While the Regiment is still on preorder, here a preview of the first hero, the Lord of Apoc (AOW45, 11.95 €) :

Id like the lord a lot better with the helmet on his head not in his hand.

I'm surprised, that's the first AoW model I've seen that I give a solid pass on. I am not digging the face, and the leg seems a bit odd. Meanwhile, the Warriors of Apoc look awesome!

Yeah, it's not great. Vampire fangs, weird 80's hair, incredibly badly-sculpted chainmail on the loincloth

Yeah i'm with the above posters, stick that cool helmet on his head and do something else with his other hand, off hand dagger maybe?

I think the over-large knee armour makes the model appear much shorter! Until someone mentioned it was hair, my first impression was that it was a chainmail coif!

Yeah, he's something of a disappointment compared with their other Lords of not-Chaos. The warriors are still fabulous, however.

Yeah, not a huge fan of the hero, but the regiment rocks!

The lord looks stunty. Meh.

Hmm, almost looks like it was originally an orc sculpt. Look at the hand size, knee pad size, etc.

Motion passed? I'd love someone to do decent, scaled (and I mean proportional), multipose zombies. I really, really, really want to do zombie gaming, but the lack of plastic options (and I bought a box of mantic, and they don't cut it) makes me sad.

The deltoid is too wide IMO, but it's apparently an early WIP. Otherwise, a very nice model.

That's a bodybuilding lizard . Not bad, but I want to see more on the regiments!

Pretty awful, IMO. The torso is practically triangular and the club tail is whipping around like it was nothing.

The lizard looks pretty realistic to me.



I would think a creature bred for war and conflict would be at least as big as someone who lives in our world and works out a lot.

I kinda like the Chaos guy bit he's too similar to the other one to warrant a purchase.

Apparently they got flooded with orders. They sold out of the first months' production in about 4 days.

Wow, 1700 boxes are in the queue!! (You can just click on the calculate shipping date button to see). So orders today are projected to ship late April.

That's not bad, though, all things considered! This is fantastic because hopefully this and other companies see this and realize the HUGE demand for actual plastic/resin units, rather than one-off characters.

Well crap. Guess I have a month to lose interest in these models...

The Regiment looks outstanding and I really like the look of that lizard too.
I look forward to seeing more of these big boxes of minis, we need less speacial characters and more massive units to chose from in my opinion

I'm not surprised - plastic increases your manufacturing capacity, but restic doesn't.

Hopefully they'll increase their capacity (i.e. get another machine or the like) and what's more, make further regiments, since this one seems to be such a hit!

IMO much better than the traditional "putrid mess" that is the mark of Nurgle.

Maybe it wasnt too intentional, but I can see a dual purpose for him. He does not look out of place in a Tzeentch army

Looks like they correctly predicted that their current capacity is such that selling the WarCast models via third-party retailers would not be feasible.

I know they won't ever do this, but I'd love for them to do what Raging Heroes does (it is Raging Heroes right?) and do Sci-Fi versions of some of their models.
