Well, I added his ebay profile name to the TR because it seems that this is main way that he is selling his wares now. It will allow users to put the Dakka screen names to his eBay profile.

I am not worried about him because I am acting within EBay's and Paypal's rules by reporting what I think to be fraud. I notified him of my notification to EBay so he is not blindsided and lashout at Dakka or any random person that strikes his ire.

It is the right of the person whom thinks that he or she thas been defrauded on EBay or Paypal to file a report with them. So a report by a buyer with Paypal or EBay would not get the buyer in any trouble or be grounds for a lawsuit. Since these people did this within offical channels and he got his chance to respond it is not open to any kind liable suit in the US or UK. Business law 101.

Oh well, he has to lash out somehow. I just wish he would use a damn period every so often because his rants are so hard to read. So, if you have any pending business or communitcation with this individual please post it because the info my help someone else out. Thanks.


P.S. I also found the law office that was the atty that Mr. Heath "hired" for the c&d email that a couple forums got. I am wondering if anyone had contacted that law office yet about the email?

Stuck another Counterfeit item report up on the Tyranid item, Hopefully Ebay will take heed.

As for contacting the law firm, I'd suggest sending an email warning them of potentially damaging use of their name and company, I'm sure action will be taken privately by them.

Holy crap, that Exocrine that Pipboy mentioned is the EXACT same picture I mentioned in my previous post. There is no possible way he could be selling something original if he's stupid enough to use the same picture again.

I've done put a scam report to ebay about this guy as well since I've been paying attention as well. I've also looked back at his feedback reports and pulled up the links to the old auctions. Compair them for yourself.

Very sad I think that he has no real originality and that somehow ebay has not seen fit to already stop this despite the obviousness of the scam and that many of us have openly complained and/or reported him.

Thank you to Eszharen, CinderBlack and to everyone else that has been doing what they can to solve the gaming communities little proble called Mr. Heath.

I have reported him for most of these items and some have been pulled and some have been left. EBay is very hit and miss when it comes to these things. But if they get flooded with reports over his items then they will go into action quicker.

I sent a message to the Editor of The Miniatures Page about the email C&D they got from a "lawyer" in Mr. Heath's town. They never reported the bogus email to the firm but I am thinking I will. I think they will have a fit and do something to fix that issue with him.

So, please everyone keep on reporting his auctions that are obvious scams to EBay so we can shut down his operation before the holidays get here. No reason to let him ruin someone's holiday by being scammed.

Update on my case - I failed to find the proof of postage slip, so once 28 days since I posted it passes I will have no option but to give him a full refund

2 things to bear in mind when posting to this chap, it seems:

* Signed For
* Insured

Those are actually good all-round rules for dealing with internet trades and sales.

ALWAYS send an item with tracking. Whether it's international or local, if you don't want to be liable for the replacement of the goods or a refund, ALWAYS use tracking.

If it's a high dollar amount, going to a risky country (Italy, Phillipines, Brazil, etc.), or you are not sure of the person's reputation, ALWAYS insure it and require a signature whenever possible.

Aye, always get things on 1st or 2nd class recorded, for paypal, proof of posting isn't valid proof anyways. They want to see a trackable code, which you only get via recorded or special delivery.

Please also note, from about four months ago, they don't use those silver and orange labels anymore, and your code will be printed on the reciept.

Here is the letter I emailed to the law firm that Mr. Heath's "Lawyer" that emailed The Miniatures Page's editor. I bet they don't have a clue that this was sent in their name.

For the last several months myself and a number of other people have been attempting to shutdown an individuals (Mr. Antony Heath) operation in your area. He has been recasting other companies IP and selling it as original items. Also, he has attempted many times to defraud people, Paypal and EBay by claiming that items he has bought has never arrived which he files claims for a refund. But in investigations by these companies have found that he had received this items. In total it has been thousands of US dollars to this point.

The reason I am contacting you is on one of the websites (www.theminiaturespage.com) that we use for our tabletop wargaming hobby a number of people were discussing this person's fraud. There was an email sent to the administrators of the website which is posted below. It claims to be from your law firm. However, most of us that read this letter find that so very hard to believe because of the number of grammatical and spelling mistakes made. Also, the writing style and spelling mistakes are dead on to Mr. Heath's other communications with many people.

Many people along with myself believe that it is Mr. Heath attempting to scare people with the email by impersonating a member of your law firm. I do not want to see your law firm's name damaged by this individuals actions.To this point I do not know how many more emails or letters he could have sent out with your firm's name attached but it would not suprise me. Attached is the individuals name, contact information, the link to the website that the email was posted too and a copy of the email which is all below. Thank you for your time and attention.

Just so I'm clear, you looked up and emailed the actual Ciril Jones (Cyral Jones & Co. I assume) about the supposed one in the C&D from Heath? That should be interesting.

According to the thread you linked to on the Miniatures Page, they did mention that they had already contacted the lawyer's office. Regardless, please keep us informed of any developments, should they respond.

It would seem that Mr. Heath's lawyer has the same grasp of the english language as Mr. Heath. You would think someone who practices law would have much better grammar

Well done Pip, you've done amazing work here (and everyone else who has contributed, myself not included).

I just hate it when someone tries to scam and steal from other peoples hard work. I spent 11 years in law enforcement dealing with people like that and the only why to stop or slow them down is by standing up to them. This is what I hope to accomplish. Keeping the light shining on him so he can't scurry into a dark corner and come up with a new way to defraud someone.

I really could not have done even half of what I have done so far without everyone's support. With your continued support and flow of information we can put an end to his scams.

Along with others observations he is slowly changing his M.O. on how he words his auctions and what he is selling. I know that he still reads this site and most likely this thread so to Mr. Heath, we are watching.

Well, here is the follow-up with to the email I sent to the atty office that the email to TMP came from:

Thank you for your e-mail. The letter is not from this firm and we do not have a Clive Jones working here.

Also, I ran all the names in the email against the UK's national database of attys and there is no such atty on record with the UK government. Depending on what the issue is, misrepresenting oneself in the US is not always a crime but can be a civil issue. My word of advice to everyone that if they receive an email from an atty's office look up the firm on Google. Plus, 99.5% of attys so not send email C&D's to people or companies.

Mr. Heath, you have to be smarter than the avg bear if you want to get over on people with things like this. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

What cracked me up was that he got the name at the bottom of the garbled message and the name in the e-mail address mixed up.

I've a friend that is a Lawyer here in the states and asked him to peek at this other so called lawyers email. Sometime after he was done laughing his a** off, he made a very simple observation to me about the email: so called Mr Jones email is Yahoo based. All the lawyers my friend knows do not use a commcercial email like that for official communication of any kind. They will always have a more secure type of email, usualy something assisiated with the isp or through their own server email. Just a little addition here.

I appreciate all of the effort that is going into making sure that this known recaster is not able to continue to operate on ebay, or hopefully anywhere (including here, as he has tried to a few times).

However, as with any transaction report, please only post here if you have relevant information to add.

Off-topic or uneeded posts will be deleted from this point forward to keep this thread clear of clutter.
