This is for Solar_Lion and Gitsplitta, my buddy brought over some of his WIP Executioners. I should have taken a picture of his test models, but this is what his camo pattern is going to look like. I'll post more pictures once he brings over some completed marines.

here is an update of what the squad will look like. Only a few details to do .

Sweet Solar_Lion!!! They really look spectacular! How many extra jump packs do you need? I'll send them right away.

I'm in need of 3, but If you want to keep them I can order some more from CH. They did work well for this project.

I still need to fix a couple of flaws ( stripe on the CS, some writing on the Purity seals and loin cloth)

Will be trying your basing technique tonight. I have to go get some plant peices, most of mine is dried out ( 12 years old)

PS. I have a lot of heads if you need them. the BA ones have good " mouth open " poses.

BY THE WAY I was e-mailing some chapter symbols to my wife, she is a photoshop master, and while looking for them I discovered that if you google astral claws my guys show up on the first page. I just thought that was cool.

Astral Claw news: my land raider has been put together, i just need to do some green stuffing before I base it, I've also managed to create a few more marines, unfortunately no painting has been done

Great Marine Swap: Inushi has arrived at my house, he looks AWESOME, pictures will be posted once I have updated his base in my ice scheme

Executioner news: I was over at my teammates house and he is mass producing his camoed marines, almost ten have been completely camoed along with one of his tanks.

Adepticon news: 63 days left.

Battle news: Tomorrow I am taking on a Tyranid force, DEATH TO THE XENOS! The plan is to use my Astral Claw list to see how I feel about it. I don't expect to play against many tyranid players at the tournament but they are a ton of fun to play against.

SHABAM! Oh man, they are coming along nicely. Hand painted all of the axes on the right shoulder pads, details next then some basing stuff. More later...............

Current news: We are in the middle of a battle at the moment. Inigo, Inushi, Walters, Evrard, and Aquilum are currently taking part. Astral Claws and Executioners vs Tyranids, playing an old Adepticon scenario.

So far we're at the bottom of the third and it's up in the air.

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate zoanthropes?

I'm in a battle too. My Adepticon army expanded somewhat (1850) vs. my son's Necrons. We're at the top of turn 3, (he's up) and it's nip and tuck. Destroyers blew up one razorback in the opening volley of the game, but the other exacted vengeance by knocking out a monolith in turn 2. Thank God they don't come back!

OK! Battle was bloody. We had to stop before starting turn 5 but up until that point the primary objective was contested, we owned the secondary, tertiary was kill points so who knows. Overall my army did well but I need to do some tweaking.

As for the marine swaps everyone died except Aquilum. The center was a violent mass of marines, genestealers, warriors, and gaunts. At the end of turn four I had two marines walk away from it. but they were about to be charged by another wave of gaunts, a trygon, and a tervigon. My teammates assault troops were the only thing in their way.


Overall great time!

Don't have my first squad yet, but havemade progress.

Ice, I absolutely hate painting orange. I don't know if its just winter, or if those models I received were bad voodoo, but orange isn't working well. Almost like how yellow doesn't.
Ah well. My Astral Claw is almost done, so w/e

Yes they are chapterhouse back packs. One of them has a broken vent flap , but it's on the bottom so not really visible.

I wish I could take better pics. They look much nicer in person. Sadly when git and I play were going to have a lot of yellow on the board.

When I'm done with my list...I like to do a Lamenter Dread, but Git set the bar pretty high so I'll keep practicing.
