As it stands (bad pun intended):

Rear legs got sliding doors. Front stand, just detachable for now, thinking if/what/how to solve it, there's not enough place beneath the cockpit to lodge the pad when pulled up. Might just leave as is for now.

Thanks for stopping by.

Very nice work, LT.

There's nothing wrong with the undercarriage just being pulled up to the belly of the vehicle. Many modern flying vehicles do this for precisely the same reason (lack of space for housing it internally).

Just over a year... Time really flies by when you are not looking...

Not much to say about it, simply didn't get around to hobbying for a while, just 'cause I guess.

And then, a little time ago, I (glacially slow, but there´s no news in that) started to paint again, a bit here and there, and then a bit more. Still haven't picked up any "serious" work on unfinished projects, but will be getting there anytime now.

At least I managed these so far:

Techpriest and crew:

Some scatter terrain I'd picked up and never gotten around to put some colour on:

Marcelus Johanus, gift of friend JMMelo, and a first attempt at a glowing power fist:

Finally, last WIP of some close quarters punching power additions:

There are still a couple more things I haven't yet taken pictures of, and some more others in progress on the workbench, so I guess I won't be needing another year to get back once again.

Lots of catching up to do too, need to see what's been going on of late, so I'll be sticking around some.

Thanks for (still) stopping by!

Cheers!

Thank you both!

Yes, easy, and as hobby ADDed as ever, as well, to keep things as usual...

One of the things that brought the Valkyrie build to a halt was the lack of proper flying stand, and since I didn't have any clear plastic at hand at the time, it got sidelined since its last update. I found a solution for that a couple days ago, so I'm also working on a base for it. Maybe, once I get that done I'll try and finish the flyer too, who knows.

Cheers!

Flyer base, done:

Sand, fish-tank and cats litter box stones, tinted sawdust and bits of sponge for flock, birch seeds and some tree roots.

Acrylic cake column for the flyer stand.

Tried liquid silicone from a craft shop for the water effect, came up a bit bubbly, but it'll have to do.

C&C are, as always, very welcome.

Cheers!

It seems vaguely familiar...

Using the cake column is clever. I'm curious to see how it attached to the Valk.

Welcome home bud, nice to see you.

Excellent work on the base and figures. That base has a feel like you places each and every bit with tweezers, but it looks really natural, great work.

Thanks, EDC, Gits and Dr. H!

@Red H: Magnets: 2 x 10mm diameter, plus two pins to prevent sliding and turning:

Pillar detaches from the socket (held only by friction on that end) and from the Valk, convenient for storage and eventual transport.

@Cam: Actually, most of the rocks and the leaves were placed with tweezers; too crazy?

C&C are welcome.

Thanks for stopping by.

@Meph: Thanks! Must be the actual plane and chopper bits, less of a tank-on-a-flight-stand look,

Not much to show on the flyer, gap filling and sanding do not make much photo material, Next, panelling and other detailing, might take a while...

But managed to take some pics of a recently finished Commissar, just for morale's sake:

C&C are welcome!

Thanks for stopping by.

Nice work - I like the paint style and I bet it looks great on the tabletop. The commissar is positively festive.

@dave: Thanks! Good to see you around! Techpriest and servitors (and tanks, ) are probably what draw me to IG in the first place!

@Dr H: Thank you!

@kestral: Thanks!

Idea behind the colour scheme for characters like the techpriest or the commissar, as well as some soon (I wish) incoming Advisors is to eventually have a strong contrast with the more muted colours of the rank and file troops, which I think will look good on a table, if I ever I actually finish (start, even) painting those. Glad at least this part of the plan is coming along!

On another note, even though it is not much, I had to take some pics of the pimping out of the Valk:

Blingy rhinestones FTW!

Some panel lines and a start at some missile racks too, but the glitter steals the show,

Thanks for stopping by!

And she is (mostly) done:

A bit rough on the details (gap filling and sanding leaves quite some to be desired, and there are some glue tide marks here and there), but she will do.

Only the canopy left to do, still working on the how.

And paint, of course. Let's not forget about that part,

C&C are always welcome.

Thanks for stopping by.
