I like the colors. Green Hair is more a nomad thing though. And this reminds me I need to get to painting my Pan-O... I think I have 30 at this point...

Thanks very much everybody! I'm glad you guys like the way this is turning out! I finally finished the third fusilier and I like the way she came out. I'm still learning how to paint these guys using techniques still new to me so kinks are being worked out.

@ cam thanks bro, yea infinity models are so freaking cool. Google masamune Shirow and you'll see a lot of inspiration and funky color schemes

@dr H /Damo mmhmm she issss fine mhm. I spent a long time on her ample busom:p

@ Sigur thanks for stopping by, I'm honored by your compliments. Someone else mentioned the transformers thing. I gotta revisit that artwork it's been forEVER!

@red thanks dude! As for the hair, I'm not one to stick to schemes or what have you, I just paint whatever I want and I wanted to paint crazy green hair

So first. Here's pics of her done. Unfortunately no photoshop pics just yet.

Now also I've begun work on the father knight. I'm going to paint him predominately purple with blue accents. He's my lieutenant and I want him quite different looking. Here's that progress...

... Alright. Lotsa pics! Whatcha guys think
Cheers!

Oh, I never bother with the official schemes either Quite frankly, it is good to see a Pan-O female who is not blonde.

Keep up the good work.

Happy Easter yall!! While I wait for lobster dinner (because lobster is the ham of the ocean), I did more work on the father knight. I love and hate this model. I wish it did not have a sword or tabard. I'm fact the whole religious aspect to pan Oceania I don't like. But anyways...Yeah ok I think the Orange is cool. Thoughts? More progress, did the backpack, but there are spot that need tlc. I'll correct them as I move on. Here's some pics..

Thoughts?

Thanks Big H! Glad you like him. I liked him so much i just decided to finish the damn thing. Im 'pretty pleased with how he turned out. I like the color choices, and certain parts of the body id have done a little differently but i learned that now. I'm getting closer to having a solid grasp of this stuff...i like the progress Also, biggish news....i started my pursuit of buying an airbrush. Yes...yes yes yes...i think that i need to master that to get to the next level. Anyways heres a big pic of the Finished father knight. Its huge so zooming in is optimal to see...Thanks! Let me know what you guys think of him!

Cheers

Hey all! Thanks so much for the positive feedback! I am definitely happy with the way he turned out and glad that you guys feel the same way. As mentioned above I still feel there are certain trouble spots with the miniature based on my application of certain things, but I feel that after having done it one time I've gotten much stronger grasp with the technique. I still have quite a few more infinity models to do and have just bought a pretty solid air compressor the next thing I need to do is buy an airbrush and I'm pretty stuck on which airbrush to buy. obviously I want to use pretty high detail with it and I'm assuming that you can do that with an airbrush. I'd love some recommendations if anybody's got them. I don't need to get the best quality but I can afford $200-$400 for the airbrush. let me know!
Cheers

Good job on the knight, BB.

Can't really help you with the airbrush hunt as I've only just bought a cheap one myself, and used it for the first time today. I've just posted up my thoughts on this in my "money making" blog if you want to check that out.

Dr H thanks boss!

OK this marks an amazing moment in the noncareer of Bebop. Ive started scratch-building terrain, and boy, new respect yo. This ish is HARD. Simply cutting out exactly accurate pieces from plasticard with an exacto knife is kicking my butt and im using a ruler:/ I could use a lot of advice here guys, and i know most of you have considerably more expertise in this regard. Im probably doing things wrong backwards more difficult etc etc. Anyways, im starting with a simple design. Four sides and a roof lol. Im buiulding a Ramen Hut!! Kinda like from blade runner...ill show a pic for reference...so ive got alot of work and detail and weathering still to do but im going toi try and hide the imperfections where i can....and with the roof and curtain awning it'll hide even more lol. thoughts please??

this is looking good bebop! will this be a scenic backgrund for taking pics? or a display board? i think it looks very good, i dunno what tools you have used here, if the ruler you have has a anti slip bottom? that helps... and it should be metal, you don´t want to ruin your ruler with the knife...belive me, it happens and the number one rule with PC is: always cut one time not all the way through the material... cut and then snapp off... that´s the ticket...afterwards sanding is always needed...

your on the right path matey...

(also... big "sorry" for not being here for so long...school life, family and other stuff...my dakka habitual life went totally bonkers and i am currently claiming what i have started...again...so many threads have been getting under the wheels of life...
but seeing you work with infinity minis... your painting style was meant for this range of minis... simply amazing the lot of them! )

cheers, vik

Score both sides and snap rather than try to cut all the way through. Clean up edges with a nail file-- one for fine or extra fine filing if needed.

Get yourself one of these http://www.homedepot.com/p/Empire-8-in-x-12-in-Steel-Carpenter-Square-100/100148335 (and/or one of these http://www.homedepot.com/p/Empire-12-in-Combination-Square-E250/100356502) It makes cutting at right angles much easier, especially if you use it with a fence. The combi-square has a built in fence.

Imperfections can be readily hidden with filler, or added on surface detail.

Cheers guys! Vic I knew that if I started a project on construction Id see you floating around! After all, I've been an LOER member for many years and have never riveted a single rivet! It's time to get my hands dirty! Oh and Vik it's definitely being built for gaming purposes. I'm going to build my own INFINITY board. Thank you both for the great tips, I have been scoring the plastic card breaking it off and then working well except when im using the extremely thick plastic card, 080? I will try scoring both sides on that one. I've made More progress and I covered up some more details that I wasn't happy with, as well as adding a little bit more battle damage.... Here's the progress,

Good start on the terrain, BB.

I find that I can't cut a straight line to save my life. That's what sandpaper and putty are for.

Heya Dakka! Long time no see!! Its been a really long time since i posted, sadly i havent been doing any painting at all in a very long time. As one might expect, im pretty timidly picking up the rrushes again to see what happens...I decided to finish off my Pan Oceania unpainted Sniper. My paints are junk, gosh, abaddon black is the worst black ever when its new let alone a year old...lol...im gonna post a few wips as the night progresses maybe, seeing how far i get...the arm is closer to being finished than the legs its all very early stages...nmm...why not start with something challenging when you have zero painting chops right?? Haha...forgive the shaky hands, hopefullly ill be able to make something out of this one...

Ahh Whale and Cam, two of dakkas most battle hardened veterans! Thanks for the encouragement guys and a chance to reconnect! Its my first model back, and its always good to rediscover how much i love painting minis! My techniques are a little loose, but hopefully i can work it out heres just a couple more pics before i go to bed, some progress... Most every aspect is not close to complete...more highlights, on evrything...shades too...in this models case, i started with mid tones and am working down to shades and up to highlights at the same time...anyways...cheers...
