meh, i doubt Captian America could take on a SM in single combat. Red Skull crushed him in old man logan, so i doubt that he could do much damage to a marine.

i have a couple of old plastic SM. apperently after a few experiments ive come up with this:
what can take out a SM?
size 11 combat boot,
a 3 year old,
a drop of about 10 feet, (it took 3 drops so call it 30 feet)
and a basic bic lighter.

sorry only had he 4 to work with but if any one wants to send me more, im sure i can inlarge the list..

it'd have to be whatever the fluff requires to kill off that particular marine (including but not restricted to, swine flu, arrows, bad gas, bullets, las-bolts, or freshly baked swedist cream eclairs)

About Spartans, yeah, they are awesome super soldiers, but I'm kinda disappointed in thier armor. Only reason its good is because of the built-in shields which were stolen from alien technology. Marines have super thick admantium/ceramite armor. But it doesn't have any shields, though.
And Spartans themselves are comparable to Space Marines as far as biological enhancement (speed, strenght, etc.) but they don't have some of the stuff marines have (like an extra heart, lung, etc.). Also, Spartans weapons are just assault rifles, 22 mm. IIRC, while the marines have the 65 or 80 cal. bolters with explosive rocket-propelled rounds.

I'm pretty sure a Big Daddy from Bioshock can take down a Space Marine but it depends on the variant.

A Rosie might be able to take a SM because of it's Rivet Gun which IIRC could pierce through SM Amour but I'm not sure because I don't know how strong Space Marine armor is. Now if Rosie and Space Marine were to engage in hand to hand combat, I'd say either could win, because the Rosie (and other Big Daddy variants) do have high physical strength but so do SM, so it's a tie.

A Bouncer could because it's both fast and it's got a huge drill which I can imagine is very devastating so if it were to battle a SM, I can imagine an SM trying to shoot the Bouncer with a Bolter but the Bouncer will probably do a dash and use it's drill to stab the SM with it's drill.

Aren't those Big Daddy suits just made of like... Cast Iron or something though? A Bolter shell would demolish them, considering how brittle that stuff is compared to other metals.

A good horde of the Arachnids from Starship Troopers might do a number on a marine.

a Mobile Infantry trooper from the NOVEL, starship trooper
example : on a simple raid they were armed with mostly high explosive weaponry and atomic weapons

Any character from any movie, novel, tv series, or comic book that the author is feeling benevolent enough towards to have defeat a nameless space marine.

Or bugs bunny. Hard to beat bugs bunny.
