Gwar: "Legacy" is Type 1.5, right?

I thought that they Banned more than Type 1 ("Vintage").

Type 1 Bans only about a dozen cards total, of which the bulk are Ante Cards (to conform to US gambling laws), which haven't been created for more than a decade. The overwhelming majority of the cards printed are valid, although some are Restricted to 1 per deck.

Type 1.5 Bans a whopping (heh) 64 cards, including most of the "strong" stuff which might be restricted.

Considering the sheer number of Magic cards printed (over ten thousand), that the list of "problem" cards is well under a hundred isn't too bad, given that Legacy / Vintage card pools still number over 10,000 unique cards to play with...

T1 is vintage, here they only ban Ante and "Physical" Cards like Chaos Orb, but they restrict a lot of powerful cards. Other than that, no Card is "banned".

T1.5 is Legacy, rather than restrict the problem (aka broken) cards, they just outright ban them. The great thing here is that (unlike GW) they errata their older cards so that they can be used, and even have every single card ever made free to view on-line. Not only that, but they review their Banned/Restricted Lists ever 3 months and issue new errata every 3 months.

If WotC can do that to 10k+ Cards every 3 months, how hard is it for GW to do it ONCE and update all the codex's at once?

The answer is "Not very but they are greedy gaks."

Keep in mind that WotC is a rules company, not a minis company. If GW ever became a rules company, I suppose they'd change their focus accordingly.

On topic I would never ever get into a physical fight with someone over Warhammer. I would only defend myself from said attack. I guess the area I grew up in West Philadelphia, has taught me to not start fights unless you are willing to take the chance of getting shot/stabbed/gang beaten. Hell I was 13 when some kid got cut with a boxcutter in school over freaking Pokemon!!

In the UK you kill someone trying to kill YOU you get strung up big time. In the US I doubt they would give a toss.

While there are a shocking amount of cases in which people do get off scot free for killing someone, there are many many instances of people shooting in true self defense and going to jail or having charges brought against them.

The way you say it makes it seem as if we run around playing cowboys and indians. To phrase it with this terminology is erroneous.

However, (and without getting too far into it) a problem we face in the U.S. is the shocking rate at which a persons race is factored into these gun related incidents. This trend is something we experience at a much higher rate as opposed to other nations.

Still, Id much rather take my chances as a Well spoken White guy in the US than in the UK. I mean, seriously, in the UK if you are black/Asian you can get away with anything because if the police make even a single mistake the whole case gets thrown out because of "racism".

Of course if you are Arab you just get detained for 3 months without charge before the Americans "borrow" you.

I would love to have somebody try to hurt me. there is a certain respect for mini's that a very pretty but we are playing a game and I am moving your guys. it would really suck for the table to get tipped on accident.

It's not a shootout if chainsaws are used. Usually.

I installed a Picatinny rail system on my spray gun so I could attach my official GW Markerlight on top. This has come in handy countless times, since every Warhams player knows sometimes you just have to "go loud" on some kids who are grabbing your toy tanks.

In case that doesn't work, I've installed several firecrackers with remote detonators inside each of my Russes and Chimeras. If one of those little imps manages to make off with my stuff, I can blow the tanks to pieces from a distance of up to 275 yards (confirmed range, possibly up to 350). If I can't have it, nobody can. It also makes Apoc. games much more exciting when your Baneblade goes down and you roll a six. No need to roll for the explosion radius OR remove the models affected!
