Good job on the cardstock scenery. I'm a big fan of the stuff- nearly 100% of my fantasy scenery (besides ruins which are based off the old GW foam-core ruins templates) are made from a collection of Fat Dragon Games, WorldWorks Games, and Dave's Games buildings. The only stuff I have and use that's plastic are my Mage Knight Castle pieces. And some of my terrain is nearly ten years old, and going fine.

Ignore people who evidently have a need for a mission against you. I love your version of the Fortress of Redemption. It's nicely neutral, without all the "mad skullz' and the DA specific statuary- all the things keeping me from ever buying the GW version, rather than the price. I would absolutely love to build my own copy.

Cool stuff. I agree with Augustus, never-the-less I encourage people that enjoy cardstock buildings to build and use them. I miss the old GW cardstock buildings. They had a certain sense of playfulness that is missing in today's game. Maybe it had to do with the color schemes they used. Either way they were neat..and I still have most of them.

I've got the interior Supports figured out. They are made out of 1mm Mat Board

It should with no problems. To prove it I will put my mates Daemon Prince (metal) on the model.

Status Update: I've made a basic set of plans in a layered pdf. This means you turn on and off layers to print what parts you want. This should allow you to save some paper by turning on and off different height walls, weapons, and other details.

I will start building the white build this week, then I will tweak the plans accordingly.

I'm currently trying to make a bastion as well. Mine is currently being done in different way. - Just a little quicker but probably not as nice.

I'm using 1mm fomex. I've used one continual sheet (which has been scored+bent) for the 4 main walls and another single strip which again has been scored and bent to make the bottom angled 'base' bit.

I'm planning on using some proper 5mm foamcore for the floor at the top so it's a little more sturdy and can hold the weight of any models that get put on it.

Just not sure whether 1mm thick 'wall sections' will look very thick :(

It always amazes me how much this community thinks that cardstock is going to crumple if you look at it. Seriously, if it is engineered properly it wont be an issue.

IGNORE THE DOOMSAYERS. your stuff is truly inspirational. as you've said yourself back in the old days gw would promote this kind of stuff. i've still got a paper baneblade around all bits cut just never got around to finishing. carry on the fine work.

Really nice, and it looks strong enough to accomodate a lot of figures on top.

I'm used to making cardstock terrain and usually don't have to worry too much about the thickness of the material. Well this version here is made from Cardstock (224 gsm), 1mm & 2mm mat board. I still have a strictly cardstock version that will be released with a white version for the thicker material. I'm having a friend make textures for it when he has spare time. So there had been a lot of trial and error with this project but it is close to being completed.

I put that there to press the top down while it dried. Honestly I could put three times that weight on it.

I got a bit more done today. All the lower gun ports are now on. The only thing left are the Crenelations and the turrets. I will post pictures soon.

That last one is sweet. what is it made out if I think i need to grab some.

I know this has been an on again, off again project but it's on again. I'm hoping to finish this within a week. I'd like everyone to bare in mind that the first build is the beta and I've already made some changes in the design based on how different pieces came together (or didn't as the case may be).

I'm pretty excited for the 6th edition rules and the option to purchase a single fortress in your army list.
