I have had 2 experiences....
The first one is with yu-gi-oh... I hadn't played for at least a year and in my game my opponent had a 3 monsters, 1 had 9 spell counters which put him onto approximatly 5000 attack points, 1 that can do direct damage to my life points that couldn't be destroyed amd 1 that could respawn his cards if I destroyed them......
The second 1 was in 5th ed 40k when in my first tournament game my opponent somehow got a turn 1 charge with death company, at the time I didn't think anything of it but afterwards i did the maths and realised it was illegal....
Tournament record: (W/D/L)
Space wolves : 1/1/1
Dark Eldar : 6/0/1 (1 overall win)
Daemons :8/0/2 (1 overall win)
Normal games starting 5/11/12:
Dark Eldar 13/0/1
Daemons 32/1/1
Friends armies 1/0/0

]Aye, but we wouldnt do any lasting damage. Well beyond a broken leg in case of a couple of them.
Seriously?
No wait, because someone is being a donkey cave during a game, the best thing to do is beat him till his leg is broken.
No, I am reffering to if someone threw a tape measure off my or one my friend's faces and caused damge like the photo shows
Violence as a response to violence isn't exactly legal. Sounds like the game store owner got involved fast enough; there was no need for self-defence. Even when there is a need for self-defence, breaking someone's legs while a part of a mob in response to them throwing something at someone in anger isn't self-defence.
One of them could break a leg if he was angry enough. (not me, I'm pretty docile in comparison to him)
Experience is something you get just after you need it The Narkos Dynasty - 15k Iron Hands - 12k The Shadewatch - 3k Cadmus Outriders - 4k Alpha Legion Raiders - 3k
Most of the people at the local store i go to are no where near TFG thankfully
except 2.
One plays Salamander SM. He gets agrivated very quickly and if he manages to kill a unit he will rub it in your face like it was a deciding factor in the battle. He also rage quits mid battle if your winning. thankfully the rage quits are not violent. just the silent pack up everything in a huff and not speak to you things. Also when he got really frustrated he would grab his dice as soon as they stoped and say they are a different number (cheating) expecially if it was a 1. like if a unit failed a save he would snatch up the dice trying to prevent you from seeing it. If you catch him he gets all defensive and if you catch him agian he will pack up.
I han't seen him play recently but i see him play magic alot. allegedly he was kicked out once when he got angry about a battle.
Another has both IG and ELdar (and peices parts of chaos, orks and grey knights. last i checked). Hes extreamly annoying and gets really frustrated if he begins to loose units. He will treat the tape measurer as a sword and swing it around and poke you with it. and slowly as the game goes along if he begins to loose he becomes extreamly depressed and frustrated. HE would also complain alot about your units. even if you have the same army (my Armor IG crushes his Infantry IG yet he also has a few tanks and still complains about them). Tank blows up his infantry and he can go on a long speech on how the tank is BS. COurse if he manages to kill a tank (or in 5th if he glances and disables it) he acts like hes won the war just by stunning my Leman Russ (one out of 3 or more).
Now he doesn't like 6th and won't play.

4. "Clan Mouth-breather" These wonderful individuals are a group of boot marines wearing moto t-shirts and sporting 'high and tight' haircuts that congregate every saturday with all MEQ armies and proceed to lock down 3 tables with a day long monstrous abortion of an Apocalypse battle, all while spouting annoying boot marine stories that they makes them look tough.. it's not so much an intrusion into everyone else's bubble like the other 3 previously mentioned individuals, but rather their effect as an overall cluster of annoyance for everyone in the FLGS, many of the regulars at our store are either career Marines or Veteran Marines and, at the risk of sounding like the old guy on his porch, a bunch of young pups running around barking like they're the big dog in the yard is annoying. Plus with them locking up 3 tables on the busiest day of the week is just plain rude.
Pretty sure /every/ boot is like that though. Never known boots to hang out at the local FLGS so that's surprising to me any way, usually they're too busy drinking, or being insecure enough that they couldn't play with war dollies. So I suppose that's an improvement from a libbo incident stand point till someone at the store has to take'em out to the ridgeline and "explain" things to them.
Oh agreed boots will be boots, and from the NCO standpoint I would have loved it if my junior marines stayed inside and painted plastic figurines instead of getting drunk and burning the damn barracks down.

