Reply time! Apologies for the delay...

@LDD - Orange indeed! It's actually cut from a clinical waste bag I took from a roll at work - I considered painting on a biohazard logo, but thought that might be a little overkill. Should break up the black ones a little, anyway. Cheers for the kind offer!
I'll try and get an updated shot of that building up when I've finished it in a day or two, including a shed shot.

@Skalk - Mate, what you've done is in no way derivative of mine. They're both bridges, yes, but that's hardly a trademark, and you've outclassed mine by several hundred degrees. I'll be commenting on your thread as soon as I've finished replying here, but that drawbridge with the pulleys is full on incredible. So no apologies required!

@Vik - Thanks a bunch! I was just thinking of the give-and-take you tend to get with real graffiti I'll get a shed shot soon, I promise!

@Dave - Thank you very much! I actually looked at what you'd done on your fantastic factory a few times while I was doing it, so stole some tips from the best

@RW - Good to see you man, you've been quiet a while! Hope you're doing well. Thanks a bunch for the kind words.

@Theo - Thanks very much! I'm working really hard on improving my skin tones, so I'm really chuffed you like em. Great (though lengthy!) video on painting caucasian skin here, incidentally.

@Vik (again ) - Hahaha, you can be forgiven, because it was a few pages back, but aye, Salute of the Jugger was a pretty big inspiration for the guy who designed the figures. It's a gent called Scurv over on Lead Adventure, if you're interested. Thanks for the compliment!

@Ruglud - You're very kind! I'm also drowning in all the Necromunda awesomeness on Dakka at the moment - wish I had a lot more time to comment on stuff that I do!

@LDD - Cheers man, much appreciated! Really glad you like the skin tones. There are two more teammates to come for these folks, but I'm taking a mini break to paint some other stuff before I get to them. Will get them finished soon though, I hope!

@Dave - Thanks a lot! I've been trying to stick to some vaguely similar colours so they look sort of coherent as a team. Hopefully it'll pan out for the last two as well.

And now for something completely different -
Josh the thug, first painted survivor from Zombicide

My wave 2 minis of season 1 arrived a few days ago, and I was starting to get intimidated by the big pile of unpainted stuff, so I thought I'd get to work! Hope you like, and please let me know what you reckon, as always

Josh the survivor looks really good. The denim looks great. Nice shading on the hoodie. Face looks good.

The only crit' (hope you don't mind) is the guns look a bit flat.

But the rest is great as is all your work (I don't think I've posted here before, but have been following).

Amazing job on those jeans. One of the better 'figure' paint jobs I've seen from you in a while, and that's saying a lot.

Bridge, bridge, bridge- point is if you didn't do it first I would not have ever though to do my own. Will follow up more tonight, I have a huge update and no time to post! I keep falling further into the past... aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

@Peter - Thanks so much Peter! My terrain painting is still in the 'early learning' phase, so I hope I can do it justice

@Dave - Oh no, good or bad?! So frustrating when that happens, especially if it was a long post. I'd love to hear what you had to say though, if you can bear to retype it...

@Dr H - Welcome, please ignore the mess It's always nice to have someone new aboard, and thank you for the kind words! Criticism is always welcome (it's half the reason for posting!), and yours is definitely a fair one. I was struggling for something to do with the flat black of the guns. I'll definitely need to head back and touch them up at some point, but by then I was getting sick of working on him. That's usually a good time to step back for me, or I rush and get sloppy. Thanks again for taking the time!

@Skalk - That's very kind! I was really proud of this gent, so I'm pleased that you like him. Took a little longer than some other figures I've painted recently, but I'm really trying to step up my game with layering!
Off to bed soon, but I'll see if I can hang round for your post - can't wait to see what you've done next.

@Theo - Much appreciated, thank you! Hopefully I can get a similar standard with some of the others. Ned is up next on my painting table, though I may finally paint up Coop first - the Jackals could use their last member back!

You definitely raised your game on Josh, the denim has turned out looking great and the tears are highlighted nicely, you should share this technique
The hoody is a nice colour choice and stands out great against the jeans, you did a good job on the eyes as well although I do agree the guns are a little flat, but if you don't feel you are going to do it right best to leave it till later

The one thing I am surprised no one mentioned is the sneakers, great colour choice most people go red or black but your choice was better

@shasolenzabi - That's the one! Lots of inspiration in that movie. Thanks for the compliment.

@Dave - Thank you so much, I really the kind words. Really high praise! It's such a great sculpt, it really paints itself - the entire hoodie is pulled down by the weight of the pouch, so impressive for a 28mm mini.

@LDD - Thanks a bunch, LDD! Nice eye on the kicks too - I was trying to go for a complement to the orange, glad you noticed
The jeans are actually really simple, it's basically wash painting! Start from a white base. Do the skin through the tears first, then retouch any areas so the jeans are all white. Light, very controlled wash with asurmen blue (any pooling will totally ruin the effect), a couple of layers depending on how saturated you want the colour. Then touch up the tears and the highest folds with a teensy bit of white. Finally add some weathering powder dry for ground in dirt, spray varnish and you're done! Cheating, really

@Cpn R - Thanks for the kind words, mate, but I'm still not seeing those new pictures!

@Monkey - They build up quickly, don't they? Kickstarters are terrible for building massive piles of models. You're very kind!

Managed to drop a knife on my foot a few days ago(*facepalm*), didn't have time to go to A&E as no one could cover my ward, so it's now infected (*double facepalm*). On the plus side, I got the day off work today while the fluclox kicks in, and had some time to finish up this familiar gent. Still needs some basing, but I think I'm happy to call him done.

Couple of things didn't come out perfect, but I feel like he has a lot of personality. Here's his previous, happier incarnation for comparison:

Hopefully an improvement?! Would love to know your thoughts, as always, and cheers for reading!

First of are you not supposed to heal rather than harm ……. especially not yourself hope your feel better

Now down to the little feller lets say I feel his pain , it's amazing how much depression and pain that face has LOL

Even the stance is like he is dragging himself along, he has almost given up but just keeps going.

The paint job is great love all the little touches, see he has a nice new pair of Timberland boots there

Love the hat I think i have the same one the 5 o'clock shadow is well painted as well

Over all fantastic job love the way you mix up kits as well just amazing and last but not least the ripped jean with dirt scuff nice touch

What was the torso you used on this guy by the way, I know you GS the jacket but the base of the torso ?

That face is really well done. I feel depressed just looking at him, he has been painted up really nicely indeed.

He gives me the distinct impression that he is shambling along but won't hesitate to blast someone with that pistol, pretty much without hesitation anymore. Poor bugger.
