Exactly!

This going to be a big, heavy delivery...

So yeah, remind her this was waaaaaay back in the day!

Uh oh:

Chopxsticks wrote:I don't recall any information on the arrival date of the expansions? I believe that only the core box is showing up? I'd say this is only partially wrapping up.

Looks like you'll have to remind her again eventually!

All kidding aside, I'd LOVE to get an estimate on those expansions - because this one is looking like it will delivery completely around August 2016!

For the people that played, how did it feel? was it any good? I read on BGG that the game was frusterating at times :(

I'd like to hear some more opinions and any comparisons that people can make to other dice systems/wargamining systems/rpg systems.

I have no way to go, as I'm in The Netherlands myself

Edit: spelling

I thought it was fantastic myself. But yes, if we hadn't had GM leniency one of our group would have been killed the first round so I could see frustration if you aren't equipped properly for the beast. The game is brutal, but victory is so sweet.

Everyone got to chitchat with Adam, and it was a ton of fun. I'm definitely excited for the game.

To add some info- we fought a level 2 Phoenix. The idea is to fight the lower level versions of monsters to understand what attacks they use, and how they fight- they'll use the same moves plus extra as the upgraded version. So if you know it's capable of one-shotting a certain way, you can equip everyboy appropriately before the hunt. Of course you would have the initial encounter to worry about, but it's also not as powerful so less likely to succeed in those damaging attacks.

It had a lot of polish. Played relatively fast and offered a lot in the tactics department. the monster mechanics especially shine as the lower level monsters essentially train you and get you ready for the higher level monsters AI tactics. And the combat is deadly and brutal. I'm delirious from con fatigue or I'd go deeper but it definitely made me a believer and I didn't back the KS.

Did he mention anything about when all the expansions might also be shipping?

I'm guessing....after CNY 2016?

But hoping for before that!

I seem to recall that it was said that all expansion were shipping with the main game, cause it would have cost too much to have multiple shipping.

From the comments

Upcoming shipment is everything except expansions. Those are still in print and assembly. Tho the miniature production for them as been finished since feb 2015.

I honestly wish we could group them. But the box dimension and weight of a typical order took it to FREIGHT class shipping! hahahaha Its just not possible!

So split shipping is actually cheaper than all in one go

I think it's also be said that people who ordered multiple main boxes will be getting multiple packages, as again shipping them singly is cheaper than putting 2 or more together

It also made it easier for the packing company as they could just box up the core game with all the freebies and then ship two (or more) copies to those that bought multiples

Must've missed it, but when are we getting the freebies? Do they come with the main box or with the expansions?

2 waves, because the main boxes or The Game are so huge.

Wave 1 = The Game, only.

Wave 2 = everything else.

This allows Adam to maximize output by just pumping out identical main game boxes, clearing space and volume very quickly in wave 1.

Then, the complexity of pick and pack for wave 2.

Of course, now that he's doing 2 waves, if only he had done wave 1 back in Nov. '13

I think some of it will be in the box as it was stuff added to sprues (eg the masks),

but as Sinful Hero says I think most of the extra stuff survivor gets above and beyond the base game will probably come separately direct from Adam

I was under the impression that small pack items would be coming during wave 1 shipping. I could be wrong/that could have changed... I was thinking we'd see the Core, plus promo figures, plus Survivor bonus, plus maybe armor kits and resins.

Since the box of Death is coming through the distributor directly, this may have shifted...

Either way, it's an exciting time, alas!

I... actually don't think I care one bit that there'll be multiple waves. I'm expecting that I won't be close to done building and painting the core by the time expansions arrive (unless maybe it's epic so I paint like crazy, or epically more-late).

If I didn't get a core box, but did order some kingsmen, will I get them I the first wave?

I thought I'd read somewhere that the free bits everyone got would be in the first round as well, but I can't for the life of me see it... so I may have been dreaming.

I wouldn't expect it - wave 1 is supposed to be whole Game boxes, only. A la carte Kingsmen should be part of the wave 2 pick & pack.

Kingdom Death gameplay video CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!

That looked fun.

From this brief glimpse the game definitely seems like it'll be able to forge an interesting narrative for a campaign which should keep me interested in more than a singular play session.

Keep in mind, everyone stated injured, as did the lion. I love that near the end, add the AI cards are circling the drain, it doesn't just roll over and die. It gets nastier...

There were a few errors. When one survivor died, they forgot to remove the Enraged Mood card.
I think the Spear weapon also has a rolling save against traps.

Either way, looks S-T-U-P-E-N-D-O-U-S !!!

(I muted the video when he was saying "I'm maybe spoiling too much," and then went into The Butcher event.
Gotta save as much as possible.
I didn't even pause and read all text I could see. So. Fething. Stoked.

I think this is going to be one of those games where you HAVE to remember your rules. Like have a post it in front of you with highlights.

Can't FREAKING WAIT!

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.
