one rejoice at the monkeys return.

So this means Fittz if I change my Avatar everyweek? Would you potentially go insane?

I think I would. I had a hard time dealing with Gitsplitta's change, and if you changed it that would make me a sad panda.

It happens to everyone. On numerous occasions I've read a post, and thought 'Hmm, that sounds like something X would say. Oh wait, you are X'.
