Not sure how this is relevant...

Could you explain how this is relevant to the new Lord of Pestilence?

It was more of a comment on AoW's current status as a whole, as well as on the somewhat-puzzling-at-the-time decision on their part only to sell the Warriors of Apocalypse through their own online store.

Huh? But wasn't you mention of potential marketing plans off-topic to the new mini being shown? Am I missing something or was the cart already there before the horse?

Great sculpting aside...that does have too much "man" in it. The body shape is too human and not enough lizard.

This new lord seems insanely short. But maybe that is the picture

Might be. He looks to be about 28-30mm (assuming he's on a 25mm base).

Then again, they have announced that they will be doing an "Apocalypse Dwarfs" regiment at some point in the future.

Looks cool, but short. I really like their quality of sculpting based on what I have done.

It's hard to get a good scale off that picture. My eyes keep telling me it's on a 20mm base and as such, even smaller than it actually is. I'd need to see it next to something familiar to fully appreciate it.

Are the Chaos Warriors full on resin miniatures, or plastic? Some of those heads are nice and I would order a full box or two for my chaos marines.

This poor thread.

I like the model, although the last 2 pages have less to do with the work by AoW and more to do with mastery of the english language.

That said.. although it's not nearly the same type of mini, for those that like withered and diseased Nurgle, this is by far my favorite mini in old Papa Nurgle's range..

Has anyone recorded their Warriors yet? I paid on 2/1 and it was supposed to ship 3/28. I e-mailed them last week and got nothing. Going on 70 days and it's starting to wear on me.

I paid on 02/14/12 and was told may 15 is when the box would ship.
Really, did they sell that many boxes? I'm not very happy and I will be sending them back if I see one air bubble.
These better be AWESOME!
Did anyone receive their box yet?
Didn't they do a dwarf box set? Did it not sell?

Well this news ruined my day, i was all excited thinking my warriors would be shipping within the next 2 weeks. Instead i get to wait until June 18th.

Honestly im perfectly fine with companies taking orders in advance, but its the lack of communication that bugs me. I didn't even receive an e-mail notifying me of the delay.

June? Wow that blows

Something tells me someone at AoW thought "Oh these? Yea they're cool but I doubt they'll be as popular as the dwarves. I'm sure production will be fine"

The quality better be worth the wait

No, I doubt that Felix anticipated the demand. I am certain that they are doing everything in their power to get things taken care of as quickly as possible. The process they are using is not a process that is as fast and regularly reliable as metal casting. There is just more time built in to the process. Also consider that they are a smaller outfit than most other manufacturers who deal with production on the scale that they have under taken with this project. Just give them some time Felix and Co will work it out fine.

Well yea I do understand they are relatively small. It is just that quite a lot of other people cannot wrap their heads around that and internet backlash can really make a company look bad. Just look at defiance, late by 4 months now and people are doubting whether its worth the wait

I'm sure though this will be a good crash course for the company though
