Nice and natural looking fur and great base. Snow on the stomach looks a bit odd as I think it would melt from the body temperature, but the snow on the feet looks great. Excellent work.

A few pages back you were talking about airbrushing with inks. I have thought about this as well before as I have some around and been using them mixed up with matte medium for weathering, but was thinking they would need medium with it to shoot them from an airbrush as well. So are you shooting them plain, mixed with matte/satin/gloss medium or something else I am not thinking of?

and not to gush, but I love your work, BTW. inspiration does not begin to cover it.

Hey is this the same style that you used for the tutorial that you did for Dark Angels a while back? For the Green atleast?

oh and If I send you a Dark Eldar model can you do a tutorial on how to paint the Dying Sun Kabal? ...If you have the time ^_^

Les, great work! I have been watching your tutorials (mainly ones that utilize an airbrush) and just recently picked up an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS with hopes I can take my painting to the next level. I just discovered this thread you have going and since I started on page 1, I must say you have come a long way in painting. I think it's great to have a virtual memory of how you have progressed over the years and if I can get myself to take the time in making quality photos and tutorials, I may aim for it myself.

I know you are working on newer videos but chop chop buddy, the masses are becoming restless. No really, keep up the good work!

Les, it is OT to the latest piece, but how do you feel about spray booths? I would really love to hear your opinion on this, I don't see one in your videos that I can recall, but that could just be for lighting and camera purposes.

The more I learn about AB, the more I am hearing you really should have one for health reasons. A mask will help you while working, but won't keep dust off the floor if a kid decides to play under the table... Is that worrying too much or a real issue? I think a lot of people who have been turned onto AB from you would probably be interested to know the answer, so I hope you don't mind my asking in this thread!

Thanks! The hands are attached to a huge chainsaw being painted off the model.

Hey Les. I saw on your page that you bought this model so that you can practice skin tones. I must say that you seem to have nailed it! He looks quite swarthy and dirty (which is a good thing!). The only bit (and it's a minor thing) is on the back of his right shoulder there seems to be a 'blobby' patch. It may be the light though.

Great work overall, and looking forward to seeing it completed!

Thanks for the compliments. The upper back was picked at with a needle so that's what you are seeing. This will be painted as peeling skin when I do the sunburn portion of the skin on his upper back and top of the shoulders. Good eye

Ok, so now I'm impressed. It's not the big flashy models that impress me. It's the ones that strive to achieve a truly realistic look (Although each to their own. There's always a market for different styles). I'll definitely be keen to see how this turns out.
