You need a perk to invest in a merchant, right? I'd rather not waste the perk point on that when I can use it for combat stuffs. I have around 90k gold right now, no need to sell my junk. I just loot stuff that I actually can use now, instead of grabbing everything I can. When I go on an Alchemy Practice spree, there's 3 merchants including the wife who can buy my junk potions, thats about all I need merchants for nowadays.

To be honest, I'm surprised they didn't through in a Creeper-style super merchant like they did with Morrowind.

I have also found that dual-wielding, outside of power attacks, is not especially fun/effective. Anyone else?

How to get lots of gold in Skyrim:
Get to a level where you are owning Dragons (regardless of difficulty). Best done by abusing enchanting. Keep fast traveling to all the open world word walls. When you've done all, wait a few days. Repeat.
The dragons will drop 300+ gold every time (not to mention scales etc). Treasure chests will also refill every time 300+ gold and good loot.
My current situation? 150+k gold. 70 dragon souls left after getting pretty much every shout maxed.

Hmm, the dragon cutscene kill is quite nice. Could've been done a little better, but nice nonetheless.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I think the cutscene kills on dragons are a little anti-climactic.
There is no descernable variation.
I want to decapitate the dragon or rip its heart out!
More importantly I would like a Dragon Skull for my Coffee table.

I finished up the mage quest searching for the staff, and I decided to head up to a shrine near the dungeon. Ended up chasing a frost dragon all the way down the mountain.
About half way through his combat sequence, he dove into the mountain, literally digging up a massive pile of dirt. He then just lost the ability to fly. So I kept throwing firebolts at him, pushing him farther and farther down the mountain, it was pretty epic

My favorite moment involving dragons and mountains was with my (then level 10, now 36) Dual Wielder w/ heavy armor. I walked to the word wall, and turn around. Dragon time! It lifts off, and I pull out my bow. Somehow, Frost attack from the rear! A second dragon. I begin to panic. When the third Dragon arrived, I said feth it, ran down to the giant encampment and punched a mammoth. Best suicide ever.

Does anyone know if dragons will not appear until you kill the dragon at Whiterun's west tower? I did not do that and am setting at level 16 with nary a dragon sighting (third character, first time I did not kill Whiterun's named dragon).

It still appears to be unconfirmed I think, my mates swear blind its purely random quests completed or not, but the webs say otherwise.

I didn't start seeing a lot of dragons until I went further in the main questline, up to the part where you meet up with the Blades lady. And it seems like they're always around Dawnstar or Winterhold the most for some reason.
For me.. I dunno, I find most dragon encounters to be kinda annoying. Maybe they'll be better now that they supposedly made them attack more. A lot of times they just fly around and maybe land once or twice, and I get sick of having to swap weapons around 87 times in 1 fight. So I just get bored, hop on the horse and let the villagers all get eaten while I go sneak through a dungeon instead.

I'm seriously considering the Crafting Meltdown mod, and the improved water textures. The water in Skyrim is okay but the mod makes it look pretty darn spiffy.
I'm also considering QD inventory. The current one is okay but I prefer the other one.
EDIT: Speaking of water, when is Bethesda going to improve on their underwater camera? The murky super fog that brings the draw distance way low and makes what could be cool underwater vistas lame.

I did appreciate that there was a skill for it in the Heavy tree, but in all honest that skill should have gone as a off shoot of the single handed dual wield tree so that it could work with both light and heavy armor.

I will have to say that the blood mod does indeed make the blood look better so I may have to look at that. If you want to make a lot of gold just go do all of the DB quests. Its about 1,000 gold for each main quest and a special item should you do the optional objective. The last quest offers you a reward of 20,000 and after the main quests are done you have an infinite number of lesser assassinations you can do for 800 each. After doing all of the DB quests I managed to pocket 40,000 gold with collecting and selling what I had along with hitting up the wife for some cash every once and awhile. If I had saved up my money I would have a lot right now, but I have three houses full of items that I really need to sell and organize. As with Oblivion, I am on a personal journey to collect the armor of the city guards from each city and have all of them except for Windhelm I think. Now as far as dragons go, kill the one in Whiterun because it seems to be the only way to get them to appear. For me they usually appear in Dawnstar for some odd reason. I enjoy the perk system but I do agree that unarmed should have its own little tree, but what are you going to kill in Skyrim with your bare fists? They don't have power fists like they do in Fallout after all.

That would be pretty sweet to. I love Elder Scrolls, but I dare saw Bethesda isn't as adventurous as they used to be. There's a lot of amazingly awesome stuff they could do in Skyrim, but they'll never be able to do everything they could do.
Maybe someone will make a mod.