I only had a TFG encounter once, but it was enought to be farily upsetting..well actually 2... but meh its all fine and dandy.
So i have orks, and love orks and they are huge at my FLGS because i been playing them for years. This new guy shows up, plays dark eldar with his bro, studies psychology considers him self a 100% badass. I dig and compliment him on his studies and say he should paint his army. He asks to play me. I accept. All is dandy - then i see his list. 10 million percent tailored to beat me. I figure i'z orky and i playz anyways but he was doing dirty things like using the tip off his raider (had a <-(car) type deal) anways he would shoot off that, firing rapid fire weaponry at full range as 2 shots and the such. Had the bombers and blew me to bits. He beat me hard. Not after i raided all his raiders off. Needless to say his rule layering, cheating got to me and i vowed i never play him again.
Other one was at ard boyz. I moving 154 models in under 15 minutes for my ork army. he is moving his 25 model army (armor heavy marines) in 1.5 hours. He wanted to call it on top of turn four after he went and killed a bunch of stuff, but it was the edge where i would get to waghhh in and smash his army. Needless to say the TO had to walk over, along with every other single player in the tourny and say in my favour which i was failing to argue ( i am a argument coward) that i get my part of turn four. i finish in 15 minutes flat and he had 1 squad left..

Dont tournies have a time limit on a persons turn to avoid taking forever and stalling, or is that just locally?

I think that I might have been TFG once, even though i am usually very nice and easy going with gameplay and rules. But in this one tournament I was playing i forgot to move one unit and asked to after shooting one thing, the guy said no, which is ok. But then in the final turn of the game the same thing happened to him, but he was going to move and contest an objective that would have tied the game, but shot, and so i wouldnt let him do it. In hindsight though, i should have let him as i wasnt in contention for 1st place or in danger of getting last, and was just mad at him for earlier(and wanted to win 2 out of 3 games for the day).

I'd say that's a fair case of tit for tat, I've done it before as well, someone calls me out on something I missed, I hold them to the same standard.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure what to think about the WAAC list's...
I mean I've been known bring very competitive list's at my LGS and there are others too. I don't mind someone else playing a super competitive, omega list, I'll bring one of my own as well. If it's legal I have no problem with it. That being said I'll pull out a funky list against new/ lax players. I don't think someone should be crowned a TFG just by bringing a good list. I don't mind if someone brings a competative list, it's just if their attitude/playing still is WAAC, that's when I have the problem. I don't blame the army for not having a good time, I blame the player. I'd rather get sqaushed by a friendly guy, then have to put up with a rules lawyering, look up every single thing I declare, asswipe.
When it comes to list's, two things irk me : LIST TAILORING (absolutely hate this, will not play someone doing this) and bringing a list that is obviously too big....
As far as TFG's in my area, there are two, although only one of them is that bad.
The fist guy is so full of himself and thinks he's the hottest gak alive. He's so elitist like you wouldn't believe and bashes me just because I play orks. He'll insult if you make a stupid move once it's his turn and get angry when he starts losing. He'll also accuse you of cheating at any possible point he can. Such an ass, I refuse to play him.
The other is a nice guy all around, but not when he loses, complete personality switch....
Here is my TFG moment, 4ed. I was playing Deathwing, he was playing Necron (footsloggers). I walked on the board and sat in a corner where he could only fire upon me from about a five inch gap in terrain on two sides. He came at me piece meal, Twenty Necrons don't last long when there is about twenty-six terminators firing on them. He phased out in turn five. I lost only one guy. I danced and gloated, pointing it out to my friends, he packed up silently and left. After coming down from my "high," I realized what I had done, went to apologize but, never saw him again. I felt like an ____, I still feel ashamed about the whole thing.

