Really, did they sell that many boxes? I'm not very happy and I will be sending them back if I see one air bubble.
These better be AWESOME!
Did anyone receive their box yet?
Didn't they do a dwarf box set? Did it not sell?
At the link posted above, the OP said the shipping calculator is listing January 27th preorders as going out on April 20. So hopefully in a week the first people will get theirs and can post here.
The dwarf box set looks amazing, but as "unarmored dwarfs" are a pretty ineffective unit in the current edition of fantasy, it wouldn't have nearly the appeal of chaos warriors- particularly ones that could be used as Chosen, since GW's are so expensive / don't have a true box set. And of course, these look really good!
Hopefully they'll give more regular updates about their status and are able to get on top of the queue. Personally, I don't think anyone should be requesting a refund yet- preorder dates often slip, if they can communicate better about it and stick to their new dates, it won't be that far out of the norm.
However, the people farther back in the queue may be glad of anyone wanting to drop out

I am opposed to lending any company hundreds of dollars for four months without some sort of compensation.
I want a refund because they pushed the date back two months after their calculator said it had been shipped. With no communication whatsoever. Not even a response to my e-mail even.

I don't think anyone here thinks you're wrong to demand a refund. And I think Avatars of War would be willing to refund the money you paid.
I do wonder why you continue to make these types of inflammatory posts. You're more likely to get a response from AoW by sending them an email directly, not by posting here.

Finally got a response, a month later. Basically "sorry it's so late, it may ship at the end of this month."
My response "No thanks, give me a refund. I have things to buy from reliable companies."

Oh I'm not defending that - they should have absolutely done that and I can 100% see why that'd be annoying - but you're acting as if they went out of their way to piss you off, specifically.

Not at all. I just want my money back I paid 3 months ago. Everyone else can sit around and wait for their models if they want.
Speaking of, has anyone received their Warriors of Apocalypse set yet?
I'd think if they were rushing to get all of their orders filled at least some would actually have been, ya know, filled.

I understand where you're coming from SlaveToDorkness, i was incredibly disappointed when i found out that my order had been delayed. Even more so when i checked my e-mail and couldn't find a single notification about it from them.
It's truly just piss poor PR skills on their part, i know they're not based in a country where English is a first language but that is still no excuse for total silence.
I really hope in the future AvatarsOfWar will hire a decent PR person (Please not Richard Gaulding... ) and either severely expand their warcast manufacturing capabilities, or at least offer a limited number of pre-orders to be available whenever they have a decent amount of boxes produced and in stock.

Sometimes companies have the bad luck of offering a product that thousands of people want and the small inhouse casting machine takes months to cast. The warriors are a prototype for this inhouse casting. Seems, between taking orders, casting stuff, learning how to handle the new machine and material, packaging etc, they may have slipped one email. Seems they are not super-human.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do |

I don't think anyone got emails. I knew of the delay, but only because I noticed someone post it on their forums.
I'm not (yet) ready to ask for a refund, because I think the product is worth the wait. But I'm certainly not going to participate in another pre-order from the company.

If you take people's money and then don't produce the product on time, you need to, at the very least, talk to the people who gave you the money.
What's with the "it's okay to be jerked around as long as the little guy is the one doing it" attitude?

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better. |

This was posted 30th March:
Avatars of War wrote:"We are now focused on the Hordes of Apocalypse season, so for a while all regiments and heroes will be for Apoc.
We are very behind sending Apoc Warriors preorders so next WarCast box (although it is now sculpted) has been pushed (we can't release a new box as this would make the cue simply unbearable!).
We are already working to expand our production capacity for WarCast (that is, buying another WarCast casting machine ), but the equipement takes around 40 days to be built once ordered, then has to be shipped to here, we have to hire another operator ... so it might still take a while before we can catch up!
There are plans for warriors of all 4 factions and also for a unit of Apoc Dwarfs, but I don't know which ones will be for this 1st Apoc season (not all of them sadly)."

Blech. Multiple Chaos Warrior regiments in a row + glacial restic release times = no interesting releases any time soon.

Got mine today and I have to say I am more than happy I waited now, although the time delay was bad but they did offer me a refund and some extras as an apology.
I was tempted for a refund but i am glad I did not these are AMAZING !!!! The casts are clean detail crisp and conversion potential endless.
I cant wait to get stuck into these, but they do need to lift their game on distribution time but I am sure being a small business slowly expanding they will get there.

I paid the preorder jan 30th have emailed about every other week to get a real response. Every time I check the site it has a new ship date. Now I understand they are a small operation and they had a huge positive response to these great models. But I also might ask for a refund if I don't get a response this week. It's getting old and I'm not able to play the army missing the key unit. I can get gw models faster.
