Sorry, that's on your communication skills, not his interpretation skills-- the most obvious reading of that sentence is that the sculpt is being ripped off, not that the sculpting styles are similar.

And if they were selling it separately I'm sure nobody would care, but the ever-larger bases seem to be leading to ever-larger prices and many people either don't use the big base(game-first players who store models in boxes, not on glass shelves) or don't like them aesthetically, yet both still have to pay for these great unwieldy lumps of resin regardless.

I'm the latter myself - I like display diaramas fine, but if I'm going to go to the bother of doing one I'll do it myself. Magnus is incredible, but the base is both dull and OTT at the same time - at least Perty's hideously large base had some novelty value and can be used as part of a terrain piece, Magnus' is just stone & generic swirly-magik-stuff. Eh, it's not like FW care, the models sell regardless.

Does anyone have a better picture of his sword? It reminds me a lot of Farsights'.

FW HAVE to release a Book and 2 Primarchs with it, whilst people have been waiting for theirs since the beginning of time!

You must have missed the Alpharius release, it was pretty low key.

I like how in the transition from primarch to daemon primarch his knees migrated to his nipples.

Overall not sure about the model, Hourus still my favourite so far.

Great model. Proportions look fine to me, but I think that's just because so many are used to GW's horrible ability to model the human body properly. I mean seriously, when was the last time we saw a human with a neck?

Anyways, super stoked to see that they got the two primarchs with this book out quickly. Leaves me hope for book 8.

The book was pushed back repeatedly and Magnus isn't avaible for another month and even longer untill he can be ordered. So probably they were already further along when the book came out.

Really hoping they do Amon and the blade cult. but first to finish burning, and calth and the eagle and...

Where do I sign to sell my soul to Tzeentch? I need money and time to build his unsuspecting army.

They're definitely doing the Blade Cult, we've seen the models. I also really hope they do Amon, and the scouts too.

No, I am used to models from Darksword and many others that make models that don't have hips or their knees at the top of their shin.

I really quite like Magnus, the pose is nice and open and the sculpt is very nice, I am not a fan at ALL of the GW swirlies but I don't mind these ones as they are actually fairly subtle and serve a purpose considering the character. I'm quite looking forward to Whalemusic sending this for me to paint :-)

No nipple horns no Tommy. Seriously, it is in pretty much every piece of artwork that exists for big red... seems kinda lame to leave them off, they are iconic. Nice sculpt though, but that decision irks me.

I can see where you are coming from, doesn't seem like it would be very hard to add them yourself however.

I am hoping the knee horns can be moved there but he has one horn on the left sholder so it may not work

I know there isn't much precedent for this, but given it's just a community page preview there could be more to the kit.

I prefer him sans nipple horns. I know they're in the artwork, but I still prefer him without. Nipple horns seem to be a very divisive issue so maybe they'll include a nipple horn option for those that want to horny up their nipples.

Are we expecting more Space Puppy releases? I was kinda expecting more than Russ + 5 chest pieces. I woulda thought the Pups were ripe for upgrade kits and whatnot.

Yeah there's Wolf kits in the works, upgrade kits for the Grey Slayers (potentially multiple with different weapon options) which were nearly done and I think the Varangyr are being worked on.

Also, comparison of Magnus next to Vulkan (the biggest Primarch except Magnus)

I weep at the thought at how expensive he is. That is one big chunk of (beautiful) resin.

Sigh. I envy those who have 60£ primarchs. I have corax for 70£ and now Magnus.

I'm glad they went back to the origins of the character and removed the nipple horns. Pity he doesn't have the big bushy beard, though.

He looks pretty cool to me. If his right hand had been rotated to the same degree as the plastic model, I would have liked that symmetry, but that's a minor issue. And yes, it's a little disappointing that he doesn't fit with Russ like Fulgrim and Ferrus Manus, but then again, I don't think Magnus and Russ actually came together, did they?

I'm hoping for an updated Emperor's Children decal sheet soon, since the current one is now OOP.

While I am excited about the Magnus model, I have to ask where the models for "secondary" special characters are. I was not too pleased with the two Blackshields (Garro was ok), but I do not see a good sculptor behind Simon Eagan who can fill that void ...