I respect you for sharing that, bud.
+1 to the respect: we ALL have those days, and you're a big man to admit to it (no sarcasm, I'm being honest). I did it myself and felt like crap about it once-I played a new guy who wanted to proxy a drop pod, and I told him he shouldn't use a peanut butter jar-I offered him one of my drop pods, but told him no way to peanut butter jars. And while I didn't take a truly horrendous list, I didn't show him much mercy-a DC squad in a Land Raider with a Libby leading the squad, an assault squad, a Storm Raven and I think a Pod'd Sternguard Squad against his Salamanders. I stayed away from the really nasty BA stuff, but still tabled him quickly-felt like crap about it and wanted to apologize afterwards, but didn't get the chance. In my defense, I had lost a LOT of games recently (and so lost my cool for a bit) and he was getting help from the semi-TFG of our store: the rules lawyer who never owned an army or rulebook, borrowed models to make netlists and gloated when he beat people with models he wouldn't ever purchase. I kinda feel bad labeling him a TFG, cause he'd give you the shirt off your back if you asked-he just power games at everything and often cheats.
And to those saying "No Kairos in friendly games"...you're probably right. I beat a Dwarf AND Dark Elf army in the same game with just Kairos-he Pit of Shades'd all the dwarves and nuked the elves with other spells (this was in 7th). Both those guys had used me as a punching bag before under older rules though, so it's fair to say they deserved it
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Thirded, it's honorable to come clean on stuff like that. Hopefully you can find him again.
Edit to put my money where my mouth is:
I haven't been in enough gaming stores or games to get a chance to become TFG really, but I know when I'm bidding on 40k stuff on ebay I get really vindictive is I lose "Well at least I made /that/ guy pay more." Which seems to me to be making a complete of myself. I also used to rules lawyer pretty hardcore for some competition level airsoft matches I went to in high school.

Done that before. I taught 5th edition to a guy who had built a small Ultramarine force (he regularly beat me at other games). Haven't felt the same ever since.

I'll admit I did a similar thing in a tournament. Had my Daemons fighting a Nidzilla army from the old codex and The Masque gets shot by a HT with two twin devourers, so it rerolled everything. Little missy has to make 12 3++ saves and amazingly she does. I immediately go "Can't touch this!" and start doing a little dance whilst getting whithering looks from my opponent.

Guy played old crons and was losing every game, he complained and moaned and everyone hated him and everyone was warning me not to play him. Well lucky me last round I play him and was did not want to. I asked the manager if I can just back out and give him the auto win, since I wasn't going to place and either was he since he was in last place. The manager replied "If you beat the dog gakk out of him, all buy you a box of warriors" so challenge accepted. Took out my fluffy Flesh Tearers and his complaints start rolling in, then throughout the game rules layering and complaining some more and cheating. So I fired back with insults and stuff and phased him out in an objective game. Got my box, told him he was a terrible person, and laughed.
Wait, so in this example, you were TFG?
See being a TFG is like being infected with a virus. In that tourney, everyone was having a blast except for the TFG. The TFG's actions, comments, well just about about everything caused everyone and I to become infected and made me !RAGE! back. He created the monster not me, but hey the infection has been removed and were all happy.

You seem nice.

Anyhoo my story.
I may have told this one before, but I once went into the new gw in chiswick, london. I met one guy who shall not be named, and he seemed quite nice. We talked a bit we commented on each other's models. Then somehow the conversation turned to politics. Then it changed. Turns out he was elitist, racist, and a full on idiotic incorrect BNP B*****d. He had that arrogant ignorant attitude about the job situation "Blamin it on all the foreigners" And all that stupid stuff. I just stopped talking to him properly since then. I don't associate myself with Idiots.

Really?
Also, what makes me a douche if I take these characters? Because, it's quite insulting to claim anyone who takes these in a game is a douche, and I have to answer to you?
Sir, have you ever thought it is you who are the douche if your treat people like this?

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.
