I had Friday off - I did a bit shopping, some house work then.... some models yay!!

So I got back to painting the Dread right?... Wrong!! Had a little break from him an decided to start another troop choice - legal army here we come!!!

Btw my next project will be plastic- drilling metal is a tiring sport. I had these 4 guys looking at me for some time from my "special bitz box" - I decided its was time for them to join in the fun. pic-

No, actually. There was an Akita that showed up in the animal shelter I was working at, and he was just the best dog in the world. No words to describe him. We called him sanchez. This is just a picture of an akita that looks kind of like him. Sanchez was adopted to a loving home, as far as I know.

I really like the twins. What a great model. What were the bodies based off of? I don't recognize the er... chests.

Funny you should say that I got mine from an Animal Shelter, his previous owners where lithuanian and had to leave the country apparently.... I had to re-train him english which was amusing.

Those chests can be found on Sisters of Repentia, from the sisters of battle, they are pricey but I managed to pick these up ramdonly in a junk ebay auction- always best.

Such beautiful oldschool chaos champions/marines - I'm forever trying to score these minis but they are so rare and expensive these days

Isnt that the truth, if I'm lucky i sometimes find them on ebay in a junk lot, or caked in paint. Lucky i still have some that I somehow didnt sell over the years .

The photo is not rubbish, I recognise every model and bits you've used as banners.

The purplish-wyrmy colour you described is exactly what I thought you were doing with him, but I agree the pink works very well. Perhaps a very thin purple glaze over the arm if you wanted to tone it back a tad?

Lovely new bunch, I'm particularly fond of the flail-wielding slaaneshi.


Those old Tzeentch guys were wonderful, another lot I really regret picking up at the time. However, I did bag multiples of the jezzail and sword dude, I'll have a scout about over the weekend as I believe I still have a couple untouched.

@RiverTroll - hey there, thanks for your comments, I'd like to play with an army that looks like this :lol: . I do miss playing the game but I've always had a rule never to play with unpainted models

Back on topic- Those new models are amazing. I really like the intent / theme behind them. I continue to bow before your absolute mastery of all things Chaos. When Arihman finally assaults the Black Library he's going to find a very lengthy tome written by you.

Great work man, i keep seeing this log and every time i do its got some new beutiful alt' chaos models in it! i love both the style and the painting your doing with these guys, they break from the normal 'so realistic basic plastic kit' things most people do to produce some unique wonderful wierdness.

Thanks viktor- the base colour is grey for everthing, hopefully this will tie them all together. I was playing about with names and I thought I'd call them the 'grey death legion', however this did sound a bit familiar- it took a while to remember I stole it from battle tech- so they remain unnamed haha.
